Recovery Navigators (Mental Health) – Intensive Community Rehabilitation Service

Salary: £24,570 per annum

Location: Small Heath, Birmingham

37.5 hours per week – flexible shift patterns to include weekend and evening working. Part time roles will be considered.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinically led Community Intensive Rehabilitation Team within Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust and as such although the service manager employed by us will be your line manager you will be working as part of an integrated medical and psychology team. You will be working in partnership with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties who are currently living in their own accommodation within the Birmingham area and require a period of intensive rehabilitation. Your support of individuals will be a person-centred recovery approach that focuses on developing, maintaining, and strengthening individuals’ skills, abilities, and personal resilience.

Ideally you will be QCF/NVQ level 3 qualified or have a willingness to work towards this qualification. It is essential that you have an empathy for people experiencing mental health issues and are committed to service user involvement and empowerment. You will have a good understanding of equal opportunities, confidentiality, safeguarding and health & safety.

You will need to be flexible due to the shift patterns which include evenings and weekends. Shift patterns include 9.00am - 5.00pm and 12.00pm to 8.00pm.

Stepping Stones North Wales is a specialist charity providing free trauma-informed counselling and therapeutic support services to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse across the six counties of North Wales. •Minimum 6 years + post qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate, and

As Complementary Therapies Lead, you will lead the delivery of high-quality complementary therapies to children, parents and families of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. This includes families affected by a child’s life-limiting condition, and families who experience the sudden and unexpected death of their child. The Complementary Therapies service includes individual treatments and therapeutic support groups, to help ease physical discomfort, reduce anxiety, and promote emotional wellbeing in a safe and nurturing environment. 

About you 

This role requires a minimum of two years post qualification experience as a Complementary Therapist practicing aromatherapy and holistic massage. You may have additional qualification in reflexology, Indian head massage, or acupuncture. 

We are looking for someone with experience of working with individuals of different ages and those who have experienced trauma or significant mental health struggles You will be passionate about utilising the complementary therapies for easing a wide range of difficulties, including helping children with medical conditions, carers struggling with the emotional and physical difficulties that arise in caring for their life-limited child and families who have experienced the death of their child.

You must be registered with the Complementary and National Healthcare Council or other professional body (or able to apply and confirm membership ahead of appointment).

YOUR PURPOSE

To research, develop and secure funding, projects and opportunities that deliver DMWS’s charitable objectives and to support ongoing stakeholder management to ensure positive relationships.

This involves researching and applying for funding and contract tender opportunities to support the armed forces community and other frontline services. This will include Trusts and Foundations, corporate partnerships and tenders with organisations that include the military, police, NHS, Fire service and other organisations with frontline roles.

The aim is to secure funds and opportunities to support DMWS beneficiaries and to increase DMWS footprint.

The role will also require report writing to present evidence of DMWS delivering effective value for money and positive impacts for our beneficiaries in line with the funder’s requirements. An ability to also promote our outcomes through case studies and social media posts would also be advantageous.

Travel will be required and some occasional overnights stays can be required.

Overall Purpose of the Role

Youth Action Alliance (YAA) exists to support the personal and social development of young people in Kensington and Chelsea and neighbouring boroughs, helping them build resilience, confidence, and skills for the present while shaping positive futures.

We are seeking an experienced, values-driven male youth worker to lead the Staying Connected & Boys Project. • Prepare attractive and compelling project-funding proposals and applications to grant-making trusts, the Lottery, UK companies, corporate supporters and other project funding sources, ensuring the potential of these sources is fully maximised
• Prepare attractive and compelling statutory funding applications and tender bids
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify innovations and ideas for fundraising bids
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of the Hub’s activities and an understanding of the income generation and funding opportunities they create
• Contribute to the consistent brand communication throughout all fundraising and income generation activities
• Represent the Hub at external meetings and events as required
• Maintain meticulous records, including maintaining the fundraising and income records on targets and approaches
• Provide and produce relevant reports to the CEO on the Fundraising Strategy, including performance indicators to enable the Hub to assess the effectiveness of the strategy and ensuring results are carried forward in subsequent fundraising plans

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Frontline Support Services Lead to take day-to-day ownership of our specialist support service. This is a senior, hands-on role for a practitioner who is equally confident providing direct 1:1 support to high-risk clients and leading a small team of frontline Support Workers.

As our Founder and CEO steps back from operational delivery of frontline support, you will be the heartbeat of our frontline work — ensuring every person who reaches out to us receives safe, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed support.

What You'll Do

Direct Client Support

• Provide trauma-informed 1:1 support via phone and email to LGBTQI+ individuals and parents from religious and culturally conservative backgrounds.

• Hold complex, high-risk cases with confidence and care, including those involving suicide ideation, honour-based abuse, forced marriage, domestic abuse, and emergency relocation.

• Maintain clear professional boundaries while delivering culturally sensitive, community-rooted support.

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Line manage two existing freelance Support Workers and support the onboarding of a third.

• Provide regular case supervision, complex case guidance, and decision-making support.

• Champion staff wellbeing and safe working practices in emotionally demanding frontline work.

Safeguarding & Risk Management

• Act as the senior safeguarding lead for all frontline services.

• Lead on DASH risk assessments, safeguarding escalations, and referrals, including MARAC processes where required.

• Ensure safeguarding procedures, escalation pathways, and professional boundaries are consistently upheld.

Support Group Facilitation

• Co-host our monthly LGBTQI+ support group, alternating facilitation with the CEO (Wednesday evenings, once per month).

Case Management System Transition

• Lead the operational migration from our legacy case recording system to a new case management platform, including data migration, process development, and staff training.

Who We're Looking For

You will need to demonstrate:

• Significant frontline experience in suicide prevention, domestic abuse, honour-based abuse, or specialist crisis support.

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, DASH risk assessment, and escalation in high-risk contexts.

• Experience managing or supervising frontline support staff in a specialist or statutory setting.

• A trauma-informed, person-centred approach to support delivery.

• The ability to build trust through shared cultural understanding while holding clear professional boundaries.

• Experience working within small, values-led charities or specialist support services.

Rye Harbour Nature Reserve & Discovery Centre is a welcoming and inclusive workplace. Primarily an office-based role within the incredible Discovery Centre building at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. The Volunteer Coordinator oversees recruitment and retention of volunteers at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, ensuring safeguarding requirements are met including DBS checks and references where appropriate. Developing new and innovative approaches to volunteering to attract new volunteers, keeping existing volunteers engaged and promoting diversity in the organisation. Managing volunteer rotas, providing volunteer support and ensuring effective delivery of all volunteer activities. Planning and implementing a range of activities and events to acknowledge and thank volunteers for their contribution. Maintaining and updating existing volunteer data base. Ensuring data retained by Sussex Wildlife Trust is relevant and up to date. The Volunteer Coordinator supports the Discovery Centre team and helps with daily operations of the visitor centre whenever possible.

From our early days when we campaigned to introduce donor cards in the UK, we have worked hard to support and represent the interests of everyone affected by this lifelong condition. We continue to provide practical, emotional, and financial support for individuals and their families, while also working with healthcare professionals to improve care services and campaign for change.

Our ‘Priced Out of Existence’ campaign was shown on the BBC 6 o’clock and 10 o’clock News and referenced by media across the UK. Our #BloodyAmazingKidneys campaign has reached more than 6 million people and 294,000 of those have taken our digital kidney health checker.

We’re building partnerships with leading companies across the UK, raising the profile of kidney disease and working with them to make sure that their customer service teams understand the needs of kidney patients throughout the country, working with them to make sure that kidney patients are top priority for their vulnerable customer teams. We’re working with global pharmaceutical companies developing world class patient information and advice. And we want to identify more companies in different sectors who are passionate about supporting people with kidney disease, which is why we are expanding our Corporate Partnerships team.

The charity is set to build on this success and aims to continue this growth, so that we can reach more kidney patients and their families, providing critical support at a time when it is needed now more than ever.   

About the role

The Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a key role in this growth, managing and securing new corporate partnerships with support from the Corporate Partnerships Manager. Our corporate partnership income has grown from zero in 2020 to c£2.3 million in 2025. It is a very exciting time to be joining the charity and our Fundraising team.

Primarily, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of corporate partnerships, growing strong relationships, delivering partnership activities, and proactively securing new corporate partnerships, including charity of the year relationships. You'll further support the Corporate Partnership Manager and Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications as needed with key activities within larger partnerships, developing a well rounded understanding of how Kidney Care UK works in partnership. 

You will also work closely with the Events, Marketing & Communications teams to promote and support all opportunities to drive corporate income growth ensuring strong collaboration.

Key duties will include;

• Managing relationships with key contacts,

• Delivering partnership activities such as renal unit visits or training presentations to key staff,

• Delivering informative annual reports,

• Proactively secure and onboard new partnerships within your target area. 

You will do this by stewarding the significant number of existing relationships and partnerships we already hold and maximising any opportunities that exist. Alongside this, you'll be working with the Corporate Partnership Manager to manage a personal goal of generating new partnerships through proactive engagement to and through our supporters, beneficiaries, networks, and contacts.

The right candidate will have a proven record of building strong and rewarding relationships, and confidence in managing and building these relationships autonomously. You will be a driven and enthusiastic fundraiser with experience of cultivating new relationships across a range of businesses and sectors and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
