The Pepper Foundation is a local charity funding children’s hospice care at home, specialised play and family days for children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The Community Fundraiser will be joining Pepper at an exciting time as we launch our new three-year fundraising strategy. Backed by committed investment and with full Board approval, we are delighted to be growing the charity to deliver sustainable income that directly supports local children and families with hospice care in the comfort of their own homes. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced relationship-builder to lead and grow community fundraising and challenge events activity, helping to raise vital income for The Pepper Foundation.

You will take ownership of a varied portfolio of community fundraising activity, building and developing relationships with volunteers, schools, clubs, local businesses and community groups, while also nurturing existing supporters and creating an excellent experience for everyone who engages with us. You will lead the day-to-day delivery of our community fundraising and challenge events activity, proactively identifying new opportunities, developing a strong pipeline of support and managing your portfolio to grow income and deepen engagement with The Pepper Foundation.

Hours: 30 hours per week (37.5hrs FTE) working from home - applicants must live within Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire (or surrounding counties)

Salary: £25,600 pro-rata (£32,000 FTE)

Key Responsibilities:

Financial

• Deliver or exceed agreed income targets across community and challenge event  fundraising activities.
• Manage agreed budgets for community fundraising activities and challenge events, monitoring income and expenditure and ensuring activity is delivered in line with agreed targets and plans.
• Ensure activities are delivered as cost-effectively as possible, monitoring expenditure and helping to maximise return on investment.
• Develop and refine fundraising products, activities and supporter experiences that put supporters at the centre of what we do and encourage long-term engagement.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of community fundraising opportunities, identifying prospects, converting enquiries and building repeat support from individuals, groups and local organisations.
• Help convert one-off supporters and new enquiries into repeat fundraising relationships through strong stewardship, follow-up and tailored engagement.

Communication
• Build and develop strong long-term relationships with community groups, schools, clubs and individuals to increase awareness, support and donated income.
• Support and manage key fundraising volunteers to help deliver income and activities.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising and marketing partners to ensure community and challenge fundraising activities are promoted effectively through suitable online and offline channels.
• Confidently communicate the work of The Pepper Foundation and inspire support through a variety of channels, including informal conversations, networking, presentations, written materials, newsletters and website copy.
• Deliver a high standard of donor and supporter care to maximise fundraising potential and encourage long-term support.
• Contribute ideas and content for promotional materials within agreed budgets and timelines.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to broaden participation in community fundraising and increase supporter engagement across the region.
• Proactively identify, develop and secure new community fundraising opportunities with local schools, groups, businesses and supporters to grow income and broaden engagement.
• Ensure relevant staff and volunteers are well briefed on community fundraising activities.
• Always represent The Pepper Foundation positively and professionally.
• Communicate confidently with a wide range of supporters and stakeholders, handling queries and resolving issues in a calm and professional way.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the fundraising team to ensure community fundraising activity is aligned with the wider fundraising strategy and income goals.

Management

• Recruit, train, support and motivate fundraising volunteers to help deliver community fundraising activities and events.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners, such as venues and event providers, to support successful delivery.

Planning and Organisation
• Develop and deliver activity, stewardship and campaign plans for community and challenge event fundraising within agreed priorities, budgets and income targets.
• Deliver high-quality fundraising events that raise awareness of The Pepper Foundation across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
• Use Donorfy, our fundraising CRM, to administer and manage fundraising activity accurately and effectively, working with the Database Volunteer as needed.
• Produce post-event evaluations and recommendations in line with agreed requirements.
• Use insight, pipeline information and performance data to review results, identify trends and recommend improvements to future activity.
• Manage the day-to-day planning and delivery of key events and campaigns, making decisions within agreed plans, budgets and fundraising procedures.

• Take responsibility for health and safety in community fundraising activities, ensuring appropriate risk assessments are completed and relevant fundraising and safety procedures are followed.
• Respond appropriately to unexpected incidents at community fundraising events, following agreed procedures and escalating where needed.
• Take an active role in setting up and clearing down events and community fundraising activities, including periods of standing and occasional unsocial hours.
• Arrange appropriate Pepper Foundation attendance at local community events when needed.
• Manage resources effectively, including volunteer support, to maximise reach, income and engagement.

Reporting

• Produce regular reports on pipeline, activity, outcomes, income performance and learning for the Head of Fundraising, highlighting opportunities, risks and recommendations.

About the role:

As the Development and Fundraising Co-ordinator, you will support statutory and non-statutory funding across Advance’s services, with oversight by the Development Manager and support from the Bid Officer. You will also provide assistance to the Head of Fundraising.

• Support the execution and delivery of proposals, including completing technical documents, due diligence, and social value matrices, ensuring that proposals meet agreed specifications and deadlines, as well as Advance’s quality standards

• Assist the respective managers to review bid application processes, identify gaps, and increase efficiencies

• Support colleagues to generate standardised, high quality funder reports and communications to funders

• Lead on communication with Advance’s partners and internal teams to keep abreast of developments throughout the bid process

• Oversee due diligence of funders and delivery partners

• Support the Fundraising and Development team to maintain regular communication with existing and potential funders

• Maintain Advance’s donor database

• Keep up-to-date, accurate records on the progress of funding prospects and proposals

• Take responsibility for reviewing and keep clear, accurate records of agreement documents and contracts, following the team’s processes for filing and version control

Policy and Research Officer

This exciting role covers both legal and policy work with real scope to develop professional skills and make a tangible impact. It would suit someone who is legally and analytically minded, who is also interested in reducing destitution by influencing Home Office policy and practice.

ASAP’s policy work emerges from evidence gathered from our appeals work and our Advice Line, ASAN and training work. We focus on the quality of Home Office decisions on asylum support, including whether they are lawful, as well as access to justice through the appeals system. As such, our policy work always has a legal slant. We carry out our policy work through discussions with officials, and where necessary parliamentary work and strategic litigation.

The role includes:

1. Legal Advice - The post-holder will represent destitute people seeking asylum at the AST as well as offering advice to other advisers via ASAP’s second-tier Advice Line.
2. Policy and Research - Working closely with colleagues, the post-holder will:

• Look for emerging trends emanating from ASAP’s legal work to support the development of external policy positions;
• Alongside colleagues in the policy team, undertake in-depth research based on this analysis;
• Assist the Policy and Research Manager to engage with the Home Office, the AST and other stakeholders to influence improvements to policy and practice

       3. Monitoring: the post-holder is responsible for collating and analysing operational data from our appeals and Advice Line work. This is used to inform policy and operational decisions. Main Duties & Responsibilities

The IT team supports the Hospice by delivering reliable, responsive technical services to staff, our retail shops, and the systems that help care for patients. In a small hospice environment, this role works closely with the on‑site Head of IT and Systems and is a key, visible part of day‑to‑day service delivery.

The IT support technician will play an important role in providing hands‑on technical support and helping to maintain the hospice’s IT infrastructure. This includes supporting clinical and administrative systems, resolving technical issues, and assisting with small projects and improvement activities.

You will be responsible for:

· Providing technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.

· Providing administrative and end user support for the following services Microsoft 365 suite (e.g. SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Intune)

· Assisting in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.

· Configuring and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

· Administering servers, including installation, configuration, decommissions, and maintenance of operating systems and server applications.

· Managing user accounts, permissions, and access control.

· Installing, configuring, and updating software applications and operating systems.

· Conducting software license management and ensure compliance.

· Collaboration with Head of IT & Systems, and Heads of Department to plan and improve IT projects.

· Staying informed about cybersecurity trends and proactively address potential vulnerabilities.

About the role

You will be primarily providing administrative support to a team across a range of functions within the Thames Valley, managing Excel spreadsheets and internal databases; managing calls to and from a range of people who have been impacted by crime. You will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisational skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload.

We support staff and volunteers to keep them safe within their role and you will be given all the training you need to be able to manage your role effectively. This role can at times be emotionally challenging and you may be exposed to demanding situations that requires resilience. As with all staff within the HS, you will be expected to engage with clinical supervision and supervision with you line manager.

The role

As a Senior Coach you will be working on the frontline delivering high quality one-to-one support to a caseload of young people across London. You will support young people to recognise and capitalise on their strengths by taking a coaching approach. You will work with young people who have been identified as having higher support needs and be proactive in taking steps to manage risk across your caseload. What we're looking for

We are looking for a driven, experienced individual, with the relevant skills to provide high quality support to a caseload of young people and ensure we give the very best we can. We are interested in someone who has a good grounding in a related frontline service and experience of proactively managing a caseload, collecting high quality data and keeping accurate notes. You will have the ability to take initiative and be comfortable flexing your priorities to support young people alongside holding Settle’s strategic goals.

You will be comfortable managing a level of heightened risk with the young people you are supporting, keeping timely and high-quality records, liaising with other professionals from a range of backgrounds, and providing support to colleagues to work towards positive outcomes for young people. As part of our shift to embed our advocacy services in the communities we serve, Lamp are recruiting an Advice and Outreach Officer to play a key role in the provision of our Community Mental Health Advocacy service.

A brand new role for the organisation the successful postholder will be responsible for providing our drop-in sessions and advocacy skills workshops across a variety of community spaces around Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The successful post holder will be a confident public speaker and dynamic self-starter who is able to cultivate and develop relationships with both professionals and service users. You will work autonomously and must have excellent time-keeping skills and be comfortable managing a varied workload.

As an Advice and Outreach Officer you will work in tandem with our Advocates and Information and Advice Officer to raise awareness of our work, provide ad hoc advice and signposting, manage incoming referrals and deliver confidence and skills building workshops. About the Role

As a Senior Administrator you will manage a team of five administrators known locally as 'Service Delivery Assistants' to oversee the support to the Kent and Medway Victim Support Operational Teams including the Triage and Early Intervention team, the Multi Crime Service Case Workers and the Specialist Services Case Workers (Stalking, Hate Crime and Child and Young Persons)

You will manage performance and staff motivation, ensuring that the administration function operates effectively and efficiently carrying out tasks as directed by the Operations Manager. The post holder will need to be flexible and prepared to meet conflicting work demands, prioritise workloads and ensure timeframes are met whilst ensuring attention to detail.

Join Our Team as a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
Location: HMP Full Sutton, York.

Rethink Mental Illness work alongside Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV) and Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust to deliver an integrated stepped care mental health service within HMP Full Sutton.

The team compromises a range of highly skilled professionals who work collaboratively to provide the highest quality of care, for those with mental health needs within the prison and for Rethink Mental Illness employees, this is carried out between 0800 – 1600 Monday to Friday. 

As we work across both sites, there may be some travel involved, but this will be done in work time and expenses paid to support service delivery.

What I will do and achieve:

In this role, you will make a real difference by supporting individuals with mental health needs within a prison setting. Your work will focus on empowering recovery, delivering evidence-based interventions, and ensuring high standards of care.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage referrals – Assess suitability of new referrals, following agreed protocols, and ensure clients receive the right level of care, including stepping up treatment when needed.
• Support recovery – Help people with mental health challenges to self-manage their recovery through person-centred assessments and risk evaluations.
