The External Affairs Manager plays a pivotal role in empowering people with sight loss to live the life they choose. This position leads the development of policy and campaigns within the country, aligning with Guide Dogs’ strategic objectives. Working collaboratively with the central policy, public affairs, and campaigns team, as well as the country leadership team, the role builds strategic partnerships with government bodies, local authorities, societies, and other key organisations. This ensures Guide Dogs remains informed and influential on all policy initiatives affecting the organisation and its stakeholders.

The post holder will be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership, management and oversight of a team.

The post-holder is responsible for shaping policy positions, drafting responses to consultations from councils, combined authorities, and devolved governments, and driving impactful campaigns at a regional level. A key focus is increasing the involvement of blind and partially sighted people in advocacy and campaigning.

Additionally, the role leads the implementation of Guide Dogs’ regional marketing and communications strategy across the Devolved Nations. This includes raising brand awareness, engaging diverse audiences—service users, families, volunteers, donors, and the public—and delivering integrated communications plans that strengthen Guide Dogs’ presence and impact.

Senior Early Diagnosis Programme Manager

The Senior Early Diagnosis Programme Manager is a key role as we develop and evolve our early diagnosis programmes at Bowel Cancer UK. The role will provide strategic and operational leadership across the charity’s awareness and engagement programmes and the new Bowel Towns programme. Context and purpose of role

At Ramblers we work to empower the public and volunteers to take action to protect paths and access – by providing specialist advice and undertaking legal action to protect and expand the rights of way network. As a member of the Programmes team, the Legal Casework Manager will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on the development and operational delivery of the Legal Casework programme, including processes for case assessment and selection.

• Develop a pipeline of legal action to protect and expand the rights of way network – liaising with external legal advisers, preparing documents for access to the Designated Legal Fund and monitoring developments.

• Be a source of expertise on rights of way law and practice, advising members of the public and volunteers on technical issues related to public rights of way.

• Provide training and support for volunteers on aspects of rights of way law and practice.

• Design and develop resources and processes to support programme implementation.

• Work with Nations and campaigns colleagues to ensure that relevant legislation and government policy and practice, at both central and local levels, are as beneficial as possible to the walking public.

We are recruiting a Health and Wellbeing Project Coordinator to lead the delivery of integrated community programmes at the Bridge Community Hut. A core requirement of the role is to coordinate and deliver weekly healthy cooking sessions for local residents, including personally planning menus and preparing and cooking culturally diverse meals. The postholder will ensure that cooking sessions and café activities operate as safe, inclusive and well-managed spaces that promote participation, skills development and social connection.

We are looking to recruit either one full-time Project Coordinator or two part-time Coordinators who are organised, proactive and confident in both frontline delivery and programme coordination. You will have experience working with diverse communities, delivering community-based activities, coordinating weekly healthy cooking sessions and running a community café, as well as recruiting, training and supporting volunteers. You must be able to undertake effective outreach, engage local residents, and support volunteers to develop their skills and confidence. About the role

The Senior Legacy Manager will lead the development and delivery of London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s legacy programme, ensuring legacy giving is embedded across fundraising and marketing activity and is front of mind across the organisation.

This role is responsible for managing our legacy marketing programme, working closely with the marketing team to deliver compelling, sensitive and effective activity. The postholder will also oversee our outsourced legacy administration partner, ensuring legacy gifts are processed efficiently, compliantly and in line with best practice, through regular performance monitoring and review.

Working across the Fundraising and Marketing Directorate, the Senior Legacy Manager will champion legacies as a vital form of support, collaborating closely with all teams in the directorate. This will include working with the major donor team to identify and develop high-value legacy opportunities and supporting the community engagement team to integrate in-memory and legacy messaging into the community talks programme and engagement activity within the community.

Are you a strategic communications professional who can lead a team and shape an organisation’s external profile? 

We are looking for a Communications Manager to lead and develop Equation’s communications function. This is a strategic role focused on building our brand and external profile, managing a talented team, and ensuring all parts of the organisation have the communications support they need. 

You will line manage a team of four, including two Coordinators, a Project Worker and a Freelance Resource Worker. Your role is to provide strategic direction, set targets and quality assure outputs – not to do the day-to-day delivery yourself. You will develop and implement our communications strategy, support other workstreams with their communications needs, and work with colleagues including our new Corporate Partnerships Manager to ensure consistent, high-quality messaging. 

This role also has an important sector leadership element. You will chair the DSVA Communications Group, working with communications colleagues from partner organisations across Nottinghamshire to coordinate joint campaigns and messaging. 

You do not need to have worked in the domestic abuse sector before, but you do need to be an experienced communications professional who can think strategically, manage people well and maintain high standards across everything we put out.

Finance, Sustainability & Compliance

• Optimise financial controls and processes in order to minimise financial risks, and ensure organisational compliance.
• Ensure compliance with funding agreements across all the teams and services.
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of all control accounts including creditors, debtors, payroll and banks; the preparation of monthly management accounts; and preparation/maintenance of control over all non-transactional journals such as accruals, prepayments, fixed assets/depreciation.
• A sound understanding of Islamic financial principles and their application within a charitable and governance context.
• Lead the strategic financial planning process, delivering annual and forecast budget plans, periodic forecasts within year and funding requirements, working closely with CEO and SMT.
• Plan and coordinate all tax, finance and treasury management practice and policy, with reference to charitable status, cash management and investments, reviewing and reporting on investment portfolios on a monthly basis.
• Ensure monthly payroll is accurate and timely, including all matters related to HMRC, and PAYE submissions.
• Have a full oversight of contracting and procurement activities and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, always seeking value for money, and where possible, cost saving opportunities.
• Check the condition of all assets and conduct an ongoing review of whether assets and investments are being put to best use and serving the organisation’s interests.
• Work with the CEO to identify new revenue-generating tactics.
• Responsible for the preparation of annual accounts to prescribed standards, managing effective relationships with the auditors, taking responsibility for the completion and submission of statutory/regulatory reporting in line with prescribed timelines, and keeping up to date with regulatory and statutory requirements within the charity sector.
• Lead on The Charity Commission reporting, including the annual review/trustee report and updating the organisation’s information held by The Charity Commission and Companies House.

Operational Excellence

• Review and improve organisational processes across ELMT, including Operations, Facilities, HR and Policy, ensuring they are efficient, effective and aligned with best practice.
• Identify and propose practical improvements to systems, policies and ways of working, driving internal efficiency and increasing organisational impact.
• Ensure alignment between systems, policies and processes, enabling departments to work effectively together and supporting ELMT’s strategic objectives.
• Over time, take on broader responsibility across departments, particularly in strengthening processes and embedding sustainable efficiencies.

Information Technology Management

• Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management, including Data Protection and Cyber Security.
• Keep abreast of changes and updates to Data Protection legislation and ensure that staff receive regular training on Data Protection and Cyber security
• Evaluate the company systems and processes to coincide with the needs of the organisation
• Decide the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management.
• Direct the management of the ELMT website.
• Oversee the IT service provision ensuring it meets the ongoing needs of ELMT.
• Manage and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

General

• Deputise for the CEO as necessary, including assuming delegated leadership, decision-making, and representational responsibilities as appropriate.
• Represent the organisation externally as required, including with partners, stakeholders, and relevant bodies.
• Maintain and develop organisational culture, values and reputation with all staff, associates and external stakeholders.
• Work flexibly and undertake any other duties agreed between you and the Board of Trustees.
• Support projects of the ELMT and participate in multi-disciplinary, cross-organisational groups and project teams.
• Attend Senior Management Team (SMT), staff and committee meetings when required.

The Policy and Campaigns Manager leads ADUK in championing reforms that pave the way for better access for all disabled people partnered with a highly trained assistance dog. Through dynamic campaigns and impactful initiatives, this role is pivotal to how ADUK amplifies the voices of those whose lives are transformed by these life changing dogs, ensuring that their rights are protected for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Executive Director (ED), continue to develop a compelling case for taking a standards-based approach to the training and welfare of assistance dogs.
• Gather, analyse and apply robust evidence to strengthen ADUK’s credibility, influence and voice on key policy and campaigning issues.
• Work with the ED to identify and progress opportunities for ADUK and its members to engage with policymakers, regulators and other decision-makers, and to support positive policy change.
• Develop and deliver written and in-person reports and briefings for different audiences, including politicians, policy officials, and other decision-makers.
• Collaborate with the ED and Head of Education and Allyship to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
• Lead, manage and convene the ADUK Advisory Panel, ensuring it operates effectively and informs ADUK’s policy and campaigning work.
•  Monitor legislation and policy developments relevant to assistance dogs and dog welfare and communicate these as appropriate to members.
• Support the ED with the delivery of ADUK’s policy function, including the preparation of policy statements, briefing papers, media responses, and submissions to consultations and inquiries.
• Provide informed policy advice to the ED on priority issues affecting ADUK and its members.
• Represent ADUK externally, articulating its policy positions at meetings, events and forums, where appropriate.
• Take responsibility for projects, with the support of the Executive Director where appropriate, including joint work with partner organisations.
• Organise meetings, policy roundtables, expert workshops, policy training and other events.
• Provide information and support to service providers on assistance dog policies to promote access rights for disabled people with assistance dogs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

Essential – applicants will:

• Have experience working in a policy, public affairs/campaigning role, with a solid understanding of how the policy development process works and how to influence national policy.
• Experience in convening and facilitating advisory groups, panels or stakeholder forums to support organisational decision-making.
• Experience in planning and delivering events, workshops or meetings that support policy, stakeholder engagement or organisational aims
• Have the ability to analyse and interpret information from a range of sources.
• Have strong interpersonal skills including being able to develop positive and effective working relationships with a diverse range of people and organisations.
• Have the ability to act on your own initiative and develop new work.
• Be comfortable maintaining existing policy positions and relationships.
• Have experience in communicating complex ideas or processes to a range of diverse audiences.
• Have excellent writing and verbal communication skills and experience in producing briefings, consultation responses and other communications on behalf of an organisation and for a wide range of audiences.
• Represent ADUK with credibility and authority in all external communications

In this role, you’ll lead and manage a regional operations team delivering person-centred services to adults and their families, helping them live the life they choose.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of Vision Rehabilitation Services across a geographical area, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with national standards. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll help shape and improve services, embed safe practices, and ensure that customer feedback drives continuous improvement.

This is a leadership role with direct line management responsibilities. You’ll develop and support a high-performing team, promote professional best practice, and ensure services are delivered efficiently and compassionately. You’ll also contribute to strategic planning, monitor performance against key indicators, and support change initiatives that align with our long-term goals.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is confident managing operational delivery, and has a strong understanding and experience of safeguarding, service design, and quality assurance. Experience in rehabilitation or similar services is highly desirable.

You’ll work 35 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Some flexibility will be required to occasionally work outside these core hours. This role includes line management responsibility for teams across Scotland, so regular travel across the country will be required for meetings and 1‑2‑1s. Your nominated office will be Forfar or Glasgow, however homeworking will be permitted on non‑travel days.

Insight Gloucestershire are seeking a Relationship Fundraiser.  This is an exciting and varied role incorporating writing funding applications, developing corporate partnerships, organising fundraising events and supporting volunteer fundraisers.

The role is based in Gloucestershire, and you will be travelling around the county to meet supporters and attend fundraising events.  You will need to regularly attend our office in Cheltenham.  There will also be occasional travel to our partner offices in Bristol and Devizes (Wiltshire).
