Job description

Senior Groups Coordinator

 

£32,440 gross per annum, 35.5 hours per week

The role

This role is part of the Student Activities department working collectively with colleagues delivering the Guild’s student groups, societies, activities and volunteering work as part the Engagement Directorate.

The Senior Student Groups Coordinator will supervise, develop and support staff to deliver the Student Activities departmental plan. Acting as a role model for the required standard of values, behaviour and performance, they will help to create an inclusive and engaging environment for all.

This role will supervise the Guild’s activity supporting students to participate in the student-led activities and activities to maximise their enjoyment, potential and sense of community. 

This role will ensure the effective administration, training and support for events/initiatives and support for activities to plan for the year, attract members and deliver their activities.

Success in the role will require a highly student and customer focused approach together with an emphasis on teamwork. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a positive ambassador for the Guild and facilitating under-represented activities to find a comfortable place here.
