Brief role description:

The Finance Assistant will provide accountancy and bookkeeping support. This involves inputting purchase and sales ledger transactions, together with cash book and journal entries for three UK entities, using Access financials software. 

The role also includes producing weekly payment reports and monthly bank reconciliations for the UK entities, while also processing volunteer and staff expenses.

Other responsibilities include managing accounts queries via our Zendesk ticketing system.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for Purchase ledger and Sales ledger transactions.

• Producing payment runs for Suppliers, Volunteers & Staff Expenses.

• Assisting Volunteers, Ambassadors & staff with Financial queries.

• Processing Bank transactions and monthly reconciliations.

• Reporting into and assisting the Finance Manager with monthly processes.

Essential experience requirements:

• Basic accountancy and bookkeeping 

• A minimum of 2 years Bookkeeping 

• Accounting Software Experience (preferably Access Financials)

Desirable experience requirements:

• Knowledge of Access Financials.

• Working with a Macbook and knowledge of Google Suite.

• Experience of working in a team environment but also being able to work alone.

Professional certification requirements:

AAT Level 2 & 3 Qualification or equivalent is desired but not essential depending on experience.

We’re seeking a HR Business Partner to join our fantastic People and Culture team.

Working with the Head of People and Culture you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth, efficient and values-driven delivery of HR operations across the organisation. Supported by a HR Adviser and HR Officer you’ll be responsible for the delivery of our HR operations across pay and reward, recruitment, learning and development, wellbeing, engagement and equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging. You will be joining an established team of Admiral Nurses covering Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire

This is a full-time role, working 5 days per week, 9am–5pm, although we will consider part-time applications. Regular travel is required within the regions, so we are ideally looking for someone based in or near the area. As an Admiral Nurse, your role will be pivotal in providing expert nursing support to carers, helping them navigate the complexities of dementia care. You will offer emotional and psychological interventions to alleviate the challenges of caregiving, especially at the early stages of diagnosis or pre-diagnosis, and continue supporting carers through the various stages of dementia, focusing on transitions, loss, and shifting relationships.

- Manage a caseload of clients, including conducting home visits to assess needs and wellbeing

- Empower carers by supporting them to build the skills and confidence needed to care for someone with dementia

JOB PURPOSE

This role sits within The Passage Housing Needs Service (HNS) team. It will provide brief interventions to support individuals who have been placed into accommodation by the HNS team to settle into and sustain their tenancies. The post holder will work holistically to assist individuals to address issues that are impacting on their ability to sustain their accommodation on a time limited basis and will link them into services in their local areas for ongoing support in order for them to gain independence and integrate into their new communities.

MAIN TASKS

• To provide support to individuals who are moving into their new private rented sector accommodation where appropriate and needed. This can include setting up utilities, council tax among other things.
• To support individuals accommodated by the HNS team, in a brief solution focused manner, to find solutions to their housing, benefits, health and other issues when they arise, referring clients to support services, liaising with these, and following up in a timely manner.
• To establish and develop positive and constructive working relationships with a range of services and agencies across London boroughs that can provide support to our clients ensuring the best possible outcomes for them.
• To draw up psychologically informed action plans for clients ensuring they are person centered and taking into consideration the clients’ views.
• Support HNS Workers to complete exit questionnaires to gather feedback and promote co production with the individuals the team supports.
• To ensure that any health and safety and safeguarding concerns are reported appropriately using the correct systems.
• To assess any risk to clients, the environment and staff, record and communicate any risks identified using appropriate channels in the Passage.
• To ensure accurate and timely record keeping using the Inform database as well as client files and ensure all record keeping and information sharing is kept securely in line with Data protection.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• In conjunction with your Line Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, including Reflective Practice, and attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
• Support The Passage Resource Centre operations by undertaking shifts as required.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker, on a full time basis (35 hours per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our London & South East Care Team.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the London & South East Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care

· Practiced in child protection, information sharing and the rules around data protection - you lead by example, drawing on your own professional experience and working within established guidelines

About the role

The UK government’s resettlement programmes (such as UKRS, ARAP as well as other UK Resettlement Schemes) support refugees who are selected and processed in the region of origin and brought to the UK with their status already determined. Under this scheme, a specific quota of refugees will be coming to the UK for resettlement. The Refugee Council has agreed to work in partnership with Kent County Council to deliver the regional programme.

Main Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the Senior Fundraiser to secure major gifts for capital and revenue projects, (predominantly trusts, grants and foundations but this could also include major donor and corporate gifts.)
• Create a trust and foundation funding plan for each fundraising target.
• Prepare and submit compelling and persuasive grant applications for each plan.
• Manage and fulfil grant reports and feedback for each live grant.
• Build a pipeline of potential funding opportunities from trusts and foundations.
• Ensure a database of funders and grant applications is created and maintained.
• Research and analysis to identify funding opportunities with trusts and foundation to develop future plans.
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Fundraiser and the Individual Gifts Officer to set up a new CMS and explore and develop other fundraising income streams.
• Create support documents for parishes to enable them to proactively apply for small grants including National Lottery’s ‘Awards for All’ scheme.
• Research and keep abreast of industry activity and trends.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required.
