As a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, you will manage a client caseload safely and effectively to support individuals who want to make changes to their lives. You will deliver a range of person-centred interventions, including monitoring Opiate Substitute prescriptions and promoting harm reduction. Primarily based at The Recovery Hub in Southsea, your role will involve visiting clients in other services or home environments, carrying out assessments, and working closely with medical teams and key partner agencies to deliver safe and effective support.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a trauma-informed, compassionate, and self-aware candidate with experience working with substance misuse and mental health client groups. You should possess excellent risk management skills, strong professional boundaries, and the ability to build meaningful, engaging relationships with service users. North East Young Dads and Lads (NEYDL) was founded in 2017 and has grown rapidly to become one of the UK’s most recognised organisations supporting young dads, men aged 25 and under in a fathering role. Our vision is for young dads to be valued and supported as parents. In 2024/25 we supported 217 young dads directly and achieved 100% satisfaction among the young dads we work with.
We are a non-judgmental organisation built on mutual trust, respect and honesty. Many of our staff are young dads themselves or have lived experience relevant to the communities we serve.
About this role
We use the term ‘young dads’ to refer to young dads, expectant dads and non-birthing partners aged 25 and under. This includes people within this age bracket who self-identify as father figures, including kinship carers and non-birthing partners.
We use the term ‘neurodiverse’ as an inclusive term covering young dads who are autistic, have ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia or other forms of neurodivergence, whether formally diagnosed, self-identified or awaiting assessment. We recognise that neurodivergent young dads can face additional barriers in accessing parenting support, including in how services are structured, communicated and delivered, and that these barriers are often compounded by stigma, exclusion or a lack of appropriate adjustment.
This is a dedicated role to ensure neurodivergent young dads can access the high quality support NEYDL offers, and that our wider service offer is genuinely accessible to them. You will provide direct, adapted support to neurodivergent young dads, while also building NEYDL’s organisational understanding of how to work effectively and inclusively with this group.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced worker with a genuine understanding of neurodivergence and its impact on young fathers, and the ability to adapt support, communication and activities accordingly. You will be a confident networker, able to build relationships with both young dads and the services and organisations that support neurodivergent people across the North East.

We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our Helpline, Cafes and 24/7 Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Engagement Support Officer to help deliver our patient support, outreach and awareness programmes across the UK.
In this varied role, you'll support people affected by liver disease through online and face-to-face engagement activities, help deliver support groups and events, build relationships with patients and healthcare professionals, and contribute to national awareness campaigns.
We're looking for someone with experience of outreach, community engagement or support services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while working independently.

The role
We are looking for an energetic, organised and enthusiastic challenge event and corporate fundraiser to join our ambitious fundraising team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in fundraising, ideally working within the corporate or challenge event fields.
You will play a key role in growing our corporate income by stewarding existing relationships and cultivating new ones. Alongside growing our TEAM ORPHEUS! Challenge event. Advice & Information Helpline Worker (Mental Health)
Erdington, Birmingham
£26,229 per annum (full time equivalent), £13,115 to £20,983 pro rata for 18.75 to 30 hours per week
37.5 (full time) and 18.75 to 30 HPW (part time) - to cover rota’d activity between 9am–11pm
The Helpline is open 7 days per week with a rolling rota consisting of shifts from 9am to 5pm and 3pm to 11pm, including weekends. Please note that this is an on-site role at the specified location. Remote working is not available for this position.
Our client is a leading provider of mental health services in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
As a Helpline Worker, you will be providing support for those experiencing mental health difficulties through our clients helpline service. The helpline supports people living in the Birmingham and Solihull area.
The support offered will include (but is not exclusive to), receiving calls, emails and webchat from people who may be experiencing crisis, people looking for more general assistance and information about services, carers looking for advice and services, and other community support services. You will provide appropriate referrals and signposting information about our clients services and external partner agencies.
You will be working in a community focused way to ensure that statutory and local organisations are aware of the provision, ensuring that you retain close and effective links with them as well as keeping up to date with any pertinent changes to local provision.
The helpline is a 7 day a week service from 9am -5pm and 3pm -11pm. Under the direction of the service manager, you will support the running of the service in line with contractual requirements, our clients Vision and Values, its operating Policy and Procedures, and any relevant legal requirements.
You will have at least 6 months’ experience in the mental health field, with experience of supporting people to be in control of their lives.
