About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Housing Manager you will:

· Play a key role in shaping an exceptional housing management service to deliver a truly customer-focused experience

· Line manage a team of Housing Officers, leading and coaching them to deliver a responsive and proactive service.

· Work closely alongside your Housing Manager counterpart to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

· Take ownership of core performance areas — including lettings, tenancy management, communal space standards, rental income and service charge delivery — ensuring a consistently high standard across all functions.

· Ensure CHS proactively responds to anti-social behaviour, harassment and domestic abuse cases in a responsive and supportive manner, working positively with partner agencies and building on external partnerships.

Hybrid Working Arrangements – the majority of the working week will be office-based with the housing team in Histon, particularly in the first six months (probation period).

Thereafter it may be possible to apply for a higher proportion of hybrid working, with the needs of the team and service delivery being the prime consideration.

What you’ll need to succeed

· Experience in line managing or supporting staff highly desirable, with a natural ability to lead and motivate others

· A minimum of two years’ experience delivering and managing a housing service within a social housing environment.

· A Chartered Institute of Housing qualification or relevant management qualification is desirable but not essential, demonstrating your commitment to professional development.

· Strong, up-to-date knowledge of social housing legislation, welfare benefits, housing policy and the wider social issues affecting our customers.

· Naturally confident and customer‑focused, you bring excellent communication, relationship‑building and influencing skills to every interaction.

· Experience of using housing management IT systems and Microsoft Packages and strong numeracy skills.

· A full UK driving licence, use of a car for work purposes and business insurance.

Working alongside peer workers and healthcare professionals, you will engage with people who use drugs, people experiencing homelessness, and others at risk of drug-related harm, helping them access harm reduction support, healthcare, testing, treatment, and wider services.

About you

Working within the communications and marketing team, you'll be confident in managing our social media accounts (we have many), ensuring we're using platforms to get our messages out to both wide and targeted audiences with engaging and timely content.

You'll be happy using tools for social listening, interacting with our audiences and building our reach. You'll be familiar with key metrics for social engagement and will be reporting back to colleagues and other stakeholders - and using this data to constantly improve our communications.

You'll be skilled in writing longer form content for our members' magazine, Caring, proof reading articles, posting content on our websites, creating graphics and making sure our content is engaging, audience focused and dynamic. Oh, and you probably know your way around an emoji set and are not scared of a well timed pun. We're a small but effective communications team and pride ourselves on getting stuck in and supporting each other when we need to deliver big on fast moving projects, so you'll need be able to juggle lots of demands while recognising the importance of always hitting deadlines.

What you’ll do
You’ll lead on planning and delivering legacy marketing campaigns from start to finish. You’ll make sure campaigns are clear, well targeted, and reach the right people.
You’ll work with teams across the organisation and with external partners to keep everything running smoothly.
You’ll also review results and use what you learn to improve future campaigns.

- Deliver campaigns across different channels, including creative development, targeting, and planning
- Work with agencies, suppliers, and internal teams
- Track campaign performance and review results against KPIs like ROI and response rates
- Use data and insight to improve future campaigns
- Contribute ideas to legacy strategy and planning
- Work with Regional Legacy Giving and Case teams to support a joined-up supporter experience

We’re open to different backgrounds and paths into this role. You might already work in direct marketing, legacy, individual giving, or another area of the charity sector. Or you might be bringing transferable skills from a different marketing role and looking to move into this space.

Our services provide supported housing for young people aged 16–25, offering both high (24 hour supported) and medium/low supported levels of housing including young families. We are looking for a Housing Mobile Night Worker to provide floating support across our housing services. You will play a key role in ensuring our properties remain safe, secure, and welcoming throughout the night.

Your primary responsibility will be to undertake mobile duties across our Brighton, Hove and Worthing sites. You will start and finish each shift in Brighton, where the organisation’s works vehicle is based. As part of the role, you will provide break cover for static night staff and may be required, on occasion, to cover a static shift at one of our 24‑hour staffed properties.

During each shift, you will visit all properties and help maintain a safe, secure and supportive environment. This includes demonstrating strong communication skills, maintaining accurate records, carrying out building checks, monitoring CCTV, reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns, and ensuring all health and safety requirements are met in line with organisational policies and procedures.

The role also involves working proactively to minimise the impact of antisocial behaviour on residents and neighbouring communities. This may include one‑to‑one interventions with young people, including those experiencing a mental health crisis or requiring medical assistance.

This role is primarily lone working, so you will need to be confident in decision making and in following procedures. As part of your induction programme, you will have the opportunity to get to know the different teams and services, complete the required training, and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident, supported, and well prepared.

This is a dynamic and varied role for someone who is organised, self-motivated and is happy to lone work for most of their shift.

Ideally, you will have experience working with young people, those considered vulnerable, or individuals with multiple and complex needs, and be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for working with young people. You will have an understanding of the needs of single homeless clients aged 16–25, along with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire others, and a strong commitment to making a positive difference to people’s lives.

You will have clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT and keyboard skills, and the ability to work independently and self-motivate. You will be an effective communicator, able to deliver robust and clear handovers and build strong working relationships with colleagues. In addition, you will have the ability to deescalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour in a calm and appropriate manner.

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Manager on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Essex Care Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most. 

Reporting to the Head of Care out of our Essex base and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for delivering a high-quality family support service; and will act as the local Registered Manager for the Care Quality Commission, providing management and leadership to the team in relation to all safeguarding issues.

About the role:

This role is based at Kendal Police Station, West Morland & Furness, Cumbria, and involves regular travel. Due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. As a Case Manager, you will strive to make contact and work on a one-to-one basis with perpetrators to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services. You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse, and/or mental health, substance misuse and offending.

We are seeking experienced professionals from domestic abuse, offender rehabilitation, or mental health backgrounds who bring strong case management expertise and a passion for behaviour change. This role involves delivering one-to-one psychosocial interventions with high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse, aiming to reduce long-term risk to current and future victims/survivors, and children.

Our Maintenance team works across multiple properties to give our residents a good quality, safe home, working closely with project staff to identify repairs required, make repairs, undertake ad hoc cleaning and decoration, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and to make empty homes ready for re-occupation.

We have sites across East Sussex, centred around our Foyers in Eastbourne and Hastings. These services provide 24-hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25, offering low to medium levels of housing-related support. There are homes throughout East Sussex for young people we continue to support into independence via our Transitional Housing teams, these are typically larger shared houses of four to eight residents sharing some communal facilities such as bathrooms and kitchens. In total there are approximately 180 residents in East Sussex that the maintenance team oversee.

A key part of the role involves redecorating empty homes to prepare them for new residents. This work must be completed promptly, to an agreed and consistent standard, and with clear communication to site and maintenance teams to ensure properties can be relet within void target times.

You will also carry out planned redecoration within communal areas of our accommodation, as well as offices and workspaces used by our staff and volunteers.

This could be as simple as going for a coffee or visiting a local area of interest, to supporting them to successfully navigate public transport to access medical appointments or their preferred and loved activities (and maybe find some new experiences along the way!).

- An understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers.

• Providing a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
