Purpose of the role 

To support the financial and administrative operations of Disability Law Service, ensuring accurate financial management and efficient day-to-day organisational support. 

You will manage bookkeeping, legal aid billing, financial records, and general administrative processes, supporting the smooth running of organisational systems and compliance requirements. 

Key responsibilities 

• Manage bookkeeping, invoices, payments, and reconciliations 

• Take responsibility for billing processes and financial records 

• Prepare month-end adjustments (including accruals and prepayments) 

• Maintain accurate financial systems in line with charity and legal aid requirements

We have an opportunity for an Income officer to join our Customer Accounts team in Bristol.

The role:

As an Income Officer you'll carry out a range of tasks including negotiating payment arrangements with customers, providing welfare benefit and money advice and preparing applications for court. You'll be on standby to visit customers in their home as well as occasionally attending court hearings.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering a comprehensive rent & service charge collection service across the region
• Monitoring customer accounts for all tenures
• Managing end to end processes
• Engaging with external agencies including local authorities when needed
• Managing evictions

To be successful in this role you'll need:

• Experience in income management or debt recovery/collection is advantageous, but not essential
• Knowledge and experience of either social housing, home ownership or the private rented sector

We have a newly created opportunity for an Income Maximisation Manager to join our fantastic Benefits, Debt & Money Advice Service at RBL. The role will be responsible for leading the delivery of the National Income Maximisation Service, providing line management, supervision and guidance to our new team of Income Maximisation Advisers working across the UK.

- Carrying our regular quality assurance and compliance checks, including staff observations, file reviews, checking the accuracy of advice given.

- Ensuring that individual cases are allocated and supported in an integrated way that best meets the beneficiaries’ needs.
- Keeping abreast of, and implementing, changes in social welfare law relevant to benefits and broader income maximisation.

You will bring demonstrable experience of leading, managing and developing high performing Benefit or Income Maximisation teams across England and Wales and will have significant knowledge of the full range of welfare benefits available. You will have a solid understanding of statutory and discretionary support available to people from Central Government, Local Authorities, Energy companies and other advice charities and will be keen to utilise this experience to start and grow a new team in our national charity.

You will be contracted to your home address and will primarily work remotely from there, with occasional travel for regional and national staff and team meetings.

The Role

Working closely with the Director of Development, this individual will be responsible for raising funds and managing relationships with prospects and donors, organising fundraising campaigns and delivering events.

You will support the Director of Development to raise philanthropic funds through major gift and regular giving fundraising to support key development projects for the College. About Us Clifton College is a leading independent day and boarding school educating over 1,200 pupils aged 3 to 18.

What you’ll be doing:

 Donor Relations and Stewardship

● Work closely with the Director of Development to deliver the fundraising strategy, with a focus on securing major gifts, regular giving, and corporate sponsorships.

● Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing donors.

● Identify new prospects and funding opportunities.

● Meet with donors and prospects with the Director and alone to develop the pipeline of future support.

● Ensure timely and personalised communication with donors to acknowledge gifts, provide updates on impact, and cultivate long-term relationships.

● Write compelling proposals and impact reports.

● Work with the Head of Alumni to develop engagement strategies for legacy giving to the 1862 Club. 

 Work with marketing to create promotional materials and build our portfolio of testimonials.

Event Management

● Create engagement events for potential donors.

● Work with the alumni team to plan stewardship events for supporters.

● Support the development of parent engagement events.

● Support the Head of Alumni with the career mentoring programme. Administration

● Manage gift processing using Raiser’s Edge, including receipting and thanking supporters, and managing pledge payment reminders. ● Create tailored communication and engagement plans for prospects and donors.

● Provide regular updates on fundraising progress and donor reports for the Director of Development.

● Develop and manage fundraising budgets, ensuring all fundraising activities are cost-effective and within financial targets.

About You

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and have fundraising experience within the education or charity sector.

Required Qualifications & experience

● Proven experience in fundraising, development, or a related field, ideally within an educational or non-profit organisation.

● Strong knowledge of fundraising best practices, including major gifts, regular giving, legacy giving, grant writing, and event management.

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including current and former parents, alumni, pupils, staff, Governors and donors.

● Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlineseffectively.

● A passion for education and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing independent schools.

● A team player who positively contributes to a collaborative and ambitious team culture. Adaptable and flexible to change as required.

● Experience with managing budgets and using fundraising CRM systems (preferably Raiser’s Edge).

● A proactive, results-driven attitude and a desire to make a tangible impact in a school environment.

● Proven experience of planning and implementing successful major donor fundraising programmes

● Proven experience of securing high-value major gifts

● An understanding of trends and developments across the sector and demonstrable knowledge of best practice in major donors, trusts and foundations fundraising

● A degree or equivalent.

Desirable Skills

Social Media Manager

About the role 

As our Social Media Manager, you’ll play a key role in raising Compassion in World Farming’s public profile and driving engagement with our UK campaigns. You’ll use social media to communicate our strategic objectives, inspire action, and support our mission to end factory farming by 2040.

As part of our UK Communications Team, this role blends strategy, creativity, and community engagement. You’ll work closely with campaigns, fundraising, supporter engagement, and HQ teams to deliver high‑quality, impactful social content.

As our Social Media Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

• Managing Compassion in World Farming’s UK social media channels, delivering engaging content and effective community management
• Inputting into and delivering the UK social media content, broadcast and engagement strategy
• Developing and overseeing creative social media content, including video, graphics, and live coverage from events
• Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on social media performance to inform continuous improvement
• Identifying trends, opportunities, and influencers to increase reach, relevance, and impact
• Supporting wider communications activity, including media content and campaign activations

About you

To succeed in this role, you’ll be an experienced and confident communicator with a strong understanding of social media. You’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities, responding to fast‑moving opportunities, and tailoring messages for different audiences, all while staying aligned with our values and mission.

Skills and experience you’ll need to bring as our Social Media Manager:

• Previous professional experience of managing social media channels, with experience using social media management tools
• Excellent understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Experience creating and editing social media content, including video
• Strong knowledge of social media KPIs, analytics, and reporting
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write compelling copy for different audiences

We’re looking for a People and Culture Manager to shape and lead Amala's first dedicated people function, ensuring our global team is supported by rigorous and human-centred people practices. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and our international leadership team to manage the end-to-end team member lifecycle and continuously foster a deep sense of belonging across our remote workforce.
