Salary Banding: £28,050 per annum with potential to progress through salary band. Plus additional payment for overnight shifts on occasion. (£85 per night shift required / £50 per on call shift)

Herts Young Homeless is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable young people in Hertfordshire since 1998. We are professional, passionate, collaborative and supportive charity that provides guidance to young people in need of support.
Future Roots Supported accommodation is located in Welwyn Garden City. We are looking fo a Supported Accommodation Worker who will support the 5 Housemates to learn the skills they require to live independently, whilst ensuring the accommodation is a safe and homely environment to live in. The role will require a reasonable degree of flexibility, to respond to the needs of the house. This may include changes to working patterns or additional ‘sleep in’ nights’’ paid at an additional rate.’’support.

You will help co-ordinate and deliver a solution focused training package, that encourages the young person to take responsibility for all areas of their lives and promote healthy, successful outcomes. You will support them to achieve a successful move on in their life and you will be instrumental in ensuring that those living in the house accept and abide by the house rules.

What will you be doing?
- Manage a varied caseload with differing timescales and deadlines.
- Be involved in the screening and interview process of potential new Housemates.
- Build a professional and trusting relationship with the young people to enable to them to engage with the support and improve their situation and prospects.
- Provide 1-1 and group support and opportunities to learn identified life skills for independent living, using a range of tools and skills, including hyh’s training package. This work will include support around:
- Understanding their rights and responsibilities in relation to accommodation.
- Understanding how their choices and behaviour impacts their situation.
- Providing advice and support around wellbeing and health.
- Provide guidance and assistance in achieving further education, obtaining an apprenticeship, voluntary and paid employment.
- Financial support around areas such a rent, budgeting and income.
- Practical Life skills
- Provide advice and assistance with any other support needs that arise, referring and liaise with other agencies
- Providing group sessions on relevant topics.
- To address breaches of house rules and unacceptable behaviour, including issuing verbal and written warnings to young people in line with hyh policies and procedures.
- To identify any risk factors and ensure appropriate measures are in place
- Report any safeguarding concerns to your line-manager and refer as appropriate.
- Provide additional ‘sleep in nights’ as and when required.
- To work collaboratively with the other Accommodation Worker/hyh staff to ensure consistent, high-quality support is provided to all Housemates.
- Ensure all service administration tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- To promote and facilitate Youth Engagement across the service.
- Engage effectively in multi-agency working, developing collaborative relationships and partnerships with relevant staff in a range of agencies to broker and co-ordinate support for young people.

- After probationary period has been completed, take part in the on-call rota.

Main Purpose Of Job:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team in a dual-role capacity, supporting two vital services run in partnership with Homeless Oxfordshire and Connection Support. The role covers both our Step Down provision—designed for individuals discharged from hospital under the Discharge to Assess model—and our service at Mawle Court, which provides temporary accommodation and support for people with complex needs, including those preparing for more independent living or in need of emergency provision. Working as part of a small, dynamic, and enthusiastic team, you will be responsible for delivering a safe and supportive environment across both services. You will lead on the case management of clients with complex needs, working collaboratively with partner agencies to develop and implement holistic, individualised support and move-on plans. Main Areas Of Responsibility:
- To proactively and dynamically assess, monitor, manage and respond to risk for individuals and in the service.
- To assess risk and suitability of referrals to the service and book new clients in.
- Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality care, support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.
- To work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure the creation and delivery of holistic wrap around support and risk management plans for clients with complex needs as well as to ensure clients have access to appropriate healthcare as needed.
- To work collaboratively with clients to identify and work towards suitable move on.
- To work with other agencies to provide client centred support & risk management plans for clients with complex needs to identify work towards a suitable move on option within 6 weeks.
- To work alongside the Client Engagement Co-Ordinator to ensure clients have access to opportunities to be empowered, build their confidence and develop independent living skills; to facilitate groups and activities as part of this.
- To make and maintain Housing Benefit claims.
- Ensure that IT systems are updated as required clear, concise and up to date record keeping is maintained and ensure information is shared with the team and external agencies as required.
- To represent Homeless Oxfordshire at interagency meetings, as required.
- Manage challenging situations and report any safeguarding concerns without delay in line with procedures and to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Thames Valley Care Team.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Thames Valley Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.
Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

Q:alliance provides support, information, and representation for LGBTQ+ young people in Bedford, drawing on our wider experience delivering established services across Milton Keynes for the last 50 years.
We have detailed knowledge of the issues and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and organisations locally, and it is our goal to create more safe spaces and resources to ensure the LGBTQ+ community in Bedford is visible, well represented, and supported.
Scope
This is a newly created role within our Bedford services, delivering Q:alliance’s established youth support model developed in Milton Keynes and shaping pathways and support that respond to local need in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.
You will manage a one-to-one caseload of support for LGBTQ+ young people, while building relationships with schools and developing a collaborative schools’ network informed by young people’s insights. You will also develop and deliver LGBTQ+ inclusion training for teachers, education staff, and youth workers. This work will contribute to safe, affirming environments that strengthen resilience, wellbeing, and mental health.
You will work closely with the Youth Services Manager and youth teams across our service areas, building on existing Q:alliance provision in Bedford, where a dedicated youth team already leads on LGBTQ+ youth group delivery.
The role includes outreach across Bedfordshire’s urban and rural communities, supporting young people who may experience increased isolation due to limited access to LGBTQ+-affirming spaces.
You will work collaboratively with the Youth Services Manager to agree outreach and engagement targets, contributing to effective monitoring and reporting systems to ensure robust evidence of impact.
What you’ll bring to the team
This role is a key opportunity for Q:alliance to grow our work in Bedford, build local relationships, and better understand and respond to the needs of LGBTQ+ young people across the area. You will play a central role in shaping a new service, reaching young people who may not yet be connected to support, and helping both staff and the board of trustees develop a strong, place-based understanding of LGBTQ+ youth experiences in Bedford.
You will act as a first point of contact for schools, colleges, and youth settings in Bedford, building trusted relationships and establishing a collaborative network of school and college leads. You will share insights gathered through this work with the wider Q:alliance team, helping to strengthen our responses to local need and inform the development and sustainability of services, including future funding.
You will help ensure continuity of support between schools, our support spaces and Q:alliance’s wider youth service provision.
Main Responsibilities
· Networking – Support teachers, education staff and youth workers to access resources, implement inclusive learning environments and provide support for LGBTQ+ young people in their settings. Develop a network of school representatives to provide peer-support on shifting needs, priorities, and situations in a local and national context.
· Data capture and intelligence - Support Q;alliance’s commitment to sustaining a contemporary data and monitoring mechanism, guaranteeing we can deliver thorough evaluations of our services and competent feedback to our funders and stakeholders on the efficacy of our work. Analyse local intelligence directly from LGBTQ+ youth communities and use this to co-produce plans with young people to ensure our youth services are engaging and meeting needs.
· Support, information and empowerment – develop and implement resources for 1:1 education and resilience work with LGBTQ+ young people, provide support and advocacy for young people, ensuring effective signposting to relevant services and collaboration with parents, guardians, teachers and education staff where appropriate.
· Innovation – work with the Youth Services Manager, school representatives and young people to innovate a schools accreditation system that will acknowledge and cultivate schools’ competence to provide safe spaces and support for LGBTQ+ young people.
· Stakeholder and community engagement – Forge and support enduring relationships with key partners, strengthening our commitment to building an alliance of cross-sector compassionate advocates for the LGBTQ+ community in its diverse forms.
· Education – Plan, develop and deliver positive and engaging classroom workshops and school assemblies to a wide range of young people, ensuring key messages are inclusive of diverse perspectives, including those from black and minoritized communities.
· Training - Develop and deliver training for teachers, education staff and youth workers with the aim of improving the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ youth communities and the capacity of those with the power to assist in this endeavour.

As a Night Young People Support Worker at our service in Durham, you’ll empower residents in supported accommodation to develop key life skills, strengthen resilience, and move forward with confidence in education, training, employment, and wellbeing. Using an assets‑based, psychologically informed approach, you’ll create SMART support plans, complete risk and needs assessments, and ensure every young person receives personalised, meaningful support.
As part of the night team, you’ll carry out essential safety checks, respond to incidents, safeguard vulnerable clients and help new residents settle into the service. About The Organisation
In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 the charity was born.

Contract - Permanent, Full Time
Hours - 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary - £32,158 per annum
Location - Based at Coram Campus, Bloomsbury, London and hybrid of office and home working (at least one day a week in the office)

About the role
CoramBAAF has a long-standing reputation as a provider of high-quality webinars, training, conference and consultancy services aimed at social work, health care and legal professionals. CoramBAAF runs a workshop, events and conference programme and offers bespoke training services to agencies. We run a mix of face-to-face and remote delivery. Consultancy services typically include responding to specific commissions to review aspects of services.
We are looking for someone to join our small, dedicated team as Events Officer. This role is pivotal in organising and co-ordinating our webinar programmes, dissemination events and conferences. As part of the Training, Consultancy and Events team, they work in close collaboration with staff across CoramBAAF including colleagues with roles in policy and development and membership services. The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative; be good at managing priorities and meeting deadlines as well as being able to work with a wide range of external stakeholders.
