The Chief Operating Officer provides strategic and operational leadership across the Archdiocese.  You will hold responsibility for ensuring that Archdiocesan operations support the mission of the Church, are financially sustainable, and are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in safeguarding and enhancing the Archdiocese’s Mission and the supporting physical estate for current and future generations.

About the role:

The Finance Manager is responsible for PLH’s financial systems, controls, and compliance. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth financial operations, accurate and timely reporting, and full compliance with UK Charity Commission requirements and donor regulations.

The position acts as:

• the primary point of contact between PLH and its outsourced accounting firm;
• the operational counterpart to a strategic Senior Director of Finance; and
• the primary source of financial support for programme teams. 

Responsibilities:

Financial Operations

• Act as the primary organisational contact for the outsourced accounting firm, setting expectations, reviewing performance, and ensuring service quality.
• Oversee the monthly financial close process, reviewing outputs from the outsourced accounting firm and producing management reports and key financial insights, including:

○ Cash flow and liquidity position

○ Income recognition

○ Restricted vs unrestricted funds

○ Project-level budget variance and cost recovery

• Maintain and update PLH’s Financial Model to reflect actuals, updated revenue and expense projections, and key variances against the approved annual budget, highlighting any significant issues or risks to the Senior Director of Finance.
• Regularly update forecasts based on actual performance and current assumptions within PLH’s Financial Model.
• Manage PLH’s project budgets and work closely with project managers, enforcing consistent standards of budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Oversee the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance with local regulations, and timely coordination with external providers.
• Manage internal accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring appropriate controls, approvals, and segregation of duties.
• Manage and maintain PLH’s expense management and banking systems.
• Oversee PLH’s donation processing systems, with a strong focus on fraud prevention, anti-money laundering, and donor due diligence. 

Financial Compliance

• Review accounting records and supporting documentation prepared by the outsourced accounting firm.
• Ensure compliance across all donor-funded projects, in line with donor regulations and PLH’s internal financial policies.
• Enforce and evaluate strong financial policies and internal controls, regularly reviewing and aligning these systems with UK Charity Commission guidance and reporting requirements.
• Lead audit preparation, coordinate internal inputs, and act as primary day-to-day contact for external auditors.
• Organise the completion and submission of PLH’s annual return and HMRC corporate tax return.
• Monitor exchange rate fluctuations and advise the Executive and Operations teams on mitigation measures (including approved salary adjustments) to buffer sharp decreases in currency value, in line with organisational policy. 

Essential criteria:

• Fully or part-qualified professional accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent), or demonstrably equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a finance role, including at least two years in a finance management or senior finance position.
• Demonstrable experience overseeing monthly close processes and producing high-quality management accounts and financial reports.
• Strong experience monitoring budgets, maintaining rolling forecasts, and updating financial models based on actuals and revised assumptions.
• Experience preparing for, coordinating, and supporting audits, including liaison with external auditors.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including complex formulas, linked models, and scenario-based inputs and assumptions.
• Strong experience working with cloud-based accounting systems and the ability to rapidly become fully proficient in PLH’s finance systems.
• Strong understanding of internal financial controls, segregation of duties, and financial policy compliance in a regulated environment.
• Ability to work with outsourced accounting or payroll providers, ensuring accuracy, quality control, and timeliness.
• High attention to detail, analytical rigour, and ability to interpret financial data to support evidence-informed decision-making.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues and support budget-holder capacity-building. 

Preferred criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
• Experience working within a UK-registered charity and familiarity with Charity Commission guidance and reporting requirements.
• Experience implementing or maintaining financial policies and procedures aligned with UK charity governance standards.
• Experience managing multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange exposure, ideally using Xero or comparable systems.
• International donor compliance experience, particularly with institutional or multilateral funders (e.g. UNICEF, UN agencies, WHO, major foundations). 
• Demonstrated success working in early-stage or scaling organisations, with the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and multiple country contexts.
• Confidence delivering financial guidance or training to project managers and non-finance staff.
• High level of proficiency in written and spoken English.

About the role

Imperial College Union is seeking a Building Co-ordinator to play a central role in the day-to-day operation of the Beit Building, one of the Union’s most active and diverse spaces. This is a hands‑on operational role that sits at the heart of student life, ensuring that the building is safe, welcoming and ready to support a wide range of student, staff and commercial activity.

Working closely with the Head of Commercial Services, Duty Managers and a wide network of internal and external stakeholders, the Building Co-ordinator will ensure that building activity runs smoothly from first enquiry through to delivery. This role also leads the Welcome Desk function, providing a consistently high standard of service and information to all building users.

The post is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, working a 35-hour week across any five days out of seven, including some evenings and weekends in line with operational needs.

What you would be doing

You will coordinate the day-to-day operation of the Beit Building, ensuring all spaces are safe, well presented and available to support student, staff and commercial activity. As the first point of contact through the Welcome Desk, you will provide clear information and high‑quality customer service, while maintaining oversight of access systems, key control and building security. You will carry out regular building checks and ensure that any issues are promptly reported and followed up.

You will manage and coordinate bookings across the building, using the digital room booking system to ensure effective use of space. This will involve liaising with internal and external clients to confirm booking details, coordinating room set‑ups and pack‑downs, and supporting Duty Managers with smooth event handovers when required.

You will lead and support the student Welcome Desk team, including recruitment, training and day‑to‑day coordination, helping to create a welcoming and inclusive environment. You will also work closely with the Health, Safety and Facilities Manager and College Estates to support compliance, report maintenance issues and contribute to improvements in building operations and user guidance.

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with experience coordinating building or operational services in a customer-focused environment. You will have experience supervising staff or volunteers and be confident managing multiple priorities in a busy setting.

You will bring a strong understanding of building operations, space management and health and safety expectations within a large, multi-use environment. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential, as the role works across a wide range of teams and stakeholders.

The Role

This Administrator role is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to play a central role in supporting the running of one of the UK’s most prestigious international scholarship programmes. The Administrator will help provide an excellent experience for applicants, Scholars, alumni, Trustees and partner institutions.

The Administrator role with support on the full scholarship cycle which includes providing high quality administrative support to the Director, Scholars and other stakeholders. The Administrator will support on keeping accurate financial and data records, governance, communications, event planning and alumni engagement activities as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Scholarship Administration and Selection

Administer the scholarship application process and selection cycle, including its promotion, application timelines and manage applicant enquiries. Respond promptly and professionally to applicant enquiries via email, phone and online channels.

Prepare longlists and shortlists in consultation with the Director. Provide administrative support to the selection panels, including scheduling scholar interviews and preparing interview packs, briefing papers and secure document folders for panel members.

Work with the Director to communicate selection outcomes professionally and sensitively to applicants.

Support safeguarding, compliance and due diligence processes relating to applicants and Scholars. Maintain accurate records of applicant demographics, progress, decisions and feedback.

2. Scholar Support and Engagement

Arrange onboarding for new Scholars, including orientation materials, pre departure meetings, events and information sessions. Maintain FAQs and administrative briefings.

Maintain up-to-date Scholar profiles, biographies and photos for the Trust’s website, social media and publications.

Facilitate community‑building among current Scholars through sharing news, arranging check‑ins, online meet‑ups and occasional social or academic gatherings.

Contribute to the Trust’s pastoral and administrative support of Scholars throughout their studies in the US. Monitor Scholar engagement, academic progress and wellbeing, escalating concerns where appropriate.

3. Financial Administration and Reporting

Prepare documentation for tuition payments, stipends and approved expenses; maintain timely and accurate payment schedules.

Provide administrative support to the Director regarding statutory reporting including the Annual Report and Charity Commission returns

4. Communications, Outreach and Marketing

Draft, edit and publish web content, including scholarship information, news updates, Scholar profiles and stories and application guidance. Maintain FAQ pages and ensure accurate, clear and up to date information for applicants.

Support digital communications, including social media posts, email campaigns and website announcements to highlight Scholar achievements and alumni successes. Maintain a database or scholar profiles which are published on the website.

Represent the Trust at events such as graduate fairs, widening participation meetings and university visits.

Maintain a database of UK Universities and partner organisations who support the Trust to reach the widest possible audience for promoting the scholarship. Build relationships with UK universities, careers teams and relevant networks to promote the scholarship.

5. Governance and Committee Support

You will work with the Director to provide the scheduling, servicing and administration of Trustee meetings, scholarship panels and standing committees, including the preparation of meeting agendas, briefing materials, papers and securely held meeting papers.

Draft accurate minutes of meetings and keep track of deadlines of actions.

Maintain governance records, committee membership lists and document archives. Support working groups and sub committees, including document preparation and follow up tasks.

Support the Director with the ongoing review and development of policies and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose.

6. Executive admin and other functions

You will work with the Director on executive and administrative support, including diary management, correspondence, travel and expenses

Undertake other reasonable duties in support of the Trust’s work

Maintain accurate records in all internal systems, ensuring high data quality standards.

Cerebral Palsy Sport (CP Sport) is recruiting three Regional Programme Delivery Officers to support the delivery of the “Together We Can” Young Ambassador Programme across England.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with young people with cerebral palsy (CP), supporting them to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and lead social action within their communities.

These roles will be central to delivering a national programme across eight regional hubs, working closely with young people, partners, and communities to create meaningful and lasting impact.

The Social Support service delivers flexible and person-centred support across our Wellbeing Centres in St Albans, Hatfield, and Stevenage. The service is designed to respond to the individual needs of clients, supporting people to improve their wellbeing, build confidence, reduce feelings of isolation, and access community services and resources.

About the Role

The role involves managing a one-to-one client caseload while contributing to the delivery of Social Support Groups. Through personalised support, the post holder will offer emotional support and empower individuals to focus on what matters most to them, working towards meaningful and achievable changes in in their lives.

The Social Support service provides tailored, personalised support based on each individual needs.  This includes using a range of tools and techniques to help people improve areas of their life they may be struggling with.  Grounded in the values of Hope, Courage, Togetherness and Responsiveness, the service aims to empower individuals on their journey towards improved wellbeing.

As a Peer Support Worker you will:

• Offer 1-1 support in St Albans, Hatfield and Stevenage, and within other HMN Wellbeing Centres across the County depending on client need and waiting lists
• Deliver Social Support Groups within our Wellbeing Centres
• Work with clients to identify their individual needs and support them through a personalised, person-centred approach
• Support clients in a variety of settings, including within the community, their home, and our Wellbeing Centres
• Play an integral role in embedding HMN’s values through our 1-1 and group support
• Play a key part in the development and delivery of our groups
• Ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality, responsive service that promotes wellbeing and positive outcomes for clients

The successful candidate will have significant proven knowledge of models and services to meet the needs of adults with mental health needs and of delivering mental health services within a health and social care setting as well as an understanding of the relationship between mental health and social issues and how these issues may impact on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

Location: Liberation centre Brixton, London (New office in Brixton)/ Remote working within the UK with at least 2 days’ work from our office (Pro rata for part time)

The Advocacy Academy is an activist youth movement. We serve as the political home for grassroots youth organising and the catalyst for collective action. The lives of the young people we work alongside have been directly shaped by living in an unjust world, and we exist to turn their anger into action and change.

Young people are often the catalysts for major social change, from the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, to the Soweto Uprising mobilising young people to resist the apartheid regime's education policies, to the Sunrise Movement redrawing the electoral map across America, and more recently protests across the world protesting the genocide in Palestine. ABOUT THE ROLE

In a context of the rise of the far right, increasing inequality, and climate disaster, The Advocacy Academy is growing to meet this moment. As part of this, we are expanding our Organising and Campaigns Team, including recruiting an experienced Digital Organiser.

This person will lead the design and implementation of an ambitious digital organising approach, including building out our base online and supporting campaigns to amplify our message and deliver the tangible wins we are pushing for. The work will be supported by up to five of our ‘changemakers’ - young people who will be paid to support our digital organising alongside their other work or study.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Oversee and deliver a Digital Organising Strategy within TAA, including but not limited to:

• Working with the SLT to set the strategic objectives and direction of your area of responsibility in relation to the broader growth of the organisation, ensuring appropriate resources, KPIs and relevant tools are in place to assess progress and make judgements on priorities. 
• Taking the lead on decision-making and problem-solving for all considerations relating to the area of responsibility, working with your department director and SLT around overlapping projects.
• Understanding the impact of socio-economic and sector specific changes that could impact the department, including wider trends around digital organising and campaigns.
• Supporting the department director with the management and mitigation of organisational risks by escalating issues within your department in a timely manner and supporting them with problem solving.

2. Lead on TAA’s digital organising approach, implementing online strategies as part of our campaigns, growing our membership, supporting our fundraising and building the systems needed to support these initiatives, including but not limited to:

• Leading the development and implementation of digital organising strategies as part of our youth-led organising campaigns, and support members and wider supporters to take action to deliver material change on issues that matter to our membership.
• Leading the development and implementation of digital strategies to deliver membership growth, working alongside colleagues to track and achieve key target numbers. 
• Leading the development and implementation of online member journeys, from initial touch points with TAA through to leaders of our youth movement.
• Ensuring the right digital platforms and technology (including website, WhatsApp, CRM, email, social media) are used to facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of key objectives
• Supporting the crafting and implementation of campaign messaging and content to support our campaign aims.
• Supporting the Development Team to create and implement key digital mechanisms to fundraise, including with individual donors, HNWIs, corporate donors and international funders).

3. Lead on TAA’s communications, storytelling and engagement work, ensuring we have a clear, consistent and effective narrative that reaches people, including but not limited to:

• Leading the strategic direction of TAA’s storytelling work, ensuring narrative change is embedded across the programme and rooted in the lived experience, values, and leadership of our communities.
• Coordinating the distributed communications efforts by different teams, ensuring consistent, high-quality outputs across all channels.
• Overseeing the development and delivery of multimedia content that shifts public understanding and showcases the impact of youth organising.
• Providing editorial oversight and creative leadership to ensure our digital storytelling is coherent, compelling, values-aligned, and responsive to the external environment.
• Supporting and advise the senior leadership team on narrative risks, opportunities, and emerging digital trends relevant to our movement goals.

4. Support our members to learn and grow as digital organisers in their own right, including but not limited to:

• Proactively build relationships with our members and grow our membership, through holding regular 1:1s and relational meetings that strengthen campaigns but more importantly help them to identify and act on their developing political interests and to plug them into relevant opportunities for growth at TAA and our wider networks.
• Hold a list of members that you are the relationship lead for, developing and delivering a live learning plan with many of them, supporting them to become powerful organisers.
• Work closely with the Programmes and Community teams to set trajectories and expectations for a young person’s campaigning and organising journey, their starting point coming into TAA, and the training and support they need.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings, holding space effectively and designing and delivering creative learning journeys for young people.

5. Be a key member of the Organising and Campaigns Team, including but not limited to:

• Support efforts to set the strategic direction and priorities for the Organising and Campaigns Team each financial year.
• Proactively develop an interest in the impact of political, socio-economic and sector specific changes that could impact the HOST Programme, department and TAA in general.
• Support the Director of Organising and Campaigns and Head of Organising and Campaigns with the management and mitigation of organisational risks presented by the Programme by escalating issues in a timely manner and supporting them with problem solving.
• Support colleagues in the Organising and Campaigns team to run events, training programmes and other key activities to deliver on departmental aims.

6. Culture, values and wider strategy and mission. Hold senior accountability for driving the achievement of our strategic objectives by embedding our vision, mission, strategy, ideology and cultural values across your area and the wider organisation. Play a central role in shaping organisational direction and leading cross-departmental priorities and initiatives, including but not limited to:

• Embodying and championing our commitment to social and economic justice, ensuring this is consistently reflected in organisational strategy, decision-making, delivery and partnerships
• Acting as a champion of organisational culture and values, setting the standard across teams and holding others to account in upholding these in practice
• Leading on identifying and driving opportunities that strengthen organisational impact, working closely with senior leadership, including the Director of Finance, HR and Ops, and contributing to high-level strategic direction

7. Governance and Compliance

• Provide strategic leadership on governance and risk management within your portfolio, working in close partnership with the Finance, HR and Operations team.
• Lead and hold accountability for risk identification, analysis and mitigation, ensuring risks to strategic objectives are anticipated, escalated and managed effectively
• Maintain oversight of risk across your area, ensuring robust systems, controls and practices are in place and consistently applied
• Ensure strong organisational compliance with TAA policies and practices, taking responsibility for their effective implementation, continuous improvement and alignment with wider organisational standards
• You will support Programmes and Community Departments by ensuring that the operations, structures, processes, and practices align with and support TAA's campaigning and organising goals, activating new allies' goals, and community goals

IDEAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE  

• At least 2 years of experience in digital organising and campaigning on issues of social justice and
• At least 2 years of experience in direct content creation
• Strong written, verbal and visual (graphic, video or other) communication skills
• Experience working with different audiences or types of stakeholders 
• Project management and experience working collaboratively across teams both in person and online
• Excellent organisational skills with confidence managing multiple tasks at the same time/ balancing multiple priorities to meet deadlines
• Experience with our existing systems e.g., Gmail/ Google Docs/ Google Sheets/ Canva
• Confidence working in a fast-paced environment

As part of this, we are expanding our Organising and Campaigns Team, looking to recruit two senior and experienced organisers and campaigners who are able to build the leadership of young people to enable them to turn the resources they have into the power they need to make the change they want. We have raised the funds needed to resource this growth and know what needs to be done. There are three key areas of responsibility:

1. Oversee and deliver TAA’s member-led organising campaigns
2. Play a lead role in delivering our Coalition Campaigns
3. Oversee our HOST programme, our in-house campaign accelerator and fiscal hosting programme

But there are several ways we could divide up the work into people’s roles. So, instead of splitting this up in advance ofapplications, we are asking candidates to apply first, and then dividing up the responsibilities into two coherent roles based on the best candidates that apply.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The following responsibility areas will be divided between the two roles based on candidates’ strengths. 

1. Oversee and deliver TAA’s member-led organising campaigns

• Support members to develop and select key campaigns to prioritise on the basis of:
  • People: What our young people want and need to learn to support their growth as organisers and leaders in their own right.
  • Power: How we want and need to build power together
  • Change: Where there is an opportunity to win material change on the important issues of the day that directly affect our young people and others.
• Once campaigns are selected, you will support members to design clear-sighted campaign strategies to achieve objectives under the three categories above.
• You will then support members to deliver on these strategies, with the necessary campaign infrastructure to ensure it succeeds, including meetings, briefings, comms outputs, creative public action, aligning with allies, and negotiating with key targets.

2. Play a lead role in delivering our Coalition Campaigns, including but not limited to our Climate Coalition (Roots to Rise) and Gender Coalition (name tbc):

• Work closely with the Programme’s Team to develop and deliver organising and campaign training for key partner organisations, helping them to embed organising practices into their work, and support their young people to be organisers in their own right.
• Support the Programme’s Team and partners to develop and select key campaigns to prioritise on the basis of:
  • People: What our young people want and need to learn to support their growth as organisers and leaders in their own right.
  • Power: How we want and need to build power together
  • Change: Where there is an opportunity to win material change on the important issues of the day that directly affect our young people and others.
• Once campaigns are selected, you will support partners and members to design clear-sighted campaign strategies to achieve objectives under the three categories above.
• You will then support members to deliver on these strategies, with the necessary campaign infrastructure to ensure it succeeds, including meetings, briefings, comms outputs, creative public action, aligning with allies, and negotiating with key targets.

3. Oversee our HOST programme, including but not limited:

• Work with the Director of Oraginising and Campaigns to set the strategic direction and priorities for the HOST Programme.
• Proactively build relationships with our HOSTed groups and coach them to develop their leadership. This involved holding regular 1:1s and relational meetings that strengthen our connection and help them to identifyand act on their developing political interests and to plug them into relevant opportunities for growth at TAA and our wider networks.
• Identify opportunities to improve our offer to HOSTed groups and support them to tackle challenges they face. This includes developing a clear understanding of their aims and needs, and how their and our resources can be used creatively to help deliver these effectively.
• Oversee the Lead Campaign Organiser’s efforts to ensure our HOST Programme runs like a well-oiled machine by pulling in the right people at the right time to ensure key milestones are met.
• Oversee the budget for the HOST Programme, ensuring that all activities are run within financial targets, working with the Programmes leadership team to identify efficiencies and savings, checking in regularly with the Head of Organising and Campaigns and relevant senior colleagues to escalate any risks or opportunities that might arise.

This is an exciting senior position for an exceptional digital communications manager who wants to work for a high-impact campaigning NGO. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and grow the digital channels of one of the UK’s leading rights NGOs. Big Brother Watch is a leading voice in the UK protecting privacy and free speech, and has a strong track record of successful campaigns that defend civil liberties in the UK. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Director and Head of Advocacy to build campaigns that respond to pressing threats to our freedoms. You’ll devise strategies to run successful digital campaigns including mass mobilisation; you’ll curate the supporter journey for our network of 100,000 email subscribers; you’ll manage and produce highly engaging content including long and short form videos and graphics for our social media channels; and you’ll lead our digital fundraising.

About you

The right candidate will have strong experience in a similar role and a proven track record in social media management, content/video production and digital fundraising.

You’ll have experience working across a range of digital channels, including social media and video, website CMS, and email marketing platforms such as MailChimp. Job Purpose

The Director of Fundraising & Partnerships is accountable for leading the vision, strategy and performance of Habitat GB’s fundraising, partnerships, engagement and resource mobilisation activity.

This role combines senior‑level engagement and income generation leadership with organisational and strategic responsibility. The postholder will design and deliver ambitious, sustainable income and partnership strategies; strengthen Habitat GB’s profile and positioning; and lead a high‑performing, values‑led team.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Fundraising & Partnerships plays a key role in organisational leadership, transformation, and long‑term sustainability, working collaboratively across Habitat GB, the international Habitat network and with a wide range of external partners. This role has 4 direct reports, and an overall team of 10.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Strategic Fundraising, Partnerships & Engagement

• Design, deliver and adapt an integrated multi‑year fundraising and partnerships strategy, setting ambitious and achievable targets that increase income, engagement and impact.
• Lead the organisation’s approach to partnerships, philanthropy, fundraising and resource mobilisation across all non-institutional income streams, including:
  • Trusts and foundations (UK and international)
  • Corporate partnerships and strategic alliances
  • High‑net‑worth individuals and philanthropic supporters
  • Blended funding, including institutional and investment‑linked income where appropriate
• Shape and deliver Habitat GB’s positioning as a credible, innovative and impactful development and housing partner.

•  Lead and model relationship-based development with priority prospects, partners and influencers.
• Act as senior relationship lead for key high value corporate partners, donors and funders, ensuring excellent stewardship and long‑term engagement.
• Support and enhance relationship building with High‑Net‑Worth Individuals, Trusts and Foundations.
