About the role
The Outreach service supports individuals with long‑term or complex needs to live safely and independently within the community. As the Outreach Team Manager, you’ll guide the team’s day‑to‑day operations, oversee casework, strengthen partnerships, and champion continuous improvement.You’ll work closely with partner agencies, internal colleagues and community organisations to make sure customers get the right support at the right time.  

This is a meaningful, people‑focused role where you’ll directly shape how support is delivered and see the impact of your work every day.

About the role:

ILPA is a charity and professional membership body working to improve immigration, asylum and nationality law. Our training programme is a core part of our work and one of our largest income streams. We deliver over 60 courses and conferences a year to an average of 2,000 practitioners across the UK, supporting lawyers, caseworkers, advisers and organisations working with migrants. 

The Training Manager will not directly teach any training content but will run this programme end to end, ensuring all trainings and events are delivered professionally, to a high standard. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills, confidence with digital platforms and the ability to work with experienced external tutors. The post holder will shape the training calendar with support from the Training Advisory Board and maintain ILPA’s reputation for high-quality, practitioner-led training. 

Key Responsibilities 

Programme planning and development 

• Build and manage the annual and quarterly training schedule with a balance of advanced and introductory content across immigration, asylum and nationality law 

• Facilitate and support the Training Advisory Board to identify priorities and emerging issues 

• Respond to changes in immigration law with short notice trainings where appropriate

Tutor and content management 

• Contact, contract and manage ILPA’s panel of external tutors 

• Work closely with tutors on the overall planning and delivery, providing admin support in the production of accurate, up-to-date course materials 

Event delivery 

• Set up all events on Eventbrite, including pricing, discounts, communications and refunds 

• Host online events and support hybrid delivery of trainings and conferences when required, troubleshooting technical issues on the day 

Income, reporting and evaluation 

• Monitor and report on bookings, attendance, cancellations and income 

• Monitor participant satisfaction and take action where improvements are needed 

Marketing and engagement 

• Market events through ILPA’s weekly all-member update and other communication channels to reach beyond our membership

The Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) is a charity and a professional association the majority of whose members are barristers, solicitors, advocates and IAA (previously OISC) regulated advisers practising in all aspects of immigration, asylum and nationality law. You will be the first point of contact for many teacher and safeguarding-related issues, handling routine and moderately complex situations independently. About the Role

The Impact and Participation Lead is part of the Experience and Learning team, leading the development of how we measure, understand and use impact across our programmes.

You’ll work closely with delivery teams, partners and communities to embed reflective practice and ensure that learning is built into everything we do. This includes designing approaches to capture both data and lived experience — turning these into clear, useful insight that informs decisions and strengthens our work.

A core part of the role is ensuring that children and community voices are genuinely heard and shape programmes in meaningful ways. You’ll support teams to move beyond consultation, building confident, inclusive approaches to co-design and participation.

This is a role that balances big-picture thinking with practical implementation — creating frameworks, tools and ways of working that are simple, useful and embedded across a growing, multi-site programme.
