At Cure Parkinson’s we have a simple and powerful mission. We want to find a cure. We have a clear plan to get there. We’re working urgently but it will take some time, and we need the right help.
The Challenge Events Manager role sits within the charity’s Public Fundraising team, which as well as Challenge Events, also includes Community Fundraising, Special Events, Individual Giving, Legacies and In-Memory Fundraising.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in Cure Parkinson’s continued ambitious growth. Joining us at an exciting time for the charity, you would be part of a small but dynamic team with the opportunity to develop and make your own mark.
You’ll be responsible for creating opportunities for our amazing supporters to fundraise for our work through a range of third party and owned challenge events and provide outstanding supporter care to help them do that. You'll get to lead on exciting, bucket-list events such as the London Marathon and the Great North Run and build on the success of our established third-party events portfolio, while identifying opportunities to expand our events and grow participation.
You will strengthen supporter engagement and develop a high-performing fundraising program. You'll oversee event budgets and project plans, use data and insight to inform decisions, and lead digital marketing approaches that drive participant numbers and income. You'll also manage a Fundraising and Events Assistant and support them to deliver exceptional stewardship to all challenge events participants.
This is a brilliant role for someone who is incredibly organised with meticulous attention to detail, and who also loves building relationships and making people feel great.
Ultimately, you will be contributing towards changing the future for people living with Parkinson’s across the world. If this excites you, we would love to hear from you.
Everything we do is to move us closer to our goal, of finding new treatments to slow, stop or reverse the progression of Parkinson’s.
