The Trainee Urban Forest Coordinator will support the Urban Forest team deliver planting projects and tree establishment/maintenance activities.
The traineeship will include:
- Learning on the job key skills such as tree planting & maintenance best practice, storing & handling trees, using & maintaining tools and leading volunteers
- Supporting the efficient and high-quality delivery of Trees for Cities’ Urban Forest projects
- Supporting the Urban Forest team to deliver projects using contractors, volunteers and in-house staff to carry out the planting, maintenance and habitat management of a range of urban tree planting projects
- Supporting Trees for Cities’ maintenance programme, ensuring successful establishment of our tree stock and carrying out regular health checks

The Community Fundraiser role is responsible for establishing and developing community fundraising systems and activities. This is BHA's first dedicated fundraising position, offering a unique opportunity to build sustainable income streams whilst building trusted relationships with Ethnic Minorities communities in and around Manchester, and others interested in supporting our cause. You will plan and deliver culturally appropriate fundraising events, develop digital fundraising campaigns, establish donor databases and create fundraising systems that align with our values and mission. The successful applicant should bring proven experience in community fundraising with our target audience.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate success in generating income through community engagement, has experience planning and delivering fundraising events, and understands the principles of community-centric fundraising.You will be comfortable establishing systems and processes as needed, working independently whilst collaborating across teams. Cultural competency and sensitivity when working with diverse communities is essential, along with the ability to build trust and rapport with different community groups. Strong communication skills, attention to detail regarding compliance and data protection, and creative problem-solving abilities will be crucial to your success in this role.The post holder will have the following essential criteria:
- Experience in successfully generating income through community fundraising activities
- Demonstrable experience working and building relationships with marginalised communities, particularly LGBTQ+ and/or Ethnic Minorities communities
- Experience planning and delivering fundraising events
- Experience establishing or developing fundraising systems and processes
- Understanding of the challenges and opportunities in fundraising within diverse communities
- Prepared to abide by the values and ethos of BHA For Equality
- Prepared to regularly work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends for community events

The Supporter Care Coordinator is responsible for working across the fundraising and marketing directorate to support the Supporter Experience team in delivering all aspects of supporter engagement, stewardship and fundraising compliance, by delivering excellent customer service and being a first point of contact for fundraising enquiries for London’s Air Ambulance Charity. In addition to this, the Supporter Care Coordinator will assist in the fulfilment of multi-channel fundraising and stewardship campaigns, including the promotion of legacies both internally and externally.

This role will lead and coordinate Women in Prisons’ external communications, platforming the voice of women with lived experience of the criminal justice system to raise the organisation’s public profile and awareness of the criminalisation of women.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Lead and develop comprehensive communications strategies to raise WIP’s profile for influencing, fundraising and impact and that align with our vision and mission.
- Build public engagement and awareness, leading on campaign development and delivery
- Oversee the production of Women in Prison’s publications.
- Platform the voice of women with lived experience of the criminal justice system in all external communications.
- Manage WIP’s Spokesperson network
- Develop, build and contribute to high quality and authentic partnerships and relationships with stakeholders including journalists.
- To be a member of the extended leadership of Women in Prison, modelling feminist leadership, anti-oppression and empowering, values-led, collective leadership for the organisation.
