KSS Provider Collaborative provides inpatient secure services to adults across the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex area, including women detained under the Mental Health Act.  In partnership with The Women’s Support Centre Surrey, Brighton Women’s Centre (BWC) have been commissioned to deliver 1:1 wellbeing support and group activities to women based in forensic units.  

The goal is to co-design and deliver weekly group activities aimed at improving well-being, confidence and support. The Women’s Enhancement Worker will also be responsible for a small caseload of women, providing 1-1 support around transitions into the next appropriate setting, which could mean another hospital, supported accommodation or independent living.

Working with a women-centred, trauma-informed, holistic approach, you will create safe, non-judgmental spaces in which to co-produce support across a range of pathway needs, including recognising domestic abuse and understanding healthy relationships, parenting and families, physical and mental health services.

The Women’s Enhancement Worker will be informed by BWC’s values, policies and procedures and will understand the importance of building trust and self-esteem with service users while working collaboratively with key staff and agencies.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in growing a major donor programme that directly supports life-changing eye care services in the Holy Land. You will work closely with the Executive Director, UK (EDUK) and senior leadership, including the CEO and Trustees, to contribute to the long-term sustainability of a respected and impactful international charity.

The New Business Assistant (Corporate Partnerships) will play a key part in the development and conversion of new, high-quality corporate partnerships and provide administrative and coordination support to the Corporate Partnerships team. The postholder will support the delivery of the Corporate Partnerships strategy, taking a lead on the administration of unsolicited income. This role will contribute to the Corporate Partnerships team accountabilities:

Celebrity Campaigns Officer

Position Objective:

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Secure high-profile support for the organisation by identifying, engaging, cultivating, and maintaining strong relationships with athletes, celebrities, content creators, and other public figures

• Coordinate celebrity and influencer-led projects, including undertaking research, writing letters and scripts, and organising events, photo shoots, and audio and video projects

• Develop creative concepts and talent-driven activations that engage audiences and advance PETA’s campaigns

• Partner with content creators to produce content aligned with PETA’s campaigns

What the job involves
This is a brilliant opportunity to lead our Data and Evidence Team on an interim basis while the postholder is on parental leave. You’ll help us understand and use the evidence that shapes our work, from clinical and real-world data to screening, Black health equity and wider health improvement priorities.

This is a newly redesigned role created following a review of Robin Cancer Trust's support services. 

The Community & Support Lead will play a key role in ensuring that people affected by testicular and ovarian germ cell cancers can access compassionate support, trusted information, meaningful connections and opportunities to shape our future work.

You will work directly with LGBT victims/survivors, offering them a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related experiences of sexual violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.
 
You will sit alongside our other advocates supporting LGBT people facing abuse or violence. You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT people facing abuse and violence.

The Theatre Technician plays a vital operational role within our busy 1,250-seat theatre and additional rehearsal and event spaces. Supporting the technical leadership team, you will deliver exceptional hands-on technical support across stagecraft, lighting, sound and rigging systems to realise the creative ambitions of visiting companies and in-house productions.

As Financial Planning and Analysis Manager you will be responsible for leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and business partnering activities across all legal entities.

CONTEXT

An estimated 12,000 men are raped every year and 76,000 sexually abused or assaulted. Yet just 4% of men will tell someone. Of those who do, it takes on average 26 years to do so.

Survivors UK provides specialist support to (cis and trans*) men and boys, and to non-binary people, who have been raped, sexually assaulted or abused. Our aim is to help any man, boy, or non-binary person, to have the confidence to tell someone what’s happened to them, and to know that it’s OK to seek help. When they do, we want to ensure they have access to the right support so they can deal with the impact of their experiences.

We provide emotional support, information and signposting to survivors and anyone worried about someone they know, through a national website and webchat service (open till 8pm most evenings). Last year, 2,600 people contacted us via our webchat services and social media.

In London, we are the only organisation providing specialist services for men and boys, including individual counselling and therapeutic groupwork, available till 9pm six days a week. Across London, we provide the capital’s only Independent Sexual Advisor (ISVA) Service that helps men and boys through the criminal justice system.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting role at Survivors UK which combines counselling and practical support, specifically to the (circa) 150 people who refer themselves for individual counselling with us each year. You will work specifically with young people aged 13+ and people from Black, Asian and Multi-Heritage communities who have experienced sexual violence.

The people served include those with clinical mental health diagnoses, drug and alcohol dependencies, at risk of suicide, homelessness or involved in the sex industry. You will need to be a highly skilled counsellor with experience of dealing with very vulnerable clients, willing to work flexibly and on your own initiative. Importantly, you will be a compassionate person, able to blend therapeutic work with practical support and care.

Main responsibilities include:

• Provide counselling and practical support interventions to boys, men, trans people and non-binary people from the BAM community who have been raped, sexually abused or assaulted with high levels of need and who are most vulnerable.
• Deliver counselling interventions by phone, video calling and face-to-face with clients 13+ years old.
• With clients, develop action plans to help them address emotional and practical needs and ensure clients can engage with a flexible service.
• An ability, interest and commitment to working and developing a therapeutic approach that is culturally attuned to Black, Asian and Multi and Dual Heritage clients.
• Maintain accurate and timely client case notes, ensuring adherence to confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection procedures.
• Support the monitoring and reporting to funders on the development and delivery of the service.

PURPOSE

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Service Delivery

• Where appropriate, and within safeguarding and data protection policies, collate qualitative client stories for reporting back to funders, evidencing need and service user opinion.
• Ensure all clients are aware of and have access to the organisation’s complaints policy.

1. General Duties

• Be responsible for administrative functions associated with the role, including accurate record keeping and filing.
• Provide input and comment on the development of Survivors UK policies and procedures and ensure you follow established procedures.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience and qualifications

• A BACP, UKCP or BABCP accredited counsellor, psychotherapist or CBT practitioner.
• Completed at least 3 parts of EMDR training. Potential for completion of the training to be offered with the role
• At least 2-years’ experience of working with highly vulnerable clients in a counselling and/or support service.
• Knowledge of trauma informed practice
• Demonstrable caseload management, with experience of undertaking initial counselling assessments.
• Experience of using creative approaches such as art, drama or play when working therapeutically with children and young people.
• Proven track record in helping clients who are experiencing high levels of distress and/or chaotic lifestyles, to improve their health and wellbeing.
• Efficient and accurate use of outcomes monitoring frameworks, such as CORE, Outcomes Star, or similar
