What you’ll be doing

• Process daily donations received online, by post or via third-party platforms.
• Complete batch entry, reconciliation and validation reports.
• Generate and issue acknowledgements, receipts and invoices.
• Maintain and update Gift Aid declarations; support quarterly Gift Aid claims.
• Keep donor records accurate and consistent in Raiser’s Edge.
• Perform routine data cleaning and validation tasks.
• Reconcile donation income with Finance and ensure direct debits are processed correctly.
• Follow GDPR, fundraising compliance and internal policies at all times.

What we’re looking for

• Strong, recent experience using Raiser’s Edge for data entry, donation processing or CRM administration.
• Proven experience in donation or income processing.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Confident IT skills, including intermediate Excel.

Examinations Coordinator – Temporary Contract

Are you a highly organised, systems-savvy professional with experience in project delivery and operations? We’re supporting a professional membership organisation to recruit a temporary Examinations Coordinator to join their team. This is a hands-on role combining operational delivery, systems development, stakeholder management, and line management of a small team.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate the delivery of cyclical professional examinations, occurring several times per year.
• Provide line management and development support for two team members.
• Lead on system improvements and management, including booking systems, CRM platforms, and workflow tools.
• Support strategic delivery, budgeting, and planning for examinations.
• Manage candidates requiring adjustments and coordinate assessment boards.
• Undertake audits, investigations, and data analysis projects to improve team processes.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced, people-oriented project manager who is excited to help us deliver and scale innovative data programmes. You will work directly with organisations from across the third sector to understand their missions and translate their challenges into well-scoped projects. You will also support teams of volunteer data experts to scope projects and deliver impactful data science solutions.

You don't need to write code or run analysis yourself, but you should be comfortable working alongside technical experts, asking the right questions to scope data projects, and translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll need to hold conversations with data scientists about what's feasible, help charity partners understand what's possible with their data, and know when to bring in additional technical expertise.

If you don’t have all the experience and skills listed below, please still consider applying. We don’t expect a candidate to have 100% of these, but we do want to know that you have relevant experience and an appetite to learn in other areas.

Essential skills and experience

• Project management: You are a skilled project manager, successfully leading projects involving multiple stakeholders from conception to completion. You have experience managing multiple projects at once and can successfully prioritise and juggle competing demands. You can plan ahead, allocate resources, identify and mitigate risks, and bring in additional expertise as required.
• Scoping and needs assessment: You have experience collaborating with clients/stakeholders to assess their challenges, translate them into project plans, evaluate their feasibility, and create delivery plans.
• Volunteer and/or people management: Experience recruiting, training, coordinating, or managing volunteers or managing people over whom you do not have direct authority (eg. contractors/freelancers). Comfortable leading multi-skilled teams in a remote-first environment, fostering collaboration within newly established groups.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong active listening skills. You have experience being the main liaison for a project or programme, providing regular updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’re not afraid to ask clarifying questions in areas that are new to you. You are skilled at distilling the key insights or next steps in project meetings to ensure clarity on the big picture and details.

Desirable

• Experience managing or delivering data-related or social tech projects.
• Experience volunteering or working with volunteers.
• Familiarity with CRMs and/or project management software.
• Experience working or volunteering in the UK nonprofit/charity sector.
• Knowledge of the UK nonprofit/charity landscape and common digital, data, or tech challenges facing third sector organisations.

Working hours and location 

This is a full-time role (35 hours per week); however we will consider part-time options (28 or 32 hours per week) for a strong candidate. Working hours are flexible, but we ask that 75% of working time is within the hours of 10am and 6pm, to facilitate team working and real-time collaboration.

The role requires regular out-of-hours commitments - roughly one weekend per quarter and 2-4 evenings per month for volunteer events. This work is part of, rather than additional to, your hours, and you must take time off in lieu for any extra working hours.

Our organisation is remote-first, and this role is hybrid, with access to London office space on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and quarterly in-person commitments in London. We have a preference for candidates able to work from our office space in London at least one day per week. There may be occasional national travel within the UK for other events and conferences, with reasonable expenses covered.

The organisation is a leading charity working with refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. The post holder is responsible for leading individual giving and engagement programmes through direct marketing and supporter care. What you'll do:

• Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
• Carrying out holistic assessments of new customers which incorporate relevant statutory referral information
• Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
• Create support plans for providing appropriate services based on on-going assessment and reflecting the services and resources available to enable customer to progress in their recovery
• Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking

Start Network has an exciting opportunity for a Partnerships Engagement Officer to join our growing Resource Mobilisation team. The role supports donor engagement and income growth, working with trusts, foundations and corporate funders to build strong, long term relationships through high quality stewardship, communications and engagement.

You will support the management of existing and new donor relationships, contribute to proposals and reporting, research and cultivate new funding opportunities, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver clear and compelling donor communications. The role also leads on the coordination of Start Network’s annual donor visit, taking the full range of our donors to a priority Start Network country of operation to see our work in action.

You will have outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills and have the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with younger and older people. You understand why safeguarding is critical to our participants and seek to create safe, engaging spaces for people to learn together.

Ideally you have experience of managing intergenerational or multi-generational projects, however if you don't have intergenerational experience then strong experience of working with older people and young people/children separately is required.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:

Lead facilitation of intergenerational sessions

Taking responsibility for the high-quality delivery of the session, leading activities from the front, delegating tasks to and managing a supporting volunteer if appropriate. The lead facilitator will endeavor to involve everyone present in the session, be responsible for ensuring that InCommon’s safeguarding procedures are followed and that any incidents are handled appropriately. 

Building and maintaining strong relationships with people of all ages 

Using your excellent communication skills you’ll build strong relationships with everyone taking part in an InCommon programme, from children and older people to primary school teachers and staff working at retirement homes. This role may involve communication before and after the session with parties taking part; where this is the case it will be clearly communicated by the Senior Programme Manager. 

A lead facilitator should be someone who can

• Engage a roomful of people over fun, creative and conversation-based activities

• Is reliable, trustworthy and can commit to monthly term-time sessions

• Is sensitive to the needs of young people and older adults, understanding the variety of needs they may have

You will be contracted on a rolling contract to deliver ‘blocks’ of intergenerational workshops. These may take place over variable locations across London and indicatively will be in held on the same days each month. We arrange the sessions and take care of all the marketing, driving engagement and managing bookings for you.
