Role Summary:

The Communications Executive will work closely with the Head of Communications and Advocacy to implement our communications and media strategy, contributing to organisational, engagement, and brand awareness goals.

You will manage digital channel growth, content calendars, and deliver social media plans to enhance our digital presence and position as experts in global health, social justice and gender equality.

You will create engaging content and ideas for data promotion and brand awareness campaigns, and support the press office function with media engagement throughout the year. 

Skills & Experience:

Essential (1-3 years) experience:

• as a communications professional – you have a motivational, engaging style and can draw out information and ideas from others. 
• in SEO implementation: Conduct keyword research to guide content creation, optimise website and article content for search engines, and monitor, analyse, and report on website SEO performance. 
• in social media channel and content management, growing audiences, increasing visibility and engagement. 
• in email marketing: Design and execute email marketing campaigns to engage Global Health 50/50’s audience, drive traffic to the website, and promote events or publications. Segment email lists and personalise content to increase effectiveness. 
• in digital marketing, creating advertising campaigns across digital platforms. 

Desirable experience:

• Experience in the charity/not-for-profit sector with a digital communications background.

No one should feel alone when diagnosed with primary bone cancer. The Bone Cancer Research Trust strives to provide a supportive network for all primary bone cancer patients to limit their feelings of isolation and anxiety. Given the rarity of the disease, patients can often go through their entire treatment and recovery without meeting another patient, so external support is vital.

Over the last 4 years, our Support & Information Service has seen significant growth, and developed to become a leading source of support for patients, family members, siblings and friends of patients.  Our Support & Information team provide enduring support and ensure that this can be accessed at any point in a primary bone cancer journey and by anyone affected.

Our aim is to increase the reach of the service further, ensuring that all patients diagnosed in the UK have the opportunity to access our Support & Information Service.  The Support & Information Officer will play a pivatol role in achieving this through building lasting relationships with both patients and families and healthcare professionals.

They will assist in all aspects of the Bone Cancer Research Trust's Support & Information Service, including the organisation and delivery of  virtual support groups, the administration of the Charity's financial grants, the distribution of information resources and the administration of our digital groups. They will also have the opportunity to lead on the delivery of our regional in-person ‘Get-Togethers’, which bring the primary bone cancer community together to gain peer to peer support.The successful candidate will also play an important role in the continuous development of the Service, ensuring that impact is measured and feedback is acted upon.

About this key role
As a proactive member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will share best practice with other team members in relation to approaches and strategies to support and engage young people and their families to achieve best outcomes, plus work collaboratively to develop plans of support and promote programmes of social education, activities, support, advice, and information, using a range of multi-sensory methods.

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Fundraising & Engagement Team.

Acting as the first point of contact for all Fundraising & Comms enquiries and in line with Mind BLMK’s Fundraising and Communications Strategy, this is a busy role and will require excellent stewardship and donor care skills as well as meticulous organisation and innovative thinking. Key Duties

Our specialist youth support service for young people in Northamptonshire delivers early intervention and structured treatment to young people to build understanding and raise awareness of substance related harm. We recognise the correlation between vaping and young people developing harmful habits and are determined to do something about it. Right now, we’re looking for an energetic and proactive individual to take on this exciting new role that will involve creating a vaping prevention programme. It’s primarily a training/education role, but there’s also a practitioner related aspect to it, with the key stakeholders being schools/colleges/education providers. We’ll rely on you to deliver accredited training to education professionals, run interactive workshops with young people, deliver face-to-face and virtual awareness sessions with parents/carers and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the ongoing improvement and success of the programme.

To succeed, you’ll need a professional qualification in health/social/youth and community care, or experience of working in the addictions field, plus a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent. You’ll also need proven experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and working with health professionals, and a track record of engaging effectively with clients. A willingness to work with cognitive behavioural interventions and the Model of Change framework is essential to, as is familiarity with primary, secondary and outreach settings. Flexible in approach, you’re great at writing client records and reports and fulfilling data requirements, have good office IT skills and are as comfortable working independently as you are being part of a team.

What will you be doing?

- Support with personal care

We are currently seeking a Project Support Officer to take responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of youth club activities within the Mid Essex area including Chelmsford, Maldon and across the Dengie peninsular. The role will involve working closely with the Young People Services Manager with the development and delivery of activities in the Mid and North areas of Essex.
