Based at Disability Solutions HQ (North Staffordshire Medical Institute in Hartshill), the successful candidate will have proven successful experience of working in the welfare benefits advice sector and will have an excellent working knowledge and experience of the welfare benefits system. The successful candidate will have a full driving licence and daily use of a car.

Role responsibilities: 

· You will be supporting people with disabilities and their families to claim disability-related welfare benefits.

· Help to challenge unfavourable benefit decisions in preparation for appeals.

· Through your work, identify wider services and signpost / refer people with disabilities to teams and services that can support them.

The successful candidate will have a knowledge of the health and social care/local community landscape and experience of working in the community advice sector, or social prescribing. Role Responsibilities: 

You will be delivering a unique and innovative information and advice-based support and enablement service for people with disabilities who are living complex and challenging lives:

· Helping them to understand and identify the issues that are undermining their quality of life.

· Exploring options for solutions, opportunities, and ways forward with clients and helping them to make choices.

· Supporting clients’ development of action plans.

· Enabling clients to fulfil their action plans and gain the life-toolkit and ability to manage future setbacks and take advantage of new opportunities.

37 hours per week with starting salary of £23,698 with pension contribution and Employee Assistance Programme.

Currently office-based Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 08.30am-4.30pm, with other hours currently home-based (Wed, and Fri).

Together for Mental Wellbeing are looking for an experienced individual who has their own lived experience of mental distress to join the organisations Service User Leadership Team as the Peer Support Practice Lead. 

Together’s core ethos is ‘’service user leadership’’ which means that we value and champion the voice of those with lived experience of mental distress, ensuring that individuals feel empowered through having choice and control.  Peer support is an integral part of our service user leadership ambitions, demonstrated through the development and implementation of our unique Peer Support Framework and training programmes. 

This role will report into the Head of Service User Leadership and will play a key part in enabling Together to implement the unique Peer Support Framework in partnership with operational colleagues, through offering training, guidance, support and mentoring around best practice. 

We are looking for an individual to join the team who has their own lived experience of mental distress, who can demonstrate great leadership skills with a commitment and passion for service user leadership and peer support.  Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have in-depth peer support knowledge and demonstrable training experience, excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels in the organisation, including external agencies and stakeholders, to support the strategic and operational development in these areas. 

This position is 4 days per week (30 hours) and is home based with the expectation of travel into our London office for meetings as and when required.  The role will also include some travel to our services when required.  All travel expenses will be paid.

As a Recovery service facilitator, you’ll be a key point of contact within the Recovery service.
Your responsibilities will focus around designing, delivering, evaluating, reporting and the continuous development of structured learning programmes for people with mental ill health. An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen to join our Aquarius service in Birmingham. The Youth Participation Worker will facilitate and develop a Youth steering group for The Aquarius service in Birmingham, support aftercare for young people leaving treatment, coordinate and facilitate diversionary activities to support young people and their families.

The post holder will develop and support delivery of all Volunteer programmes inclusive of Peer Support and Peer Mentoring Programmes, to include the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers/peer mentors.  They will ensure that general Service User participation and empowerment is implemented across the Service.

In addition, the post holder will:

• Actively recruit volunteers, peer mentors and facilitate Youth Steering group meetings.
• Work with the Senior practitioner & Team leader, to develop and implement a service user involvement strategy, including establishing and supporting a service user board.
• Develop and deliver volunteer, peer mentoring and service user involvement programmes in accordance with the Aquarius organisational framework.
• Support the delivery of aftercare provision.
• Assist colleagues with the coordination and delivery of diversionary activities.

The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health, social care, education, youth provision, and criminal justice.

We are looking for three Complex Needs Practitioners (Recovery Worker) to join our team in Aylesbury.

The purpose of the role is to engage people in a variety of interventions, using a person centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.

All Complex Needs Practitioners (Recovery Worker) work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health and social care. You will join our caring multi-disciplinary teams, to help empower you to provide quality psychosocial interventions to our diverse client groups. 

A core part of the role will be working with people to address holistic support needs across all aspects of the person’s substance use and wellbeing. This could include diverse work related to physical and emotional health, meaningful use of time, family and relationships, community engagement and activites, accommodation, physical and emotional health, offending as well as substance use (drug use and / or alcohol use).

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).  Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for a Practitioner (Criminal Justice Outreach Worker) to join our team in Aylesbury.

Your challenge? To provide advice, assessments, brief and structured interventions and group programmes. As a Practitioner (Criminal Justice Outreach Worker) in this role you will be the initial contact for referrals into the service from the courts and probation for clients who are being considered for a community sentence treatment requirement, conducting initial assessments via telephone, face to face and offering relevant and appropriate advice, harm minimisation, family interventions risk assessment and management, actioning onward referrals to partner agencies. Facilitating comprehensive assessments and interventions for people who are attending court or have recently been released from prison to encourage engagement in services. You will also be required to manage a caseload.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. You will also have the ability to collaborate and work professionally with service users, families and external agencies to provide a service which maximises outcomes for service users. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office.
