About us:
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes.
Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family; including overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much, much more.
It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. Statutory funding makes up 16% of this amount and the rest is raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team supports these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms/bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The hospice is easily accessible from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and North Notts. We have free secure on-site parking for families and staff to use.
The role:
We are seeking a Care Administrator to work alongside our Senior Care Administrator, offering clerical support to our nursing and family support teams. The role involves providing administrative support for our Care Leadership Team, maintaining accurate care records, supporting referral and allocation processes and most importantly being a first point of contact for children and families accessing the hospice.
The requirements:
To fulfil the role effectively you will be an organised and caring person, with excellent attention to detail and able to work flexibly and collaboratively across the care services.
You will ideally have experience of working in an environment with children and families who have complex needs but this is not essential.

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Importing batches of client information into our client management system and ensuring uploads are working correctly. Addressing errors on our client database: merging data where it is held across multiple client records, deleting incorrect enquires and deleting duplicate client records.
- Make outbound calls to clients when required, such as booking home visits, and keeping client records up to date.

Salary: £30,291
Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid
Hours: Full time and permanent. 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

About the role and why we need you
To help start new cancer cures and save lives, we are looking for a Research Funding Administrator to join the busy Research team at Worldwide Cancer Research. As Research Funding Administrator, you will be part of the team running the Charity’s multi-million-pound response-mode funding programme for discovery cancer research. Reporting to the Research Funding Manager, you will assist with the processing of funding applications, their review by external experts and the charity’s Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), and the administration and financial management of the resulting awards.

The role

You will provide administrative support to our Recruitment team and deliver great customer service.
We need someone who is flexible and happy to support the wider People team as required.
You will:
- Manage and respond to emails to the recruitment inbox.
- Sort and distribute the People Teams post at Here East.
- Support hiring managers, applicants, and candidates with recruitment processes.
- Support recruitment administration to the team and line managers, ensuring smooth communication.
- Manage the weekly recruitment panel process, maintain databases and provide regular reporting.
- Assist with DBS applications, Visa, and DBS renewals.
- Support monthly recruitment reporting and statistics.
- Schedule interviews and update roles in our system.

About you
Previous administrative experience is essential, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
You will have:
- Previous administrative work experience in a HR or recruitment team.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.

- Experience using Microsoft Office packages (outlook, excel, word).
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills.

Rugby District Children & Family Centre's are a friendly welcoming service who work together with our partner agencies to support families and young people to achieve the best possible outcomes and improve their life chances. The service is tailored to local need with specific provision based on in-depth understanding of the local communities it serves. The Children and Family Centre service includes the following core elements: Coordination and administration of the designated Children & Family Centres, associated outreach provision and volunteer co-ordination; Provision of a range of stay, play and learn opportunities Service, locality and community development.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic As & When Administrator who will support our team at our Children and Family Centres which are based in Rugby District across our three Children and Family Centres: Claremont, Boughton Leigh and Long Lawford. You will be required to work across all three centres.
This role requires flexibility. Our Centres opening times are between Monday - Friday between 8.30- 4.30pm.
The post we are seeking to fill is for an As & When Administrator to provide cover for sickness, annual leave and when we require additional support for events etc.
Roles and responsibilities specific to this post:
The role of the Administrator will be to provide a friendly welcome to families and colleagues coming into the centre in person and on the phone. You would use local knowledge of the community and early help provision to signpost families to relevant support. As a member of a wider admin team across the district you would work together with the team to share ideas and solutions and offer a consistent approach. You would offer this support through a variety of means including: virtual platforms, by phone, and in person. All of our work is all about making the biggest impact during the best window of opportunity in a child's life.
Objectives of Service:
To support the admin team across the Rugby District Group of Children and Family Centres in an efficient and effective manner. We are looking to appoint an experienced administrator who will be able to hit the ground running.
The administrator is the touchstone of the service and the first point of contact in the Children and Family Centre. You need to be confident with good communication skills. You will be exceptionally organised, ensuring that reporting systems are in place, data is collection and inputting.
The Children and Family Centre staff team includes our Administrators, Early Years' Practitioners, Volunteer Co-ordinator and our team of volunteers. We also work in partnership with a range of other services to support families including but not exclusive to Family Support Workers, Health Visitors, Midwives, Family Information Service, Parenting Project and Speech and Language therapists, who all bringing a rich mix of experience and skills to the work of each centre.
