The role
We are looking for someone who wants to start their career in marketing and is interested in learning more about CRMs, email marketing and measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. As part of the King’s Fund’s centralised Marketing function, you’ll be at the heart of giving colleagues and customers a consistent, joined-up experience and play a key role in our marketing strategy. You’ll deal with a spectrum of work, spanning everything from writing and creating compelling copy (for both online and offline marketing activity); diving into our CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and managing lists; to pulling together evaluation reports, analysing campaign performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights. With support from your manager and rest of the team, it’s a great role to build your expertise and gain valuable marketing experience.
To join us, you’ll need a keen interest in marketing and a blend of creativity and precision to write clear and compelling copy for marketing materials including email campaigns. You will enjoy communicating with people, both in person and on paper. Attention to detail is important and you will be proficient in Microsoft products including Excel. Beyond this, you must be organised, flexible and as passionate about our work as we are.
The Fund is committed to a hybrid working model that meets the organisation’s needs, while giving staff flexibility to choose between office and home working. Most staff are expected to work a minimum of 40% from our central London office and are free to work more days from the office if they prefer. We are in the process of developing our long-term policy on this, although the expected minimum time in the office will remain 40% (pro rata).

About you

Working closely with the Head of Communications and Marketing, key activities for 2024/25 will include updating our content management system; rolling out a new marketing function within our CRM; delivering agreed communications elements for our 60th anniversary programme; and working with colleagues to ensure all digital marketing activity is integrated, value for money, agile by design and delivers against our strategic priorities.

You will be responsible for planning and ensuring the delivery of a strategically aligned plan for the Marketing and Communications Team. We are looking for an interim Individual Giving Membership Manager for an incredible health charity, for a fixed term 12 month maternity contract, ideally to start in July.
This is a hybrid role with with once a week in the Southwest office.

The Role
In this exciting role, you'll optimise and develop our supporter and member retention programmes.
Reporting to the Head of Supporter Engagement, you'll retain, reactivate and develop individual supporters and members, ensuring they have the best experience, maximising their lifetime value.
You'll work closely with the Acquisition Manager as required and will manage the Supporter Engagement team.
Develop and deliver the annual individual giving programme, including supporter appeals, the weekly lottery, reactivation, upgrade, and cross-selling activities.
Manage the membership programme, maintaining and building the base through stewardship and conversion activity.
Develop the annual business plans and budgets for individual giving, membership, legacy marketing, and retail.
The Candidate
Experience of leading and developing a team.
Experience of developing and delivering a cross-channel direct marketing programme, ideally within a charity or membership organisation.
Firsthand experience of managing customer/ supporter, development, and retention campaigns.
Experience of managing budgets and developing annual plans.

About this exciting opportunity
As Grants and Bids Manager, you will manage statutory funding applications of five, six and seven figure multi-year income compliant with commissioner/funder requirements and oversee the project management of applications – managing timelines, activities, delegating tasks and ensuring stakeholders meet them, support decision-making through providing relevant and informed advice and producing high quality funding proposals and applications.
We will also rely on you to plan and chair proposal development meetings with key internal stakeholders, to identify and successfully bring in new funding opportunities that align with our strategic objectives, and to provide the highest level of donor care and manage involvement of new funders to ensure that the giving potential of each individual funding body is maximised. Updating the Fundraising Management Team with strategic developments in funding opportunities and supporting the Statutory Fundraising Team with other tasks, including their funding applications and proposals, are also vital elements of the role.

- Experience of developing compelling proposals and generating £100k+ income
- Knowledge of the issues affecting our client group and the policy landscape

- Sound project management skills, with ability to track stakeholder tasks and input
- The ability to proactively seek solutions to issues and challenges faced while producing bids/proposals/applications

The Role
To join a friendly, open team and support the Acquisition Manager and work alongside another Senior DM Officer.
Develop and deliver the media acquisition strategy, taking ownership of multiple campaigns across DRTV, Press, inserts and outdoor.
Deliver annual portfolio of acquisition campaigns, all the way from proposal and concept stage to evaluation, across a range of media. Budget managing campaigns ranging from £40-100k budgets.
Breathe innovation throughout your campiagns and proactively support the curlture of learning and development.
Monitor data requirements for acquisition campaigns ensuring that logistically campaigns run smoothly and are analysed continually to improve ROI and LTV.
The Candidate
1 years+ experience in one of the channels DRTV, Press, Inserts or outdoor.
Proven experience of DM campaign management ideally including developing new creative approaches, and sourcing, managing,negotiating and liaising with suppliers.
Experience of writing fundraising/direct marketing copy.
Experience of managing large expenditure budgets.

About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced fundraiser to join a successful and thriving team. Working within the Trusts and Foundations team, the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager will grow income for the charity through high value grants and support the directorate’s ambition for securing sustainable long-term funding. One of the key areas of responsibility for this role is to develop and lead a process for statutory fundraising, working closely with a range of internal stakeholders to identify suitable government-funded and researcher-led funding opportunities and submitting compelling applications for our priority projects.
