Job Title: Trust Fundraising Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)

Our mission is to tirelessly support and champion how parents can participate in education and have their voices heard.  We want to be a powerful force for good in education in the UK that strives to bring homes and schools together for the good of all children and society.  We have ambitious plans to increase our impact and are establishing a central fundraising strategy for the first time.  Therefore, we are looking for an experienced trust fundraiser to play a key role in delivering organisational growth. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fledgling Fundraising Team and develop a trust fundraising programme from the ground up.  We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, who is an excellent communicator - spoken and written – and who can undertake research to effectively identify appropriate prospects.  You will help to develop our case for support and develop a suite of proposals and reports that will convey to funders what Parentkind does, what the parents and schools we work with want, and how we support them.  Attention to detail is key, as is the ability to manage your time and prioritise your work.

You’ll have

• A minimum of two years of experience in trust fundraising
• Demonstrable success in securing four and five-figure gifts
• Experience in managing funder relationships, and developing them into longer-term partnerships
• Strong research skills to help identify suitable prospects whose mission aligns with Parentkind
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent communication skills - strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality written applications, and proposals and deliver impactful presentations

Communities Manager

You will be responsible for supporting communities in London to develop new genuinely and permanently affordable community-led housing; the development and implementation of our approach to the residents we serve, including allocations, management, resale, and stewardship; supporting local community steering groups building relationships, supporting groups and local leaders, and coordinating the implementation of our social impact strategy.

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Finance Team in the role of Finance Assistant.

The Finance Assistant supports all aspects of the Hallé’s work at the Bridgewater Hall, the Hallé Venues and concert halls across the UK.

The Finance Assistant works in a department currently comprising Finance Director, Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager and Finance Assistant.

The department is responsible for all aspects of the financial affairs of the Society and its related trusts. The Finance Assistant is responsible to the Assistant Finance Manager.

They take responsibility for processing the day-to-day transactions of the company across purchase ledger, sales ledger and the cash book, and ensure the smooth operation of the office. They will also need to work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Hallé as well as with external customers and suppliers.

The post is full-time permanent based on a 36.25-hour week. Our core office hours are 09.00-17:15, from Monday to Friday. There is an option to work up to 50% of hours from home.

Consideration will be given to applicants wanting to work part-time at an appropriate level to meet the requirements of the role.

We are looking for someone to provide HRBP support to all directorates on matters including recruitment and selection, payroll and induction of new starters. The role will lead on employee relations work and work with internal stakeholders on developing and delivering interventions to improve communication with and engagement of staff. They will be involved in producing and analysing data to inform and feed into the People strategy, and manage the HR & Wellbeing Assistant.

You will have experience of working in an advisory capacity at all levels of an organisation, and of complex employee relations casework. Knowledge of current HR law and best practice are also key, as well as the ability to communicate effectively across different audiences.

ABOUT ASYLUM AID

For over thirty years, Asylum Aid has been providing legal representation to some of the most vulnerable people seeking asylum. We have built an expert service, delivering vital and life-saving services in some of the most complex legal cases, with a particular speciality working with unaccompanied children, Survivors of trafficking, torture or other forms of human cruelty,  and stateless people. Our vision is that all those in need of protection from persecution and other forms of human cruelty in the UK can obtain it, and are treated fairly and with dignity.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Children and Young People’s Solicitor and Senior Caseworker at Asylum Aid, you will primarily work with unaccompanied asylum-seeking child (UASC) and young people (under 25), providing end to end representation on their asylum, human rights and trafficking claims. You may also undertake age dispute challenges and other judicial review work on behalf of your clients. You will combine this work, which will account for approximately 70% of your time, with conducting other immigration matters, including adult asylum claims, family reunion applications and statelessness applications. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider work of the Asylum Aid team, delivering high quality legal services on the full range of protection and trafficking issues that affect migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. You will conduct asylum casework under legal aid funding, with a specialist focus on representing unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people, and contribute to policy and strategic legal work to promote the rights of children and young people in the asylum system. 

 You will be a qualified solicitor or Immigration caseworker with IAAS Level 2/Senior Caseworker accreditation and have significant experience in publicly funded immigration work under a Legal Aid Agency Contract. You should have, or be able to obtain, Level 2 Children Safeguarding. 

As is the nature of this sector, the role will be exposed to a high volume of traumatic and distressing material and, whilst they will be supported by the Asylum Aid Director, supervisors and the surrounding team, they should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of good self-care principles in an intense work environment.

We are looking to recruit a Head of Member Acquisition and Engagement on a part-time contract. This is an exciting new role that will play a key part in our continued growth and will make a real impact on the teaching profession; we are looking for someone who believes in our mission and the work we do.

Working closely with the Deputy Chief Executive, Associate Director: Partnerships and the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Head of Member Acquisition and Engagement will take a lead on activity related to attracting and retaining our individual teacher members, including developing, rolling out and evaluating recruitment and retention programmes, initiatives and campaigns for current and prospective members. The successful candidate will be confident using data to inform decision-making and monitor progress towards membership growth targets and have the ability to work well independently and within a team.

Main area of work

The majority of your time will be spent developing, implementing and evaluating strategies to secure individual membership growth, including through retaining current members and attracting new members.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships externally and working with a range of colleagues across the organisation. You’ll be an expert on our products and services, and you’ll use our CRM system and other data sources to understand membership trends, challenges and opportunities.

You will ensure the Chartered College of Teaching is responsive to the needs of the sector, making sure that we understand our members and ensuring that every member gets maximum value from engagement with our products and services.

Additional areas of work

• Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager, planning recruitment campaigns and strategising content and resources for membership initiatives
• With the Associate Director: Partnerships, ensuring join-up between group membership sales and individual member sales
• Promoting and representing the Chartered College to potential members at events
• Working with the Membership Manager to ensure a seamless experience for members from their first interaction with us
• Recording, presenting, formatting and analysing data in a variety of ways to report to colleagues and stakeholders, including against KPIs.
• Performing other activities as and when required to support the wider team to achieve the charity’s goals.

Alongside your main areas of work, you will also participate in meetings and be encouraged to participate in CPD learning activities and training to maintain and develop your knowledge and skills.

You don’t need to have expertise in absolutely all areas, but we’re looking for someone who is motivated by our vision and truly passionate about membership growth and supporting teachers. Systems you would be using include Salesforce, DotDigital, Google Workspace, Zoom, Submittable and Slack.

Experience and skills:

• Experience in a sales or business development role (essential), with experience of membership or subscription sales highly desirable
• Experience working in the education sector (highly desirable)
• Experience of developing, delivering and evaluating sales initiatives and campaigns (essential)
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills (essential)
• Experience of Salesforce or other CRM systems (essential)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (desirable)

As an EPRM you will be a key contributor to the regional strategy working very much in a one team environment whilst giving you the space to grow and develop your skills. Your role as EPRM will see you work directly with young people and teachers in schools that take part in Young Enterprise programmes such as company programme, day programmes and digital programmes. You will also oversee regional relationships, at local authority level or equivalent.

The EPRM role involves being flexible to the needs of the region and your team and to provide regional leadership. Some of the duties include, which is not an exhaustive list

• Deliver and or support the delivery of Young Enterprise programmes and services in schools, colleges, universities, and youth centres
• Work as part of the regional team to proactively identify and generate sources of local income to support YE programmes.
• Manage and monitor KPIs and local contracts associated with the above tasks through the regional operations plan set out by the Regional Manager.
• Work with the local YE Volunteer Team (LVT), providing support, direction and opportunities to engage with local activity, which may include fundraising, volunteering on programmes and / or promoting our programmes to new school
• Work closely with Programmes & Services team to support the development and delivery of our full suite of programmes, while also developing your own knowledge and understanding of our full suite of programmes and services to promote to schools.

The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, based at the foothills of Mount Kenya, works as a model and catalyst for the conservation of wildlife and its habitat. Purpose of the job:

This role is responsible for supporting the Director of Foundations, Organisations and Institutions to maximise income from foundations and organisations and institutions. The post-holder will develop a robust pipeline of funding through organisations based in the UK and internationally.

Skills and experiance required: 

● Minimum five (5) years of professional experience successfully delivering high value, multi-year funding from the UK and internationally

● Extensive experience of donor prospecting and pipeline management

● A strong background in foundation, organisation and institutional bid writing, application processes, reporting and stewarding with successful 5 and 6 figure outcomes

● Demonstrable experience of personally securing 5 and 6 figure sum gifts

● Experience of complex bid development and working with delivery teams on programme design and grant management

● Excellent written and spoken English

● Sound strategic thinking and planning skills and the ability to think creatively, set priorities, and develop of work-plans

● Ability to work under pressure and with multiple competing priorities

● Strong attention to detail

● Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

● Experience in Salesforce highly desirable 

● Ability to travel periodically to the United States, Canada and Europe
