As the Senior Philanthropy Executive, Trusts, you’ll be at the heart of our trust fundraising programme. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and growing a portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, comprised of existing supporters and potential prospects in order to deliver sustainable income growth.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with Trusts and Foundations, leading cultivation and solicitation strategies to secure five-figure donations and long-term support.
• Researching and identifying new funding opportunities which align with our organisational funding priorities.
• Creating compelling, clear and high-quality funding applications and cases for support to engage and inspire prospective donors
• Delivering excellent stewardship and reporting for Trust and Foundations in your portfolio, keeping them informed and engaged with the work of the Charity and The Royal Marsden
• Planning and delivering targeted fundraising communications and mailings to groups of Trusts and Foundations, providing consistent, high-quality updates aligned to priority funding themes and organisational objectives.

Purpose of the role 

We are seeking a project coordinator to contribute research, project management and stakeholder management skills to support key projects advancing the consumer voice in the sustainability transition. This is a critical role in our team, and it comes with significant development opportunities.

The Research and Events Coordinator will work alongside the Strategy and Projects Leads for Clean Energy Futures to manage engagement with the communities of practice that feed into our Clean Energy Futures work. This includes the Member Taskforce on Energy and the Multi-stakeholder Expert Group, comprised of cross-sector experts from business, academia and government.

The Coordinator will also contribute to project delivery through research into energy policy and practice and report writing, as well as joining programme strategy discussions in a strongly collaborative and non-hierarchical environment. We also anticipate the Coordinator working closely with our Insights Lead to conduct desk research and stakeholder interviews to deliver insights components of Sustainability Programme workstreams. 

After an initial 6-month period focused on Clean Energy Futures, there will be opportunities for the Coordinator to broaden their remit to other projects and topics within the Sustainability Programme.

Reflecting this breadth and the opportunities to grow, the Coordinator will initially report into the Director of Sustainability, who will provide guidance and mentoring support.

The ideal candidate is a highly organised, proactive and energetic individual who can demonstrate their knowledge and professional interest in sustainability and an understanding of the importance of consumers in the transition. They should be comfortable working remotely in a busy and varied global environment and able to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.Prior knowledge of the energy sector is useful but not a pre-requisite.

This role can be shaped to focus on variety of potential topics, capabilities and opportunities as we grow the team, depending on the needs of the organisation and skills and interests of the individual.

Key Responsibilities 

Key responsibilities of the role include the following:  

• Project Coordination: Support the implementation of Sustainability Programme projects, with an initial focus on Clean Energy Futures. This will include managing project plans and tracking timelines for project deliverables, as well as engaging project partners to keep them updated on project progress. 

• Research support: Support the Clean Energy Futures Strategy and Project Leads in conducting research and gathering examples and insights from our global network of stakeholders to inform the development of our analysis, reports and proposals. Support the Insights Lead with consumer insights research and stakeholder interviews. 

• Community coordination and meeting organisation: Support organisation of in-person and online stakeholder workshops or meetings including supporting the development of agendas, invite lists and online and in-person logistical arrangements where needed. This may include project related meetings and representation at other events and high-level global moments such as COP31. 

• Communications support: Draft, provide input to, and disseminate communications (e.g. meeting minutes, research reports, topic briefings) to project stakeholders, ensuring accurate, timely and appropriate communications. 

• Strategic inputs: Contribute your thoughts and ideas to development and delivery of the clean energy futures and wider sustainability work programmes and strategy as needed. 

The overall work of Consumers International: 

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to support the implementation of the Strategic and Business Plans.

• Contribute as needed to team meetings and other Consumers International-wide communication and outreach.

Department: People and Culture

1-Purpose:

Safety and Security Specialist safeguards Right To Play (RTP)’s people, assets, and operations by leading effective safety and security risk management across all contexts. The role ensures appropriate policies, preparedness, and incident response frameworks that enable programs to operate responsibly in volatile environments while advising leadership and fostering a strong culture of safety and accountability.

2- Accountability & Responsibilities:

Work to deliver against a set of KPIs in security overseen by RTP's Executive Team (ET) by: (25%)

• Lead on the continued development of adaptable security measures for RTP's different methods of programme delivery.
• Mentor and developing a network of Safety and Security (S&S) Focal points to deliver in-country security procedures with Country Directors
• Regularly monitor and audit of security KPIs at country level
• Support ET members integrate security measures/considerations in the areas they oversee
• Promote security measures at country level and developing a culture of security across RTP's global programmes.

Security Management (25%)

• Develop and oversee global S&S policies, standards, roles and responsibilities and minimum requirements including Risk Assessments (SSRAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all areas of operation.
• Ensure implementation and consistent application of RTP S&S Principles, standards, and KPIs
• Ensure alignment with humanitarian principles and international best practice
• Monitor and report on S&S implementation for RTP, through regular external audits or self-assessments
• Advise ET on all aspects of S&S helping them to understand what risks are acceptable, under what conditions and actively promotes a strong culture of S&S among the RTP team

Incident Management (20%)

• Coordinate all S&S incident responses and promptly report incidents to the CPCO
• Advise and review contingency plans, including hibernations, relocations and security or medical evacuations.
• Monitor and support the effective use of all communication systems (HF, VHF, satellite phones, mobile phones and the internal security information tree) and procedural compliance.
• Lead or coordinate responses to serious incidents (e.g. staff injury, kidnapping, detention, attacks) and Act as a central coordinating point during major crises
• Ensure clear incident reporting, investigation, and learning

Information Collection, Analysis and Sharing (15%)

• Collect information on safety and security issues relevant to RTP and share with the country leadership team and Global Crisis Management Team (GCMT)
• Disseminate information on safety and security to RTP staff
• Compile monthly reports on safety and security and share with the CPCO, Unit leads CD and RTP SSFP
• Participate in networking with other NGO and UN safety and security representatives and fora

Capacity Strengthening, Learning and Compliance (15%)

• Design, coordinate, and oversee organizational safety and security training, including core learning for staff and coaching SSFPs to deliver context‑appropriate training.
• Establish and maintain safety and security orientation processes for new staff, interns, volunteers, and visitors, including travel protocols and arrival briefings.
• Build leadership and staff understanding of individual and collective safety and security responsibilities, reinforcing a culture of shared accountability and duty of care.
• Monitor overall compliance with S&S policies and procedures, identifying trends, gaps, and risks, and escalate concerns to line management and leadership as appropriate.
• Provide technical guidance and support to managers on addressing non‑compliance, including recommendations for corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure systems are in place for reporting work‑related injuries, accidents, security incidents, and fatality risks, and promote timely and accurate reporting.
• Provide functional oversight and guidance for contracted or assigned security personnel (e.g. guards), where applicable, in collaboration with operations and management teams.

3- Scope (geographical and/or functional), Impact and Autonomy

This is a global role that has an oversight on all S&S work within RTP and ensures support and guidance are provided to country teams and all other global units including security in travel.

4- Leadership and Staff management

• Coach and support the development and building of a high performing team of around 12 S&S focal points and advice ET, Country Directors and Unit leads on Security matters.
• Support the recruitment and onboarding of colleagues that act as S&S focal points or have key responsibilities on S&S according to the framework.

5- Information requirement for decision-making

• Make decisions/recommendations based on the documentation/data/information shared by the country offices and global units and cross referencing the same with the RTP network information/ government sites/ manuals/globally accepted practices and principles.
• Require sometimes consolidation and analysis of information from all countries requires to reach decisions that are linked to organization’s priorities and values.
• Information may not always be readily available and may require ongoing effort to stay updated in order to provide accurate and timely advice withing tight deadlines and sensitive environments at times.

6- Innovation and Improvements

Keep track of innovations in security practices including new tools and efficiencies in risk mitigations. Continuously innovate security measures in response to evolving RTP governing model. Monitor and proactively facilitate after action reviews for incidents and shares findings and action plans that drive improvements to the overall S&S practices

7- Relationships & Communications: Internal / External

Work closely with the Global Crisis Management Team, Global Director Country Offices, Logistics and Operations Manager, Unit leads and S&S Focal Points on Safety and Security matters.  Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with all RTP team.  Externally form part of security networks and manage key providers

8- Expertise (Certifications / Education, Professional Experience/Language)

• Security and Risk management qualification or equivalent experience and up to date training certificates in hostile environment training (HEAT), crisis management training, stress and resilience.
• Extensive experience of security management in at least 3 of the following regions: Africa, Americas, Asia, Middle East or Europe, ideally in multiple countries with varied risk profiles, and in the context of NGO, INGO, news media or inter-governmental agency operations
• Proven experience developing and implementing non-standard security policies, frameworks and practices. This includes delivering security measures across a mixed portfolio of programmes.
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and a strong understanding of the legal, moral, and contractual duty of care obligations required of humanitarian and international organizations with devolved accountability and responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of an organization’s duty of care requirements and how this will integrate with other good security and safeguarding practices, health and safety legislation and organizational needs in various countries.
• A strong and well-developed network of contacts with relevant external providers, as well as key professionals working with these providers
• Experience of hostile or complex operating environments with a demonstrable understanding of the challenges faced by international organisations and the NGO sector
• Good communication skills in spoken and written English essential. Including experience of writing and reviewing policies, procedures and plans. Knowledge of other languages spoken in the region would be a significant plus.

London National Park City is looking for a friendly and energetic community organiser to join our small staff team as a Ranger Coordinator. This is a two year contract role for at least four days per week, to support the delivery of our Ranger programme and activities across London.

Key Responsibilities

Community Organising & Ranger Community

• Act as a key point of contact and support for Rangers across London, helping them feel connected to the wider community and to London National Park City while getting to know them and their needs individually. 

• Lead on the assembly of our River Rangers cohort, bringing together new and existing Rangers whose projects are connected to our rivers and waterways, and creating engaging learning experiences for them.

Co-ordinate the logistics of training sessions, including scheduling, venue booking, communications with participants, and preparation of materials.

• Support the gathering and analysis of feedback from programmes to inform ongoing programme development. 

Ranger Recruitment

• Directly support the identification and recruitment of new Rangers, including developing outreach strategies to attract volunteers from all of London's diverse communities. 

• Working with the communications team, contribute to recruitment materials on our website and digital channels.

• Help manage the application and onboarding process for new Ranger recruits, providing a welcoming and smooth experience from enquiry through to induction.

• Actively build relationships with underrepresented communities, community organisations, and local networks who may be interested in joining the Ranger community. 

Programme and Administration

• Maintain up to date records and administration on Rangers and their activities, including maintaining databases, tracking participation, and preparing reports.

• Contribute to the delivery of the Small Grants programme, including supporting Rangers to apply for grants, and design their projects. 

• Assist with monitoring and evaluation, helping to capture stories, data, and outcomes that demonstrate the impact of the Ranger and Small Grants programmes.

Salary and benefits

You will be joining and fully participating in a unique and inspirational community of changemakers and storytellers, active across London and increasingly around the world.

This is a contract role ideally full-time or for at least four days per week, initially until June 2028. Salary is dependent on experience and in the range of £32,000 to £36,000 full time. We are open to applications for flexible working arrangements which many of our staff take up.

You will have 25 holiday days allowance per year, pro rated for part-time working.

Following successful completion of a 3-month probationary period, we will enrol you in our Nest pension scheme, and will make additional payments of 4% as long as you contribute 4% of your salary each month.

1. Main Purpose of the Job

• To ensure the panel reflects AvMA’s values and that where possible the panel is managed in line with our strategic plan.

• To manage and oversee the operation of the specialist AvMA clinical negligence panel to include ensuring the qualifying requirements for panel applicants are relevant and up to date and reflect any important medical and legal developments.

• The assessment of panel applications and interviewing of Applicants. Convening meetings of the panel committee, drafting agendas for those meetings and identifying issues to be discussed.

• Identify ways for the AvMA panel application process to become more streamlined, efficient and supportive of lawyers making panel applications. To develop the process to ensure it is fit for purpose, relevant and continues to meet the needs of the public.

• Ensuring the AvMA database of panel membership and special interests is kept up to date. Giving informal advice to solicitors enquiring about panel membership requirements, liaising and meeting with firms as required.

• Travelling and attending key networking events, including AvMA’s three-day (2 overnight stays) annual conference and AvMA annual panel meeting (usually held end Nov, beginning December), engaging with potential AvMA panel applicants, promoting the benefits of accreditation and the junior scheme (Certificates Competence Scheme (CCS)), keeping up to date with medical and legal developments. • To deliver on administrative requirements such as quarterly reports for trustees, working with AvMA’s Service Delivery Quality and Outreach Committee (SDQOC) as required to update on continued improvement of AvMA Panel Accreditation Scheme.

• Dealing with queries raised by AvMA Panel applicants and/or juniors who may have had their applications rejected.

• Ensuring AvMA panel template letters and documents are updated

• From time to time speaking publicly about requirements for AvMA panel membership, common pitfalls and how to overcome them as well as other matters relating to panel.

2. Skills and Experience

Administration of the AvMA Panel

The bulk of the administration and management tasks do not require specialist skills; however, assistance is provided by the PA to the CEO when required.

AvMA has a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) driven computer system throughout the organisation, the introduction has been phased and the applicant should be confident enough with sufficient IT skills to onboard the new system. The CRM works with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a data driven software solution which is intended to manage, track and store information. AvMA considers IT to be an ongoing commitment and the new panel accreditation manager should be willing to consider ways in which AvMA can maximise the impact of the CRM to improve services and data collection on key issues identified from panel related activities.

Tasks such as updating and preparing new panel application documents and report forms will require medical and legal input, the panel application interview process will involve discussions about topical medico legal issues and for this reason the post would suit someone who has a legal background, ideally qualified as a solicitor or barrister, preferably with clinical negligence accreditation. A a medical background would be helpful.

Assessment of new applications, interviews and dealing with correspondence

The Panel Accreditation Manager is primarily responsible for the assessment of new panel accreditation applications.

The role of Panel Accreditation Manager would suit someone who has practised as a claimant clinical negligence lawyer who is looking to draw on their expertise and experience in a new role.The successful applicant should be confident in assessing former peers and colleagues in a fair and impartial way.

The nature of this work is such that the Panel Accreditation Manager can come into possession of sensitive information, discretion and respecting confidentiality are key qualities for this role. 

Reaccreditations

Reaccreditation assessments are done internally by the Panel Accreditation Manager, occasionally assistance can be provided by members of the internal panel assessment team.

AvMA aims to make reaccreditations more straightforward for practitioners and the new appointee will be expected to liaise with the profession to understand where they consider the biggest hurdles to reaccreditation lie and to consider how these can be overcome without compromising standards. 

AvMA receives a minimum of 15 applications for reaccreditation per annum, however numbers are usually considerably higher, up to 30 per annum.It is thought that the reaccreditation process could be designed to be more streamlined and user friendly for both the applicant and in house.

Other AvMA Panel assessments

In addition to assessing AvMA panel applications and reaccreditations the Panel Accreditation Manager will need to assess applications from accredited panel members who have changed firms.

Change of firm applications tend to be straightforward if the applicant has been on the panel for some time and is going to a firm where there is another AvMA panel member but the process is more in depth for those going to a firm which does not have another AvMA panel member.  The Panel Application Manager needs to be confident that the new firm can meet the minimum standards and supervision requirements required of a first time panel application. 

There are about 5 applications for changes of firm rising to a maximum of 10 per annum.

From time to time first time applicants may demonstrate that they largely meet the core criteria for AvMA Panel membership but there may be some areas that require improvement.In those cases, AvMA can award the applicant AvMA panel status subject to a review sometime later.The Panel Accreditation Manager is responsible for following up that review and examining progress made.The review is an opportunity to identify if the applicant has succeeded in strengthening the areas of weakness identified.If they have not, they risk losing their AvMA panel status entirely. 

There are about 3 interim reviews per annum, currently not exceeding 6.

Job Title: Programme Lead (Path Protection)

Team: Programmes and Delivery

Location: Hybrid (split between home-working and either London, Cardiff or Edinburgh)

*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £33,367 to £50,051. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £36,704 depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This approach aims to ensure fair compensation for new hires while maintaining alignment with the structured pay scale for the role.

The Ramblers are looking for a proactive Programme Lead to help us open and protect paths, so more people can enjoy the benefits of walking outdoors.

This role will lead our Path Protection work, to help people understand their rights, take local action to protect paths and improve the places where they live. A key part of the role is working with and supporting a network of knowledgeable volunteers across Great Britain, to take practical action in their communities.

You’ll focus on creating programmes that make it easier for more people – especially those with the most barriers and least access – to get involved, speak up for their local paths, and take action that leads to real improvements.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in public rights of way, outdoor access, planning, environmental protection or a related field – and who can turn that knowledge into practical, community-led action.

Context and purpose of role

At Ramblers we work to empower the public and volunteers to take action to protect paths and access – whether claiming lost rights of way, pursuing resolutions to path problems, or objecting to changes to the definitive map. As a member of the Programmes team, the Programme Lead (Path Protection) will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme across GB.

Key responsibilities

· Lead on the design, development and operational delivery of the Path Protection programme across GB.

· Create operational delivery plans – to identify milestones, monitor risks, resolve issues and manage resource requirements.

· Design and develop resources and processes to support programme implementation.

· Be responsible for managing a budget in line with programme goals and objectives.

· Be responsible for evaluation and reporting, to ensure the programme meets KPIs and delivers measurable impact.

· Manage new and existing strategic partnerships with partner organisations and those working to improve access and reduce barriers to becoming active outdoors.

· Train and support volunteers – and promote the programme more widely.

· Provide advice and guidance to the public on path protection issues.

· Engage diverse audiences from communities facing additional barriers to getting outdoors, to senior stakeholders including funders and other strategic external partners.

· Directly deliver Path Protection events to support the continued development and co-production of the programme.

· Work closely with Nations Directors, Community Development Officers and the Fundraising team to secure the support required to sustain and grow the programme.

· Ensure robust risk management systems are in place to ensure the safety of participants.

· Ensure programme compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

· Review the programme annually to identify lessons learned or areas for development to drive continuous improvement.

· Work collaboratively as a member of the Programmes team, to share learning and develop innovative practice in programme design and development.

· Engage and proactively develop excellent working relationships across the organisation

· Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required of the post.

· Programme management experience – including responsibility for planning, budgeting, and monitoring and evaluation.

· Experience providing advice to a variety of stakeholders and managing casework.

· Experience recruiting and managing partners and volunteers.

· Experience designing and delivering a training programme – working with participants to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

· Experience of successfully working with fundraising colleagues to secure funding to sustain and scale a programme.

· Knowledge of the potential barriers to participation in outdoor recreation.

· Experience managing relationships with strategic stakeholders.

· An understanding of rights of way law and practice.
