Head of Project Delivery

What is the Role?
This is a fixed-term maternity cover opportunity for a Partnerships Account Manager. In this role, you will drive business growth by securing new partnerships and managing key client accounts across designated regions. Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
Proactively seek new business opportunities within assigned regions to grow the client base.

Bid Management and Process Improvement
Oversee the preparation and submission of tenders and bid applications, working closely with junior member(s) to ensure high-quality and timely submissions.

Essential Skills and Experience:
Detailed knowledge of the UK education sector.
Experience working in the education sector or with local authorities, particularly in roles involving SEND or children’s services.
Proven track record in client relationship management, with experience in sales or partnership development roles.
Strong communication skills, particularly in face-to-face and telephone interactions, with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-lasting relationships.
Experience managing a small team, providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure high-performance standards.
High level of empathy and commitment to supporting vulnerable and underserved communities.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet both short- and long-term deadlines effectively.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking client data, leads, and progress.
Proactive, problem-solving mindset, able to address issues independently and provide client-focused solutions.
Able to work in a high pressure environment, whilst taking initiative, we would want the postholder to ask for support when needed.
Desirable:
Exceptional written communication skills, with proven confidence in drafting, editing, and refining persuasive content across a variety of formats.
Experience in bid and tender writing or grant applications is advantageous, though a background in producing compelling written materials for diverse purposes is equally valued.

The Ramblers are looking for a proactive Programme Lead to help us open and protect paths, so more people can enjoy the benefits of walking outdoors.
This role will lead our Path Protection work, to help people understand their rights, take local action to protect paths and improve the places where they live. A key part of the role is working with and supporting a network of knowledgeable volunteers across Great Britain, to take practical action in their communities.
You’ll focus on creating programmes that make it easier for more people – especially those with the most barriers and least access – to get involved, speak up for their local paths, and take action that leads to real improvements.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in public rights of way, outdoor access, planning, environmental protection or a related field – and who can turn that knowledge into practical, community-led action.
Context and purpose of role
At Ramblers we work to empower the public and volunteers to take action to protect paths and access – whether claiming lost rights of way, pursuing resolutions to path problems, or objecting to changes to the definitive map. As a member of the Programmes team, the Programme Lead (Path Protection) will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme across GB.
Key responsibilities
· Lead on the design, development and operational delivery of the Path Protection programme across GB.
· Create operational delivery plans – to identify milestones, monitor risks, resolve issues and manage resource requirements.
· Design and develop resources and processes to support programme implementation.
· Be responsible for managing a budget in line with programme goals and objectives.
· Be responsible for evaluation and reporting, to ensure the programme meets KPIs and delivers measurable impact.
· Manage new and existing strategic partnerships with partner organisations and those working to improve access and reduce barriers to becoming active outdoors.
· Train and support volunteers – and promote the programme more widely.
· Provide advice and guidance to the public on path protection issues.
· Engage diverse audiences from communities facing additional barriers to getting outdoors, to senior stakeholders including funders and other strategic external partners.
· Directly deliver Path Protection events to support the continued development and co-production of the programme.
· Work closely with Nations Directors, Community Development Officers and the Fundraising team to secure the support required to sustain and grow the programme.
· Ensure robust risk management systems are in place to ensure the safety of participants.
· Ensure programme compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
· Review the programme annually to identify lessons learned or areas for development to drive continuous improvement.

Overall Job Purpose
The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic leadership and operational management for the charity, working closely with the Board of Trustees to deliver our mission and ensure AFK's sustainability and growth. You will lead a team of around 30 staff and volunteers, managing an annual budget of approximately £2 million.

The CEO will maintain close working relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders. You'll work collaboratively with a Board of eight trustees to drive the charity's strategy forward, providing regular updates and ensuring effective governance.
You'll line manage members of the Senior Management Team, ensuring a cohesive and effective leadership group.
Building and nurturing relationships with key funders, partners, and supporters will be essential to the role. You'll act as an ambassador for the charity with AFK’s stakeholders, representing our mission and impact. Developing strong networks within the sector and maintaining meaningful connections with service users will be vital to ensuring the charity remains responsive and relevant to those it serves.
You'll also build visible and accessible connections with the wider staff team through regular communication and engagement across the organisation.
Importantly, this is a hands-on leadership role with a direct portfolio responsibility. In addition to your organisational leadership duties, you will lead and manage one of our core functional areas, whether that is Service Delivery, Fundraising, or Finance and Operations. You'll bring your specialist expertise and people management skills to this area, taking ownership of its performance and development.
This means the CEO role combines strategic leadership of the whole organisation with active, day-to-day accountability for a defined part of it.

We are now looking for a visionary leader to join us as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This pivotal role will oversee the strategic direction of the charity, strengthening future sustainability and marking a new chapter in its mission to promote evidenced-based approaches to sentencing to help reduce re-offending, provide justice to victims and improve public confidence.
About the Role
This key position offers the chance to shape and develop the future of the Sentencing Academy and its commitment to enhancing sentencing practices and research in England and Wales. It is a leadership opportunity that involves executing a strategic plan that supports the charity's longevity. It is a role that not only focuses on organisational growth and influence but also emphasises the importance of operational compliance, financial health, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners. The budget for 2026/27 is fully funded but there is a need to significantly widen the organisation’s funding base to ensure its sustainability beyond the current financial year.
About You
We are seeking a passionate, and experienced leader with a proven track record in the non-profit sector to join our team as CEO. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an interest in sentencing and the wider criminal justice system. Your background will include strategic planning, governance, and financial management, with a strong ability to secure funding through grants and partnerships.
You will inspire and lead a diverse team, with expertise to build and maintain strong relationships, and represent our organisation in public forums and the media. As a forward-thinking leader you will demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
What We Offer
The post is offered on a 0.5 to 0.8 FTE basis (18.75 to 30 hours per week) on a permanent basis. An attractive package is offered alongside flexible hybrid working arrangements. The Sentencing Academy is currently a remote organisation although attendance at regular meetings in London will be essential. The salary for this post is £70,000 pro rata.

The Arctic Initiative Lead will provide overall leadership for the development of an exciting grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, using this to test the opportunity for longer term Fauna & Flora engagement in this region. Working closely with relevant Directors, the role will deliver the Arctic Initiative in line with agreed outcomes and funding. A central element of the project will be stewarding the development of a new platform to elevate Arctic community voices in global decision-making. The post-holder will play a critical role in ensuring this work contributes to a more people-centred narrative in international policy, finance, and conservation debates, and is shaped through a phased co-design process grounded in listening, trust-building and community-defined priorities, and will evolve as learning emerges. Given the scope and profile of the work, expertise from previous similar initiatives is highly desirable.
You will bring recognised expertise in Arctic political and governance contexts, with proven experience engaging credibly with both senior policy makers and community representatives. Comfortable representing Fauna & Flora at national and international levels, you will combine effective leadership with the ability to work effectively in an international NGO, including managing in a matrix-like structure.
