About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Fundraising CRM Manager to lead the development and management of our fundraising CRM and donor engagement systems. This is a pivotal role at an exciting moment of growth, ensuring our CRM is used strategically to strengthen donor relationships, improve fundraising performance, and support income growth across our international network.

Working closely with the Fundraising Director, you will oversee day‑to‑day CRM management, donor stewardship (up to £5,000), prospect research, reporting, and support for campaigns and events. You will also provide insight and data that underpin high‑value fundraising.

Key Responsibilities

CRM Management & Development

• Lead the daily administration and development of the fundraising CRM (Salesforce or Beacon).
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency and compliance with data protection standards.
• Build donor segmentation, pipelines and automated journeys to improve retention and engagement.
• Produce regular insight reports, dashboards and monthly financial tracking.
• Work with the Digital Officer to drive system improvements and train colleagues in CRM use.

Donor Stewardship & Fundraising Support

• Deliver excellent donor care, ensuring timely acknowledgements, updates and impact reporting.
• Steward donors giving up to £5,000, nurturing long‑term relationships.
• Support the delivery of digital, regular giving and peer‑to‑peer fundraising campaigns.
• Develop donor journeys that build loyalty to the St John mission.
• Collaborate with Communications to share compelling stories of impact.

Prospect Research & Reporting

• Research and profile new donors, trusts and partners across the global St John network.
• Provide monthly income and pledge tracking reports.
• Manage the fundraising pipeline, forecasting income and identifying growth opportunities.
• Prepare briefings and reports to support high‑value donor engagement.

Donor Growth & Global Engagement

• Develop strategies to grow the donor base, with a focus on gifts under £5,000.
• Use global awareness moments (e.g. St John Day, World First Aid Day) to acquire and retain supporters.
• Evaluate campaign performance and recommend improvements.

Support for High‑Value Fundraising

• Provide data insights, research and CRM support for major donor cultivation.
• Prepare donor histories and background briefings for senior fundraising activity.
• Ensure the CRM effectively supports high‑value relationship management.

• At least 3 years’ experience in fundraising, CRM management or donor development.
• Proven experience managing a fundraising CRM (Salesforce, Beacon or similar).

We have an exciting position in our team for an experienced and ambitious trusts fundraiser. Working as part of the Partnership Team and line managing one Grants & Programmes Manager, the Senior Grants & Programmes Manager will secure critical income from new and existing trust and foundation donors through compelling pitches and excellent stewardship.

The position will build on existing multiyear relationships with donors giving at the six-figure level per year, aiming to grow their contributions, as well as making approaches to new prospects, working closely with the Director of Partnerships. The role is also the key liaison between OSUK and teams at Operation Smile Inc and in programme countries around the world, leading on donor reporting and sourcing programmatic information for new funding opportunities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Trust and Foundation Funding Development

• Ensure achievement of annual income target for trusts and foundations
• Take primary responsibility for managing the current pool of trust/foundation donors, to ensure their growth and longevity – strategic input into the growth of each relationship will be essential
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of new funding prospects, creating propositions/proposals and making approaches, working with the Director of Partnerships, with a focus on the highest value prospects (those worth six-figures per year plus)
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to donors and internal stakeholders
• Represent Operation Smile UK in global funding discussions, applying any global strategies to develop successful fundraising plans for the UK

Programmes Liaison

• Lead on interaction with global teams at Operation Smile Inc (US) and programme country teams around the world, regarding OSUK’s funding of programmes
• Identify funding opportunities for new prospects and existing donors, sourcing relevant programmatic and financial information
• Support the allocation of OSUK’s funds to a portfolio of programmes that best meet our donors’ interests, and work with colleagues internationally to reallocate funds when needed
• Monitor projects’ progress against KPIs and ensure donor reporting (programmatic and financial) is complete and timely, and meets donors’ needs and expectations

Additional Responsibilities

• Line-manage one Grants & Programmes Manager, supporting them to manage their own portfolio of new prospects and existing relationships, including small trusts mailings
• Create and maintain annual trusts and foundations income and expenditure budgets and business plans, including current donors and forecasting new business income

business support teams and be responsible for transforming the culture ‘from good to great’.

We’re looking for an Operations Officer to play a central role in keeping our organisation running safely, smoothly and effectively across our central office, refuges and dispersed accommodation.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining operations, facilities management, reception, health & safety, admin coordination and service-user access support. You’ll help ensure our buildings, systems and processes enable high-quality, trauma-informed services for Black and minoritised (Global Majority) women and children.

You’ll be a key first point of contact for the organisation — welcoming, calm and professional — while helping to maintain safe, well-managed environments and strong operational systems.

You’ll:

• Support the day-to-day operation of the central office, refuges and dispersed accommodation

• Coordinate facilities, repairs, access and health & safety requirements

• Act as a first point of contact for enquiries, referrals and visitors

• Support safe service-user access and reception processes

• Provide administrative and operational support across teams

• Experience in operations, facilities, admin or office coordination

Title: Fundraising Manager

Responsible to: Director/Head of Operations

Hours: 14 hours per week  

Salary: £14,000-£16,000 (pro rata based on £35,000-40,000 FTE) (depending on experience and qualifications)

Based: Willesden, NW10 2JR + other locations if required (hybrid; 1 day per week remote working)

BIAS is a leading local Irish charity which has supported England’s largest community in Brent for over 45 years. We deliver our support across London through our welfare advice drop-in service, our active ageing clubs and our Be-a-Friend volunteer scheme. This is an exciting new role in which you will proactively generate and grow fundraising income across all fundraising streams to enable us to continue supporting the most vulnerable members of the Irish community. You will support our fundraising strategy by contributing to digital communications and creative content across all channels, in cooperation with project delivery teams. The role will play a central part in raising awareness and growing supporter engagement through digital  campaigns, donor events, individual giving initiatives and the development of relationships with local businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver BIAS’s community fundraising strategy.
• Develop and implement a varied portfolio of events, community fundraising activities and campaigns, all of which reflect the spirit of BIAS.
• Explore marketing opportunities to raise the profile of the charity.
• Ensure relevant processes are in place to deliver successful, profitable community fundraising activities.
• Oversee the management of fundraising systems and platforms in order to create the best possible experience for donors and participants.
• Develop a robust supporter journey for community fundraisers which leaves them with an excellent experience and generates a long-term relationship with BIAS.

To achieve these objectives, the post holder will be expected to:

• Plan, budget, coordinate and attend an annual community fundraising and events calendar with set objectives, budgets and KPIs for each activity.
• Regularly review the performance of fundraising activities/events, making  recommendations for improvement.
• Build and maintain a variety of community relationships across varying stakeholders.
• Explore and coordinate fundraising opportunities such as online donation platforms, auction platforms and text-to- donate services.
• Work with colleagues to ensure that all events are adequately supported with staff, volunteers and post-event debriefs.
• Ensure that all events and activities are compliant with the Code of Fundraising Practice, GDPR and internal policies.

This job description reflects the basic duties required of the Fundraising Manager. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. What we’re looking for…

• Experience of designing and delivering successful community fundraising events, campaigns and activities, preferably with a track record of at least two years.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including budget and project management.
• Ability to build excellent working relationships, especially with supporters and partners.
• Strong team player who will ensure clear and regular communication with the BIAS management team.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure and maintain a clear head, anticipating risks and problems.
• A willingness to adapt and be flexible.
• Ability to travel.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office suite, with experience of CRM systems.
• Empathy and an understanding of the Irish community.
