Following significant growth in Trusts & Foundations income over the past 18 months, Hubbub is well placed to build on this momentum and strengthen its fundraising.
Trusts & Foundations fundraising is a core part of the role. Reporting to the Head of Trusts and Foundations, the postholder will be responsible for prospect research, relationship development and bid writing, securing restricted, project-based funding aligned to funder priorities. This includes contributing to cases for support and working with programme colleagues to shape fundable project ideas.
Alongside this, the role supports business partnerships work. This includes contributing to proposal decks and written materials and helping shape project ideas as businesses explore working with Hubbub. Partnerships are typically service- or project-based. Trusts & Foundations expertise is the priority, and Hubbub can support the postholder to develop experience in business partnerships over time.
As Development Manager, you will:
- Contribute to delivery against Hubbub’s annual team fundraising target, securing mainly restricted Trusts & Foundations income for specific projects, roles and the scaling of proven work.
- Grow the Trusts & Foundations pipeline, focusing primarily on new business and building relationships with both solicited and unsolicited prospects.
- Lead on prospect research to identify Trusts & Foundations that align with Hubbub’s priorities, programmes and way of working.
- Develop and write clear, well-targeted cases for support, working closely with Project Leads and Directors to shape fundable propositions.
- Write high-quality Trusts & Foundations bids and supporting materials, taking opportunities through to submission and reporting.
- Attend funder meetings and events as required, primarily in and around London.
- Support colleagues working on business partnerships, including contributing to proposal decks and written materials for service- and project-based partnerships that typically run for three to twenty-four months.
- Stay informed about environmental and philanthropic trends, using this insight to connect funder interests with Hubbub’s work and strategic objectives.
Person specification
Essential
- A strong track record in Trusts & Foundations fundraising, with experience personally securing high five-figure and low six-figure grants (including new business, renewals and uplifts). Examples should be clearly evidenced on your CV.
- Full-cycle experience across Trusts & Foundations fundraising, from research and cultivation through to solicitation, reporting and ongoing relationship management.
- Confidence building new funder relationships from scratch, alongside stewarding existing ones, both in person and remotely.
- Demonstrable experience researching, prioritising and converting Trusts & Foundations prospects into secured funding.
- Proven ability to develop compelling, funder-specific cases for support that respond clearly to funding criteria.
- A collaborative working style, with experience working across teams and seniority levels to deliver high-quality bids to deadline.
Desirable
- Some experience of business partnership fundraising, or a clear interest in developing skills in this area alongside core Trusts & Foundations work.

The charity is looking for an experienced fundraiser to lead the team across a period of maternity leave. The Individual Giving team look after donors across philanthropy, corporate, members and legators. Internally this role is called the Head of Individual Giving, the job title has been amended for this selection process to reflect the broader remit of the role beyond regular donors.
The post holder will, in conjunction with the Director of Development, set and embed Scottish Operas Individual Giving strategy and will personally solicit gifts and steward key donors, whilst supporting and overseeing the work of the Individual Giving team.
There are some fantastic projects in the works that Scottish Opera can use to engage donors, and there is brilliant internal buy in and understanding of fundraising. Income performance is strong, so there are solid foundations from which to test and trial new ideas.
This role has wide ranging appeal. The Role
We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Director of Finance to provide strategic leadership of all financial functions of the FMDM Foundation CIO and the wider Congregation.
Reporting to the General Bursar and working closely with the Congregational Leadership Team (CLT) and Trustees, this is a senior and influential role with responsibility for ensuring long-term financial sustainability, robust governance, and compliance with Canon Law, Charity Law, and financial best practice.
The post-holder will play a vital role in enabling the Congregation’s mission and global activities to flourish through sound financial stewardship, effective risk management, and collaborative leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic and operational leadership of finance and business administration
- Oversee budgets, management accounts, audits, payroll, and statutory reporting
- Advise Trustees and CLT on financial viability, risk, and forward planning
- Ensure compliance with Charity Commission requirements, SORP, Canon Law, Charity Law and Civil Law
- Lead and inspire the Finance Team, supporting professional development and change
- Manage property, assets, investments, and external professional relationships
- Work collaboratively with international FMDM leaders and bursars
- Attend Trustee Board, Committee, and CLT meetings, providing high-quality financial reports
About You
You will be a senior finance professional who combines technical excellence with integrity, discretion, and a collaborative leadership style. You will be comfortable working in a faith-based, values-led environment and committed to supporting the mission and ethos of a religious charitable organisation.
Essential requirements include:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) qualification
- Senior-level experience in charity or not-for-profit finance and governance
- Proven experience of budgeting, management accounts, audit, and strategic planning
- Experience reporting to Boards of Trustees
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- High levels of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail
- An understanding of the ethos of the Catholic Church in a professional context
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel overseas to countries in which the FMDMs are present, should the need arise
Desirable experience includes:
- Experience within international or religious organisations
- Knowledge of charity property matters and investment oversight
- Familiarity with charity-specific financial reporting (SORP)

Who We're Looking For
You're an experienced commercial professional with a proven track record of generating revenue through partnerships, training programmes, or business development. You might come from membership organisations, professional bodies, charities, education or healthcare settings, or from B2B commercial roles with clear transferable skills.
You have the entrepreneurial confidence to build something new, the strategic thinking to identify opportunities, and the relationship skills to turn those opportunities into sustainable partnerships. You're equally comfortable developing pricing models and financial projections as you are crafting compelling partnership proposals.
Most importantly, you understand that commercial success and charitable purpose aren't opposing forces – they're complementary. You want your commercial expertise to strengthen a charity's capacity to serve its members and achieve its mission.

The Director of Strategy is a key player in our leadership team, helping to shape the business and strategic direction of the NT. You will be the primary support for the Executive Director and Co-CEO and will also work closely with the Director and Co-CEO and wider Executive Committee to connect across the organisation to keep all areas aligned.

The successful candidates will have the following:
- Excellent communicator and effective collaborator with demonstrable experience of working in a strategic and project-based role, with exposure to Board and governance activity in a large organisation
- Experience of coaching and motivating teams with demonstrable experience of line managing and leading teams
- Excellent process-creation skills, with the ability to work with autonomy and flexibility, to safeguard sensitive and confidential information, and prioritise accordingly
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build effective relationships, with the ability to influence up, down, and across in a positive manner using tact and diplomacy
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills to deliver Executive-level briefs as required
