• Manage the Director’s diary, inbox, communications and meeting schedule
• Prepare agendas, briefings and presentations

This newly created role within St Luke's is supported by a generous grant from the Henry Smith Foundation to develop our wellbeing programmes over the next three years. The Associate Director will engage with dioceses and individual clergy as they explore and embed our wellbeing programmes. 

The post holder will represent St Luke's and our Christian ethos within senior diocesan teams and help shape and deliver our strategic vision for flourishing clergy. This role will support the advancing clergy reflection programme and support dioceses, other networks and communities and Theological Educational Institutions in establishing wellbeing practices.

The role is home based with travel around the UK as required. There will be a requirement to be in London at least once a month for team meetings.

The role

We are excited to be recruiting for a Director of Finance and Resources to be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the financial management and HR functions within the Charity.  Working closely with the CEO as a member of the Executive team, the post holder will act as a strategic advisor to the Trustee board.

Key elements of the role will include:

• Leading the financial planning, cashflow management, budgeting and cost control for the charity. Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure timely financial reporting is completed including monthly management accounts and forecasts.
• Responsibility for the production of the annual Financial Statements and Trustee Annual Report.
• Acting as an advisor and coach to senior staff to support and improve financial literacy and decision making whilst leading the annual budgeting and business cycle.
• Providing effective leadership, direction and training to the Finance and HR teams, ensuring that Finance and HR strategies align with the overall business strategy.
• Oversee HR operations, developing and implementing people strategies and ensuring compliance with employment law.

The candidate we are looking for will have proven experience in a senior level finance role, preferably within the voluntary sector.  They will also have experience of leading an HR team with a proven ability to drive strategic HR initiatives.

Candidates should have excellent planning, communication and organisation skills and be able to effectively balance a substantial workload ranging from day-to-day tasks to strategic thinking.

• Strategic Direction: Lead PBI UK, representing it to external stakeholders, including funders, policymakers, collaborators and the legal community. The Clink Charity, founded in 2009, aims to prevent and reduce reoffending through training, rehabilitation and support. We deliver hospitality and horticulture training behind prison walls and in the community, creating an environment where students gain skills, confidence and qualifications to rebuild their lives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 General Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for financial management, including strategic planning, reporting, budgeting, systems and controls.

About the Role
As Clinical Director, you will:
• Lead and inspire our clinical team, ensuring excellence in service delivery
• Develop and implement our new five-year strategy in collaboration with the Operations
Director, the whole organisation, and Trustees
• Foster partnerships with local and regional organisations
• Oversee clinical governance, safeguarding, and quality assurance
• Support the development of trainees and supervise clinical staff
• Contribute to fundraising and community engagement efforts
• Represent the Centre externally and advocate for mental health and wellbeing

Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be:
• A qualified and accredited counsellor or psychotherapist (BACP, UKCP or equivalent)
• Experienced in clinical practice, with 7–10 years’ post-qualification experience
• An experienced supervisor
• Experienced in leading clinical teams and managing services
• Skilled in partnership working and stakeholder engagement
• Strategic, compassionate, and values-driven
• Confident in governance, risk management, and safeguarding
• Passionate about equity, inclusion, and access to mental health support
• Experience in a charity or third-sector setting is desirable, but not essential.

We’re looking for a Programme Director to lead the design and delivery of high-impact programmes that respond to local priorities and make a real difference.

Working closely with partners, funders and stakeholders, you’ll shape innovative approaches to complex social challenges, amplifying community voices and championing the role of the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in influencing systems, policy and practice.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead, motivate and develop the fundraising team, taking overall responsibility for meeting organisational income targets.

We’re now seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Operations Director to help drive this momentum – leading the way in reimagining how we work to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and embedding a culture of shared  leadership, continuous learning, and improvement. 

You will be a natural collaborator and a strong communicator, able to build trusted relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders alike. In this role, you’ll ensure that our operations run smoothly and effectively – aligningsystems and processes with our strategic goals while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. 

You’ll provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across our core functions, including: 

• Finance 

• Human resources 

• Digital and communications 

• Risk and compliance 

As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll work closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees, partners, and colleagues to bring our vision to life, drive forward our strategic priorities, and foster a working culture where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work. 

Please note that this role can be offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. As an organisation rooted in community, we believe that regular in-office presence is important to foster collaboration, connection and team cohesion. The role is part-time (28 hours per week), and these hours can be worked over four or five days, depending on your preference
