We are recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with managers and heads of department on all people matters in specific areas of the charity.  

What does this job do?
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, the successful candidate will:

• build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in specific areas within the charity, acting as a trusted partner for HR related advice.  
• develop a thorough understanding of partnered areas including departmental objectives, role and team structures, and key people issues. 
• provide tailored HR advice and guidance, using metrics and data to spot trends and identify risks and areas of opportunity. 
• manage informal and formal employee relations cases to successful resolution
• work closely with specialist teams in HR to improve people practices.

We currently have two opportunities available in the team:

• a full time, permanent position based at a rehoming centre in the South of England with frequent travel across the region (Basildon, Cardiff/Bridgend, Canterbury, Evesham, Harefield, Ilfracombe, Newbury, Salisbury, Shoreham-by-Sea, Shrewsbury, Snetterton),
• a fixed term contract until February 2027 (both part-time and full-time applications considered) based in the London office, predominantly London based teams, but with some travel.

First stage interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for 5th and 6th March 2026 on Teams, with second stage interviews taking place the following week at our London office.

Could this be you?
Ideally qualified to CIPD level 7 (or with equivalent experience), you will have previously worked in a similar role and will have a proven track record of resolving key people issues through a thorough understanding of departmental activities, and tailoring advice to managers.  You will have significant experience in successfully resolving a wide variety of complex ER issues with the ability to build and maintain strong partner relationships, as well as also the ability to communicate complex and sensitive information to diverse audiences.

Title: Group Programme and Events Lead

Reports to:  Associate Director of Business and Operations  

Based: Remotely – however must travel as and when required to meetings and events.

Main responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, attend and execute charity programmes and events.

Person specification:

- Experience in planning, organising, and executing marketing of programmes and events

To enable Operation Smile’s global surgical activities, OSUK’s Partnerships Team works to maximise high-potential income channels such as corporate partnerships, major donors, community fundraisers and trusts and foundations.

We have an exciting position in our team for an experienced and ambitious trusts fundraiser. Working as part of the Partnership Team and line managing one Grants & Programmes Manager, the Senior Grants & Programmes Manager will secure critical income from new and existing trust and foundation donors through compelling pitches and excellent stewardship.

The position will build on existing multiyear relationships with donors giving at the six-figure level per year, aiming to grow their contributions, as well as making approaches to new prospects, working closely with the Director of Partnerships. The role is also the key liaison between OSUK and teams at Operation Smile Inc and in programme countries around the world, leading on donor reporting and sourcing programmatic information for new funding opportunities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Trust and Foundation Funding Development

• Ensure achievement of annual income target for trusts and foundations
• Take primary responsibility for managing the current pool of trust/foundation donors, to ensure their growth and longevity – strategic input into the growth of each relationship will be essential
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of new funding prospects, creating propositions/proposals and making approaches, working with the Director of Partnerships, with a focus on the highest value prospects (those worth six-figures per year plus)
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to donors and internal stakeholders
• Represent Operation Smile UK in global funding discussions, applying any global strategies to develop successful fundraising plans for the UK
• Lead on development and management of any trust/foundation cultivation events

Programmes Liaison

• Lead on interaction with global teams at Operation Smile Inc (US) and programme country teams around the world, regarding OSUK’s funding of programmes
• Identify funding opportunities for new prospects and existing donors, sourcing relevant programmatic and financial information
• Support the allocation of OSUK’s funds to a portfolio of programmes that best meet our donors’ interests, and work with colleagues internationally to reallocate funds when needed
• Monitor projects’ progress against KPIs and ensure donor reporting (programmatic and financial) is complete and timely, and meets donors’ needs and expectations

Additional Responsibilities

• Line-manage one Grants & Programmes Manager, supporting them to manage their own portfolio of new prospects and existing relationships, including small trusts mailings
• Create and maintain annual trusts and foundations income and expenditure budgets and business plans, including current donors and forecasting new business income

Additional Information

• 4 years’ experience in a trusts/foundations/institutional funding role
• We promote flexible and hybrid working, with 2 days per week in our London office in Battersea (nearest stations Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town). There will also be some UK travel for meetings, conferences and events.
• Some overseas travel required to visit projects and partner countries, a highlight of the role!

The Finance Officer will support the Director of Finance and Governance with key areas of responsibility around day to day financial administration and governance administration tasks. 

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper, who is confident managing day to day finances and administration, can work with little supervision and is able to manage workload to meet reporting

deadlines. This is a varied and hands on role, ideal for someone who enjoys making things run smoothly behind the scenes and takes pride in getting the details right.

 We’re looking for a Finance Manager with strong experience in financial management, analysis, and reporting to ensure our day-to-day finances and budgets run smoothly while supporting effective long-term decision-making. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with our volunteer Finance Director to ensure that we meet regulatory requirements and provide accurate information to our Board of trustees.

You will provide support and advise budget holders to help us achieve our vision of restoring nature on a grand scale in the West of England.

Tiphereth is a Camphill community in Edinburgh providing residential care and day services for adults with learning disabilities and autism. We are part of the wider Camphill movement, which emphasises intentional community living, meaningful work and shared life between people with and without support needs.

Our community brings together over 200 people with our members, staff, vocational co-worker and volunteers across residential homes, supported living services and vibrant day services. We operate craft workshops, horticulture programmes, a pop-up shop and participate in local markets. This new Director-level role is central to that ambition, leading our efforts to diversify income, build lasting supporter relationships and tell the story of our community to the wider world.

Role’s Primary Objective

The Fundraising (and associated marketing development) Manager is a senior leadership position, reporting directly to the CEO and sitting alongside other senior managers on the Senior Management Team. This is a newly created role with significant scope to shape Tiphereth's external engagement and income generation strategy.

In Year One, you will be hands-on across the full breadth of fundraising and marketing activity, building the infrastructure, strategy and relationships needed for long-term success. From Year Two onwards, you will have the opportunity to recruit and develop a small team covering marketing and communications, community fundraising, and grant and trust applications.

This role requires someone who can operate strategically whilst also delivering at pace. You will need to be equally comfortable presenting to the Board as you are drafting a grant application or stewarding a major donor. Above all, you will need to connect authentically with our ethos and be able to communicate the distinctive value of Camphill community life to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategy aligned with Tiphereth's Five-Year Plan and organisational values

• Work towards strategic income targets including a minimum £250,000 in major donor engagement over five years and increasing non-government income to 10% of total revenue

• Identify, develop and secure new fundraising opportunities to maximise income potential and expand Tiphereth's supporter base

• Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Board on fundraising trends, opportunities and risks

• Build business cases for capital projects and new initiatives requiring external funding

2. Major Gifts and Philanthropy

• Identify, cultivate and steward a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and family foundations with capacity to make transformative gifts

• Develop compelling cases for support and funding proposals for capital projects and programme development

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with donors, ensuring exceptional stewardship and regular impact reporting

• Support the CEO and trustees in their donor engagement activities, preparing briefings and facilitating introductions

• Maximise tax-efficient giving through Gift Aid and other mechanisms

3. Grants and Trusts

• Research and develop a pipeline of grant-making trusts and foundations aligned with Tiphereth's work

• Write and submit high-quality funding applications, working collaboratively with service managers to develop project proposals

• Maintain accurate records of applications, outcomes and reporting requirements

• Build relationships with programme officers and foundation staff to strengthen future applications

4. Marketing and Communications

• Lead the development and implementation of Tiphereth's marketing and communications strategy

• Oversee brand management, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all channels, including timely responses to donors and interested parties

• Develop engaging content including the Annual Impact Report, newsletters, social media and website

• Champion digital fundraising initiatives and enhance supporter journeys to improve engagement and retention

• Raise Tiphereth's profile through media engagement, events and participation in sector networks

5. Community Fundraising and Events

• Develop and grow community fundraising income including individual giving, regular giving and legacy programmes

• Plan and deliver fundraising events and supporter engagement activities that reflect Tiphereth's values

• Support and coordinate third-party fundraising by community supporters

• Explore corporate partnership opportunities aligned with our ethos

6. Team Development and Management

• Build the case for and recruit specialist roles in marketing, community fundraising and grant-writing as capacity grows (from Year Two)

• Lead, manage and develop team members, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture

• Manage budgets for fundraising and marketing activities, monitoring performance and return on investment

• Provide clear reporting on fundraising performance to the CEO and subsequently to the Board
