We’re looking for an experienced trainer to lead on the implementation and delivery of the Learning and Development framework issued by the House of Bishops.

• Be responsible for the organisation, implementation and delivery of the national safeguarding learning and development framework  
• Provide high quality face to face and online training to office holders (Clergy, Readers, those with Permission to Officiate), employees and volunteers in the Diocese of Coventry.

• Assist in supporting a small team of volunteer trainers capable of delivering training within the Diocese of Coventry.

• In conjunction with the DSA, undertake continual evaluation, review and monitoring of the learning and development framework and other training materials so that they are kept up-to-date with new legislation, guidelines and best practice in safeguarding.

• In liaison with the DSA/ADSA, respond to and act upon requests for advice, information and guidance from individuals in the church who are concerned about the welfare of a child or adult at risk of harm.

The post holder is an employee of the Diocesan Board of Finance (DBF) and is line managed by the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor.

The Operations Manager is responsible for Dose of Nature’s day-to-day operational management, providing a welcoming and efficient front face and ensuring organisational effectiveness to support the delivery of Dose of Nature’s strategic objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic team player to join our warm and friendly charity team on a full-time basis for a period of one year, with the possibility of a part-time position thereafter. Dose of Nature is in an exciting phase as we continue to receive greater funding to expand our reach. The nature of the job responsibilities may require occasional flexible hours, including some evening and weekend hours up to 6 times per year, or adjusted beginning and ending times, for example to support with monthly evening training sessions. 

Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature. We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription Programme is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature, and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing. Dose of Nature is a fun, supportive and lively organisation that encourages creativity and independence, as well as a strong sense of working together as a team. 

The role is 37.5 hours per week and will involve working at Pensford Field, Kew, Monday to Wednesday from 9am-5:30pm and from home Thursday and Friday 9-5:30pm.

Key responsibilities and duties 

• To oversee the smooth running of the studio and field, ensuring Dose of Nature’s operational systems, processes and policies are fit-for-purpose, compliant with current legal requirements and are maintained effectively and efficiently. 

• To be the initial point of contact for all enquiries, responding quickly and efficiently to requests for information and other enquiries from a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, volunteer guides and trustees, health professionals, supporters, media, and academic institutions. 

• To be the main point of contact for volunteer guides; leading all aspects of the recruitment and induction process with the support from our Senior Administrator; and providing guidance and support to existing guides – including management of the on-going training programme. 

• To manage the programme of regular group sessions – ensuring volunteer group leaders and participants have the support they need so the sessions run smoothly; ensuring volunteer group leaders and participants have the support they need so the sessions run smoothly; ensuring dedicated support is in place for each group and proactively managing the seasonal timetable.

• To manage communication and marketing materials, including maintenance of website, developing and updating printed materials including promotional leaflets, training booklets, and weekly timetable communication emails and bi-annual newsletters. Work with Senior Administrator to distribute regular communications and materials and to maintain a dynamic collection of digital copy including photos, videos and media footage. 

• To lead community relationship building for Dose of Nature, to include attending promotional and networking events from time to time. 

• To assist the Chief Executive in the implementation and continued development of the Growth Strategy, including providing regular updates to trustees. 

• To manage the internship and work experience programmes – overseeing recruitment, giving clear guidance on standards and day-to-day management support. 

• To ensure statutory compliance with Health and Safety legislation – conducting risk assessments, monitoring performance and reviewing procedures. 

• To plan and coordinate regular Dose of Nature community social events, including two half day events and monthly evening events and AGM. 

• To monitor monthly spend and budgets including payment of expenses and incoming donations.

Education: Educated to degree level or equivalent

The Door is a Christian youth charity based in Gloucestershire, established in 1991 for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families. The role

Key responsibilities as our Account Handler:

• Offering information, guidance and quotes to existing clients in respect of their insurance needs
• Cross-selling and up-selling relevant products to existing clients
• Offering information, guidance and quotes to prospects in respect of their insurance needs and converting these to clients
• Achieving targets set in respect of existing client revenue retention, new business growth and lead generation and other key performance indicators
• Administration of policies in line with the objectives of accuracy, speed and completeness, deal with all policy and client queries and achieve prompt and appropriate solutions
• Collection of premiums income in line with Unity policies
• Working as an effective member of Unity staff
• Complying with all business and office procedures and FCA rules
• Pro-actively review all insurance procedures in use and suggest continual improvements as part of Treating Customers Fairly initiatives
• Processing and handling of claims for clients

The Role:

As a Compliance Standards Lead, you will play an essential role in defining and establishing standards for assessment associates and centres. You will also collaborate with industry experts to create clear, comprehensive standards that reflect best practices and meet industry requirements.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of training and development plans for centres and associates.
• Provide accurate advice and support to ensure compliance with standards.
• Oversee compliance policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
• Monitor associate performance and implement performance management processes.
• Contribute to qualification development and approval processes.

Requirements:

• Experience of assessment or qualification development and review.
• Knowledge of awarding body and regulatory structures.
• Experience of external quality assurance processes and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and prioritisation skills.
• High levels of personal organisation, diligence, and integrity.

Additional Information:

• This role requires travel between offices and nationally, so a driving licence is essential.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining exceptional and credible relationships.
• Dealing with any concerns or complaints.

• Responsible for sourcing and co-ordinating briefings and data.
• Responsible for the delivery and coordination of events and development activities for the director's leadership team and the wider directorate.
• Responsible for providing support to the Director on both organisational and directorate-wide projects,
• Responsible for coordinating recruitment for senior roles (Executive Leadership Team, Senior Leadership Team, Head's of, Board)
• Manage the processing of payments of any contracts/services.
• Working in collaboration with Business Managers, other Executive Assistants and Associate Directors, Personal Assistants.
   

What you'll need to succeed
 

• Networking and making contact - The most essential things the EA will do for our Director of People are the… "Can you just find… can you just ask…. Can you just grab x person?" We are looking for a confident person, who's not shy about contacting the people they need, and chasing up actions.
• Some experience of HR - The Director of People gets 60-80+ emails a day, so you need to be able to spot the urgent things they need to see, and - with a bit of guidance - what can be delegated to other people.
• Able to manage EA basics standing on their head! (Not literally) but standard practice like, managing an inbox, perfectly organised diary, travel, expenses, invoices and more!

Having been through a period of growth, our small team is expanding! You will lead on content for our website, newsletter and social media channels, helping us to reach new audiences and translate complex ideas into accessible and engaging short videos, infographics and other images.

We are happy to consider flexible working arrangements and invite job share applications. Some out of hours working will be required for which TOIL will be given.

Location: Hybrid London / remote.  The postholder must be resident in the UK with the right to work in the UK. Office is in Vauxhall, London. Post can be worked as office based or a mixture of office/remote working with at least two days per week in the office.

Duration: 18 month contract with potential to extend subject to funding.

Salary: £36,288 pro-rata (£29,030 for 30 hours) plus 5% pension contributions.

Line management: Reports to the Head of Communications and Public Affairs
