Senior High Value Fundraising Manager

Salary: up to £51,176 (depending on experience) 

Location: Remote with regular travel to London / Downton

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior High Value Fundraising Manager to join our Relationship Fundraising team at Help for Heroes. This senior role will shape and lead one of our most strategically important income streams—ensuring we continue delivering life-changing support for veterans and their families.

This senior role is perfect for a confident relationship fundraiser with experience securing major gifts, running high-value campaigns, and delivering impactful special events.

You’ll lead the development and delivery of our high-value giving strategy delivering in excess of £1.2m over the next 12 months, including the £17m No One Left Behind campaign, major donor income, and a new 3-year Special Events strategy. With responsibility for a talented team, you’ll build a strong major donor pipeline, secure 5- and 6-figure gifts, and deliver exceptional supporter experiences.

You’ll collaborate across the organisation to shape compelling proposals, develop high-value communications, support our 20th anniversary plans, and ensure strong financial management and reporting.

As a senior leader, you will inspire, coach and develop your team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence and innovation.

About You

We’re looking for a strategic and inspirational leader with:

• Proven experience securing large (6-figure+) gifts from HNWIs
• Successful delivery of multi-million-pound campaigns or major donor programmes
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• Strong event leadership experience in income-generating and stewardship events

Our client is the UK's only theatre company and participatory arts charity focused on addiction. This charity develops, nurtures and produces new writing and performances connected to substance misuse, touring to off-West End venues, festivals, treatment facilities and other civic spaces. Senior Development Manager

Full time, 40 hours per week (open to part time, flexible working and job share)

Hybrid working (office based in E1 5HU)

£40,000-£45,000 per annum

This is a newly created role, which will help take the charity's fundraising to the next level. The new Senior Development Manager will grow existing income (trusts, foundations and statutory) and develop newer income streams (individual giving and corporate partnerships). Supported by the charity's Artistic Director/CEO and an expert Development Subcommittee, the Senior Development Manager will lead on the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy, securing five- and six-figure gifts and working towards an ambition to raise around £300,000 per year within the first two years. The role also includes oversight of regular supporter communications (including a monthly newsletter) and the use of tools such as Salesforce and Mailchimp, while keeping up to date with fundraising compliance, policy and sector trends.

To be successful, you will bring substantial experience of delivering significant fundraising targets in a charitable, arts or cultural setting, and a strong track record of generating income from at least one of the income streams mentioned above. Shieldfield Art Works (SAW) is a project of the Methodist Church in Newcastle upon Tyne which is seeking the wellbeing of the city through creative practice. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic individual to build up Shieldfield Art Work’s fundraising programme and contribute to our strategy. This is a vital part of our work as we seek to become more sustainable and resilient in an ever challenging climate. 

Our ideal candidate will have good experience in developing and implementing a robust fundraising strategy in order to take the strategic fundraising work of our community arts hub into a new chapter. You will also be able to articulate your active Christian faith, be able to explain SAW's Christian ministry and show ability to be able to write for both Christian and secular funders with different priorties.

You will need to be self-motivated and confident in your expertise. The role is suitable for candidates who are experienced in larger and multi-year applications to trusts and foundations (ideally in the cultural sector), developing individual giving campaigns and CSR channels, cultivating donor relationships and a good storyteller, to tell the story of and champion SAW. We are a team of artists who support others to be creative, and use our creativity to support others. Within this, the Philanthropy and Partnerships Department brings together high-value audiences and supporter-led income. The Volunteer Board Fundraising team leads income generation through regional and national volunteer boards, volunteer-led fundraising initiatives and delivery of special events through our high value event committees. Person specification

1. Experience of building effective relationships through face to face interactions with existing and new high-level individuals and/or organisations, leading to securing fundraising income via long-term partnerships.

2. Commercially minded; ability to apply commercial knowledge and understanding to fundraising partnerships ensuring that NSPCC activity has a competitive edge in the market place. NSPCC fundraising activity must be appealing and commercially viable.

3. Exceptional project management skills; ability to see a project through from start to finish, reaching a desired income target. Must have meticulous planning skills and show great attention to detail. Must be self-motivated and highly proactive.

4. Target driven with proven financial management and reporting skills, including accurate budgeting and contingency planning.  A track record of achieving financial and departmental objectives. 

5. Knowledge of corporate social responsibility and individual philanthropic motivations and current trends in high value and corporate fundraising across the UK.

6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to deliver fundraising pitches, ideas and project updates to a range of audiences in a clear, inspiring and confident way.

7. Able to work harmoniously with internal colleagues across teams to achieve joint objectives. Working collaboratively; demonstrating an understanding of other team’s goals and priorities. Able to negotiate successfully with others to achieve a desired outcome.

8. Ability to organise and plan own work, juggle competing demands, manage projects and establish clear timelines and priorities in order to meet agreed objectives.

10. Experience of a fundraising CRM package is desirable but not essential; training provided.

The Head of Corporate Partnerships sits within the senior team of a newly established High Value Partnerships & Campaign Department, which has huge ambition to transform high value income for the organisation over the next 5 years.  

We’re looking for an inspiring team leader and partnerships expert who thrives in maximising big-brand partnerships, strategic influence and embedding new ways of working. The year ahead is a significant one and the Head of Corporate Partnerships will play a key role in strengthening and stabilising BAU income while ensuring the team is set up for long-term success. 

You will lead a team of 4, ensuring exceptional account management across a portfolio of key high-value and multiple long-standing partnerships (including M&S, ghd, Primark and Tombola), and empowering them to identify opportunities for further partnership development.  You will also work closely with colleagues in the new business team, ensuring the smooth transition and onboarding of any new partners. 

As a senior leader, your focus will be on strategy, influence and empowering the team over day-to-day partnership management, but you will retain core senior stakeholder relationships (internally and externally) as necessary. 

As Head of Corporate Partnerships you will:

• Strategically lead a team of 4, ensuring they feel empowered and confident to take ownership of their portfolios and identify opportunities for further partnership development; 
• Refine and deliver long-term growth and retention strategies for the partnership portfolio, maximising income potential across a variety of partnership types;
• Further shape and refine new ways of working for the team, strengthening processes to enable long-term success;
• Ensure internal briefings and insight sharing are high-quality, providing key partnership information ahead of meetings and events; 
• Champion integrated partnership working across the charity, ensuring external-facing teams are aligned and able to amplify partner activity in line with organisational priorities. 

The role would best suit:

• A senior fundraiser with robust experience of corporate partnerships, account management and strategic relationship development;
• An individual with a track record of managing high-value, multi-faceted partnerships of £500k+;
• Someone with broad partnership expertise who brings an understanding of a variety of partnership models and understanding of the associated legal requirements;
• An individual with expertise of managing complex budgets;
• A collaborative team leader, keen to empower your team, celebrate success and enable a culture of collaboration and shared learning.

The Berkshire MS Therapy Centre (BMSTC)-  who we are:

Our mission is "to support the physical health and mental wellbeing of local people living with Multiple Sclerosis", not just now but for the rest of their lives.

Our purpose-built Therapy Centre in Reading serves and strengthens the MS community across Berkshire and adjoining counties. We are a self-funded charity with no NHS or central government support and must raise £700,000 each year to operate. We were therefore thrilled recently to receive a King's Award for Voluntary Service, equivalent to an MBE, in recognition of our service to the community.

We provide practical help - including neuro-physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, footcare, counselling and a range of complementary therapies to help manage symptoms. King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity is entering a pivotal new chapter as it becomes an independent NHS charity, with a clear three-year strategic plan and ambitious plans to grow its impact and income.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Head of Fundraising (Philanthropy and Partnerships) is a senior, hands-on role responsible for developing high-value fundraising to complement the Charity’s successful community fundraising and events programme. The role

The senior data & insights officer will report to the database manager.

Excellent use of and understanding of our data is crucial to the success of our fundraising activity. This role will support all elements of direct marketing and campaign work for the fundraising team. Using Raiser’s Edge (RE7/RENXT), the post holder will lead on complex data selections for integrated, multi-channel supporter communications, and present meaningful data analysis of fundraising activity. In addition, this role will make a significant contribution to the smooth running of our data processing, database operations, ensuring high quality data through accurate imports and data cleaning.

The team

Our dynamic fundraising department is preparing for an ambitious multimillion-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital. We pride ourselves on being a supporter focused and agile function, working at the heart of the charity to deliver impact for patients and staff across our hospitals.

Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises three teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:

• Our Public Fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges. Our database team and supporter care sit within Public Fundraising, with their work underpinning and supporting the entire department.

• Our Philanthropy and Campaigns team builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, and corporate organisations which give, or have the potential to give, £10,000 to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our exciting cancer campaign, which is due to launch in late 2026.
