The Role
Develop and deliver annual operational plans which meet the objectives of the strategic plan for your area
Oversee and manage the implementation of a developing and ambitious individual giving programme
Manage direct reports and teams responsible for individual/regular/in memory giving, community fundraising, supporter engagement, and trading income
Work in collaboration with the Head of Individual Giving, team members and other colleagues to launch and lead on new fundraising initiatives.
Manage income and expenditure budgets.
The Candidate
Significant experience of delivering fundraising work plans to achieve against set income targets across all areas of responsibility
Significant experience of effective line-management and of managing fundraising teams and delivering work plans
Experience of donor audiences, supporter journeys and fundraising programme insight to take an audience-led approach to delivering fundraising campaigns
Experience of digital and direct marketing strategy to improve engagement and deliver income targets

About the Role
This pivotal role will manage, and coordinate inspections and remedial works related to gas, electrical safety, water hygiene, asbestos, fire safety, and lifts. From your UK home-base you’ll be flying the flag for the charity outside of Wales as a Fundraiser. You’ll put on quality fundraising events and build strong relationships through our reputation and Welsh links making a difference when it comes to people with cancer.

The details
Working 28 hours per week flexibly you’ll need a UK work base. The salary is £29,600 (or £37,000 FTE)
Days and hours can be built in and around our standard operating week as set out in our staff benefits. We’re open to making the working week fit into your own lifestyle and the nature and needs of this type of Fundraising role. With a lot of autonomy in where you run events to meet your annual target there may need to be some travel to a city/location where you’re generating the income or some events you run may be in evenings or weekends.
Around going to work events for the role the rest of the job can be done from home anywhere in the UK. Our Cardiff City Centre Head Office is always available to you too. Most Team meetings and day to day colleague work is handled remotely but we’d expect to see you in the office for things such as our quarterly team meetings.

About the role:
This role will take the lead in seeking out new opportunities for growth across our membership, including acquisition and retention and will be responsible for developing and implementing new initiatives to reach ambitious targets, as well as ensuring our existing members receive an excellent level of customer service.
