About the role

We’re looking for a customer focused, curious and resilient Complaints Resolution Partner to join our busy Complaints team. This is a role where you can genuinely make a difference - supporting customers when things haven’t gone as expected and helping turn difficult moments into positive outcomes.

You’ll investigate issues thoroughly, working closely with contractors and internal teams to understand what happened. Your clear, well written responses will reflect empathy, accuracy and professionalism, helping customers feel heard and supported.

Salary

The spot salary for the Complaints Resolution Partner post is £30,878 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you’re still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.

About you

• You'll have extensive complaint handling experience in a regulated environment, dealing with stage 1 and/or stage 2 complaints including the awareness of the regulations set out by an Ombudsman.
• You'll also have exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to listen attentively, empathise with customers, and respond impartially.

Carrying out holistic assessments of new customers which incorporate relevant statutory referral information

BoB exists to help people at all stages in their lives to overcome the harm caused by their drug or alcohol use. It does this by combatting loneliness, overcoming stigma, introducing people to positive friendship groups, and providing activities that people find meaningful.

Job purpose:

This is a creative opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference with one of the country’s leading Lived Experience Recovery Organisations for individuals who have or have had a substance use disorder.

The Innovation, Development Fundraising Manager is a new role within the charity. The purpose of this position is to work with the Senior Leadership Team and other staff members to:

· Help develop and fund new activities in our existing services.

· Through the development and modelling of pilot projects, help the SLT with the implementation of our three-year strategy and seek funding through trust and grant foundations for the delivery of the above.

· Collaborate with the Chief Executive to identify and apply for new funding streams that support the work and growth of the charity and build on our current service delivery.

You will seek to develop and diversify the base of supporters and to achieve fundraising targets working with the CEO and SLT, supported by the board of trustees. We want to continue with our local services contracted income but also to develop other income streams, expand our supporter networks and build our sustainability for the future.

The successful candidate will also develop and maintain appropriate relationships with trusts, foundations and their representatives, ensuring the highest quality of stewardship and cultivation of a proactive relationship-based approach to seeking new funding opportunities.

Working as part of a small leadership team and, reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll capitalise on our success in partnering with some large addiction treatment providers. These have delivered innovative approaches to recovery across London.

With this backdrop, we will look to you to develop and deliver successful plans to diversify and optimise our income as well as developing the tools, processes and internal expertise to ensure sustainability.

The post holder would have the opportunity of working with a passionate, dedicated small central team, with a positive team spirit. There is a high level of commitment to developing this new area of income generation from management and trustees providing the post holder with the opportunity to excel and meet strategic targets. 

Responsibilities and main duties:

o Work closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees, and others in the leadership team to develop and spearhead delivery of a funding and financial plan that will enable delivery of our mission, strategy 2026-29 and delivering our financial strategic objectives.

o Proactively research and develop opportunities from trusts and foundations, developing a funding database and pipeline.

o Working with the CEO and service managers, initializing, and developing projects, producing compelling funding proposals and grant applications, initiating prospect meetings, and confidently pitching new funders to successfully convert prospects to funders or donors.

o Work with the leadership team and local service managers, and volunteers to fundraise local community support activity in the areas we operate in.

o Explore and test new fundraising approaches (such as events and corporate) to further grow and diversify income,

o Research and implement the introduction of a suitable CRM system to maintain accurate records of all fundraising activity (including contracted income), providing high quality reports to the leadership team, CEO and trustees, and to develop a data led approach to future fundraising.

o Manage and monitor ongoing funder reporting, ensuring that effective records of grant/funding bids and their conditions are kept and strictly adhered to by project leads, and that interim and end of project reporting is completed to a high standard, consulting with project leads where appropriate.

o Build and sustain strong relationships with a broad range of funding individuals and organizations, using a wide range of appropriate stewardship approaches to develop and retain their support for Build on Belief.

o Stay informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and ensure all fundraising activities are compliant with the Code of Fundraising Practice and all other statutory obligations, maintaining and communicating internal policies as appropriate.

o Actively instill an organizational culture of fundraising, ensuring that everyone in the organization, including our trustees, understands and contributes to our fundraising strategy.

o Develop a good working knowledge of the charity’s activities, our approaches to addiction and recovery and some of the wider evidence base to tackle addiction and dependency to represent BoB authoritatively to supporters and external audiences.

Experience

o Experience and proven record of soliciting, managing, and securing income from trusts and foundations, corporates, and/or major donors.

o Experience of developing successful grant applications and proposals for support to trusts and foundations.

o Digital fundraising fluency including experience of using and/or developing a CRM system to support fundraising activities and understanding of digital fundraising approaches.

Knowledge

o Strong understanding of the current UK charitable funding landscape including excellent knowledge of charitable grant giving organizations.

o Knowledge of fundraising best practices, regulation, and policies.

Skills and personal attributes

o An outstanding written communicator with the ability to absorb and synthesize complex information and translate this into compelling written cases for support.

o Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to relate to, influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

You’ll be a visible presence in your patch, ensuring the effective management and maintenance of tenancies. Moving into a new home is an exciting life experience and your role will have a positive influence on our customer journey from the moment we onboard new tenants.

Sometimes things don’t always go to plan, so you’ll also support customers to manage their rent accounts (including taking cases to court as a last resort), manage anti-social behaviour utilising a multi-agency approach as required, resolve customer complaints effectively and use appropriate legal remedies to ensure tenancies are ended efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements when necessary.

Salary

The Housing Partner (Housing Officer) role offers a salary of£36,162 per annum for candidates who fully meet the role requirements.

If you're still developing in some areas, we’ll support your growth with a starting salary just 5% or 10% below the spot rate, depending on experience.

You’ll also receive an essential user car allowance starting from £1,250 per annum plus milage for travel around your patch - helping you stay mobile while making a difference in your community.

About you

You’ll need experience in delivering housing management services, plus an understanding of tenancy and neighbourhood management. It would be ideal if you have a CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing - or you’d be willing to work towards it. You’ll bring a proven track record in managing anti-social behaviour, as well as a strong knowledge of rent collection processes and legal frameworks around income recovery. As you’ll be travelling across our Accent sites and estates, you’ll need a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
The successful candidate will undergo a DBS check as part of the pre-employment checks.

YMCA  works to prevent and disrupt the sexual exploitation of children and young people aged 5-25 across East Sussex, Brighton and Hove, and Surrey.

We are a specialist team of passionate, dedicated professionals who support each other to work in this challenging area.

We deliver trauma informed, consent-based work with young people, schools, statutory services and Sussex Police. The WiSE SOLAH ("safer online at home") project focuses on one-to-one interventions as well as group work, training for professionals and creation of resources to challenge the risk presented from the online space.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the WiSE team as a Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Practitioner - SOLAH. We are looking for someone who is passionate about safeguarding children and young people, working creatively around promoting healthy relationships, online safety whilst creating safe spaces for children and young people to be heard.

You will provide early intervention support to children and young people 5-25 years who have been identified as being at risk of sexual or criminal exploitation.

Working primarily across Rye, Eastbourne, Robertsbridge and Hastings, you will support children and young people to stay safe online and within their communities by providing consultation, guidance and professional support to those working directly with individuals at risk of exploitation. As the role involves travel across East Sussex, you will ideally need access to a car and the ability to drive. Your work will include exploring key topics with young people such as risk, healthy and unhealthy relationships, sex and consent, negotiation and assertiveness, protective behaviours, personal boundaries, harmful sexual behaviours, gender identities, and concepts of masculinity.

Key responsibilities are:

• Manage a caseload of vulnerable young people and supporting them to stay safe and leave the influence of perpetrators
• Work with other professionals to deliver tailored care packages and provide consultation
•  Maintain accurate case records and contributing to timely reports
•  Liaise with Children’s Services, Sussex Police and other agencies to disrupt abuse and support prosecutions
• Deliver training and awareness-raising workshops to professionals and foster carers
• Contribute to strategic development and deputising at relevant meetings

This is a challenging role where children and young people do not always identify the level of risk they are exposed to or the abusive nature of the relationships they are in. The support of victims can be distressing and emotionally demanding for the workers, consequently 1-to-1 clinical supervision, weekly team meetings and regular line management supervision of cases and wellbeing.

The post holder will support children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence and plan and provide stimulating, safe, and appropriate play opportunities.

Please note that post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
