We are seeking a Senior Communications Manager to join our busy Communications team and contribute towards the organisation’s external communications efforts. Reporting to the Global Director of Communications, this is an incredible opportunity to land a senior role in a fast-growing corporate Foundation working on some of the world’s most pressing issues.
About You
As Senior Communications Manager at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will:

Lead on the planning and execution of impactful and strategic communications campaigns for key initiatives arising from the Foundation’s core thematic areas of work

Act as the Communications lead for one of the Foundation’s thematic focus areas, establishing and leading on delivery of an annual comms workplan to support its core objectives

Develop and lead content partnerships, strengthening and diversifying partners and overseeing deliverables for key Foundation initiatives

Represent the Foundation at external meetings and on calls with partners and donors when needed, and build relationships with their relevant comms teams

Provide support to the Senior Leadership Team in the form of speeches, briefings and talking points for external speaking engagements

Support the wider organisation’s external communication needs; identify content to be promoted, set strategic objectives and devise creative distribution plans using data-driven learnings where appropriate, collaborating on design, audience and social media strategies

Devise press outreach and liaison strategies as and when required

Write and edit a wide variety of internal and external communications materials that may include opinion editorials, content for social and digital platforms, press releases, newsletters, the Foundation’s annual report, and various other documents promoting the organisation’s work

Support on the communications activities around key Foundation events including Trust Conference, ensuring consistency in quality

Provide guidance and feedback where appropriate for more junior members of the Communications Team
About the Role
To be our Senior Communications Manager, you will likely:

Have proven experience working in a communications capacity, ideally for an international organisation or a fast-paced industry

About the role
The Head of Fundraising and Communications will lead the development and delivery of a systematic, data-driven, and project-managed approach to fundraising and communications — driving sustainable income growth and raising the charity’s profile and influence.
This role is first and foremost a fundraising leadership role. As the charity’s strategic lead for fundraising, they will shape and expand our income streams, strengthen systems and processes, and build a high-performing team to help us reach more young people with our vital work. They will also lead on external communications and storytelling, ensuring our narrative is compelling, consistent, and rooted in the powerful impact of our programmes.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all fundraising activity, ensuring a systematic and dependable approach to income generation.

About the role
This is a senior leadership role within Centrepoint’s Relationship Fundraising team and a key driver of our future growth.
Following four years of sustained success, our philanthropy programme now generates over £1.3m per year, with a clear ambition to double income over the next three years. This role has been created to lead that next phase of growth.
You’ll lead the Philanthropy team, developing and delivering a clear strategy to grow and diversify our high-value donor portfolio. Alongside line managing and developing a team of Philanthropy Managers, you’ll personally steward and secure transformational gifts, including six-figure donations and multi-year commitments, while working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
This role plays a critical part in delivering Centrepoint’s mission to end youth homelessness by 2037.
Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model
The current requirement is a minimum of two days per week in the office, increasing to 50% of your working week from 1 July 2025. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g. two days one week and three days the next).
