Based at the 999 club in Deptford, a safe and welcoming space for those experiencing homelessness Move+ is the latest of the 999 club’s service offerings which also include a drop-in day centre, employment & training support, advocacy & advice, a women’s space and the Bridge, our evening service for people in mental health crisis.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge service within the sector. The overall aim of Move+ is to enable people who have been homeless to draw upon their shared experiences and support one another to escape homelessness for good. Move+ empowers people to live independently, to set up and maintain a stable home, while working towards long-term goals and aspirations enabling them to move forwards with their lives. This is achieved through a combination of peer coaching, personalised support and an exclusive program of workshops and activities.

Working closely with the Coproduction Manager as part of the Specialist Services team, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of Move+. This includes line management of a team of Peer Coaches, focusing on support, personal and professional development. You will conduct assessments and manage referrals, build and maintain relationships, as well as promote the service, both internally and externally. The LSO Development department is looking for a knowledgeable and self-motivated individual to join our team as Trusts & Foundations Officer at an exciting time in the LSO’s history. Reporting to the Trusts & Foundations Manager, the role will primarily work within the Trusts and Foundations team to establish and maintain relationships with grant-giving bodies to help meet and grow income targets. These grants support a range of LSO activities, including projects within our pioneering learning and engagement programme, LSO Discovery; our exciting artistic season at the Barbican Centre; international tours; new commissions for the LSO and recordings produced by our record label LSO Live.
 

About you

Experience in fundraising from trusts, foundations and other grant-giving bodies is essential for this role, alongside strong communication skills, high attention to detail and a passion for creating concise and compelling written copy.  An interest in orchestral/classical music is desirable.

The Trusts & Foundations Officer will also support the wider fundraising of the Department, helping to steward current and potential supporters at concerts, special events, and LSO Discovery projects taking place across east London.

We require a Social Worker to provide high quality social work in our schools across the Diocese of Salford according to each school’s formal agreement.

You will work directly with children and young people, their parents, carers and schools in order to further the child’s welfare and provide the interventions necessary to enable them to use their learning opportunities to the full. You must be able to provide a non-judgemental, caring and confidential environment throughout this work to ensure the issues are addressed in an appropriate manner for all those involved.

To apply you will have experience of working with children and families and experience of direct work with children which includes supporting school staff with safeguarding. You must have competent IT skills which includes providing regular reports to the individual schools and Caritas and feedback to school staff as required. You must be able to maintain appropriate resources, databases and case files as well as maintain efficient and comprehensive referral and recording systems.

Registered social worker status with Social Work England (SWE) is essential and the salary includes accrued annual leave.

Our Fellowship Officer is responsible for the annual election process that elects the new Fellows each year and for managing relationships with those Fellows once elected.

In this role, you would follow governance processes and guidelines to ensure transparency and fairness of a rigorous process whilst also identifying opportunities to improve and develop it each year. You would develop strong working relationships with Fellows who are key stakeholders across Wales’ political, public and academic life. Working alongside the Strategic Engagement Manager, you would also support ways to improve our engagement with Fellows and involve them in our work.

About the role:

As the Assessment Design and Outcomes Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in preparing, producing, and publishing assessment materials. Collaborating closely with the Deputy Head of Assessment Design and Outcomes (DHADO) and the Head of Assessment Design and Outcomes (HADO), you'll ensure all assessments meet the highest quality and brand standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance
  • Work across portfolios as the quality lead, proofreading and ensuring consistency across projects.
  • Assist with the transition to a new assessment platform, ensuring migrated content is correct.
  • Perform general quality checks of exam papers and question banks.
• Coordination / Organisation
  • Assist the team in coordinating their work schedule by implementing new tools, programs and processes.
  • Remind team members of upcoming deadlines and reallocate tasks to meet these as necessary.
• Panel Work
  • Participate in awarding and paper evaluation panel meetings
  • Prepare and distribute agendas to panel members.
  • Take notes, track actions and make real-time amendments during panel meetings.

Skills / experience required:

• Background in higher education exams or assessments, or experience in an awarding body in a similar role.
• Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure and work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent administrative, organisational, and time management skills.
• Experience in writing, proofreading, and editing content for diverse audiences.
• Strong proficiency in MS SharePoint, OneDrive, and PowerPoint/Excel/Word.

Sightsavers is looking for a Production Editor to provide editorial support and guidance for Sightsavers projects briefed in from around the organisation, including copy editing, commissioning and writing.

Location: UK remote - hybrid working, predominantly home-based with multiple office-based days each month in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

Contract: Permanent.

Hours: This is a full-time role with some flexibility around hours worked.

About the role

As production editor, you’ll write, edit and proofread content for Sightsavers’ printed brochures, documents and reports, as well as oversee editorial content for other projects produced by the web, design and branding team, including animations, videos and training materials. You’ll be tasked with editing copy from a range of sources to ensure it adheres to Sightsavers’ style guide, brand voice and accessibility guidelines.

For this varied role, we’re looking for someone who has the confidence to turn complex source material into engaging, compelling content. You’ll need a keen eye for detail, an excellent grasp of the English language and first-rate editing skills: the role would suit candidates with experience of sub-editing and proofreading, preferably in a high-quality print publishing environment. 

Job requirements:

• Proficiency in InDesign and Microsoft Office
• An understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities for people with disabilities
• The ability to work confidently with internal clients and stakeholders and eagerness to work as part of a close-knit team
• French language writing and editing skills would be beneficial
• Lived or cultural experience and fluency in the languages of any of the countries where we work would be very welcome
• Experience using Photoshop and Illustrator would also be an advantage
