Who will I support?

You will work with children and young people in Norfolk who may not be accessing education and may be at significant risk of entering specialist residential care.
 Your role will focus on helping them remain in their local communities, close to the people and places that matter most.

Every young person will benefit from tailored strategies and interventions to help them flourish in a safe, supportive environment. You will take time to understand each young person’s lived experience and support them, their families, carers and other professionals to learn and apply appropriate positive behaviour support techniques.

Your support will help young people stay in their current placements, access their communities and develop skills and tools they will use for the rest of their lives to live fulfilling, independent lives. Using approaches built on the principles of inclusion, choice and participation, your support could be the difference between a closed door and a clear path to independence

If you do not already hold a BTEC Level 4 in Positive Behaviour Support (which is desirable), you will be enrolled onto this course and supported throughout your studies while you work with us, on completion you will receive a salary increase to £27,500
 You will receive regular clinical supervision from experienced professionals to ensure you feel confident and supported in your role.

What you bring to the role

Knowledge and Experience: 

• Proven track record of securing at least five figure partnerships in the charity sector or private sector, with an understanding of how to unlock six figure sums. 
• Ability to research, identify, and secure both unrestricted and restricted income. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience of developing compelling proposals and collateral - experience using Canva is a plus - and pitching. 
• Excellent relationship building and stewardship skills with ability to represent London Youth to a variety of stakeholders, including C-Suite level.

It consists of 14 self-contained flats and one crisis room for adult men with medium to high-level support needs who require 24-hour supported accommodation, helping them to continue to live in the community and to reduce the risk of admission to hospital.

In this role, you will support in leading the team by providing overall leadership to the service and line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will also support with some day to day responsibilities of the team such as providing tailored support to our residents directly. As a Manager, you will support in driving service outcomes in line with contractual requirements, ensuring quality and consistency within a trauma and psychologically informed environment. You will ensure the service runs smoothly in collaboration with the team, wider teams, and external partners. Job Description

Delivering the Philanthropy plan

• Work with the Head of Fundraising and existing Philanthropy Manager to grow the major donor portfolio within the wider strategy 
• Build and maintain a portfolio of existing and new major donors who give or can give £15,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey
• Line manage the Philanthropy Executive and support their professional development, providing direction, support and guidance
• Work with our Fundraising Research & Administration Intern to identify new potential Bookmark major donors, working with Trustees, senior stakeholders, and our wonderfully supportive Partnerships Board to secure introductions and make asks of prospective supporters
• Design and deliver creative events and activities to generate income, cultivate and steward donors

Essential

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Wakehurst, Kew’s Wild Botanic Garden in Sussex, in the recently established role of Visitor Experience – Duty Manager.

Our Duty Managers are at the heart of the visitor operation and are responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating the daily running of Wakehurst. Working with teams across site, the Duty Managers ensure that we consistently deliver maximum visitor enjoyment and quality presentation standards whilst maintaining the health, safety and security of the gardens, buildings, staff, volunteers, and visitors.

An Enhanced DBS Check is required for this role.

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, and motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to be flexible and ‘get stuck in’ as required. A proven track record of delivering high levels of customer service is an essential requirement and previous operational management or supervisory experience within a visitor attraction would be a key advantage. Strong people management skills with the ability to work collaboratively and make informed decisions under pressure will be pivotal to the success of this role.

About the role:

As a Team Leader you will play a vital role in supporting a team of CYP Practitioners in providing high quality, end-to-end support to all children and young people who have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse across Cumbria. You will support and guide your team to achieve key performance indicators, provide appropriate information and support, complete regular 1-1 performance reviews and annual appraisals.

You will need:

• good understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on child victim/survivors
• experience leading a team
• to be able to provide effective crisis intervention, carry out risk assessments, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning
• demonstrable experience of working in a similar setting or position
• strong communication skills and be able to present and educate service users and agency partners
• the ability to work independently and prioritise a busy workload
• An enhanced criminal record check is required for this role
