Hubbub is looking for a motivated fundraiser join a thriving development team at an exciting and pivotal moment in our charity’s growth. With significant expansion in our Trusts & Foundations income over the past 18 months, we are now poised to build on this success and strengthen our philanthropic partnerships.  

As Development Manager you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our Trusts & Foundations programme by cultivating new relationships and securing substantial funding from trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies. In addition, you will also play a key role in advancing our income generation from businesses and contribute to the development of our events and funder communications.

Your role will include:   

• Securing funding for diverse aspects of our work against Hubbub’s annual fundraising target, from core costs to specific roles, to scaling successful projects.   

• Contributing to the growth of the Trusts fundraising pipeline, nurturing new relationships with both solicited and unsolicited prospects, and supporting colleagues to do the same.   

• Working closely with Project Leads and Directors to deliver engaging and persuasive trusts and statutory proposals that expertly match funding criteria to Hubbub’s projects and priorities.    

• Identifying external networking opportunities for yourself and the wider team to increase our visibility amongst potential funders and build new relationships.  

• Undertaking regular prospect research to identify new Trusts that align with Hubbub’s strategy, focus areas and projects  

• Strengthening existing Trusts relationships by showcasing our impact through timely reporting, and delivering donor stewardship to high standards.  

• Updating our funder database (Pipedrive), with relevant funder information in a timely manner.   

• Keeping up with environmental and philanthropic developments and trends so you can join the dots between the urgent environmental challenges that we face, the sustainability ambitions of funders and our own strategic objectives.  

• You will also be expected to join in-person funder meetings whenever required, likely in and around London. 

You will also support:  

• The wider team to secure income from businesses. This will involve developing introduction decks, employee engagement offerings, client proposals and more.  

• Hubbub events by contributing to ideas, compiling invitee lists, and drafting invitations.  

• A variety of other activities that will support our income generation when required.  

Who you are 

• You’re motivated and ambitious, with a tenacity to work towards targets. You will likely have contributed to and secured 5-6 figure grants from Trusts and statutory bodies. You’re open to taking risks and learning from failure. 

• You’re an excellent bid writer and enjoy converting complex projects into winning proposals with funders’ motivations and criteria in mind.

•  Your relationship building skills are top-notch, both virtual and IRL. You’re confident developing new funder relationships from scratch, whilst nurturing existing ones. You enjoy getting away from your desk and finding opportunities to network. 

• You have a deep understanding of how trusts and foundations work and are open to sharing your knowledge with colleagues.

• You’re collaborative and able to work across all levels of an organisation, managing up and down when needed, to produce high quality bids on time and on budget. 

• You’ll enjoy researching and prioritising new Trusts funders to approach. 

•  It would be a bonus if you have experience fundraising from businesses and/or high net worth individuals, plus utilising a CRM system to not just track deals but identify useful insights.

JOB PURPOSE 

The Operations team at Start Network seeks to provide high quality services and works across all directorates. The Operations Officer plays a crucial, frontline role for the organisation, often being the first port-of-call for enquiries from staff and supporting the Senior Operations Manager in the day-to-day delivery of services. RABI is the farmers charity.

RABI supports farming people across England, Wales and NI with expert, one-to-one practical, financial and emotional help, all year round. From confidential advice and mental health support to direct financial assistance, their tailored services respond to the unique challenges of farming life.

Summary and key purpose

This new role will be primarily responsible for developing, marketing and managing our individual giving together with working across other fundraising disciplines. You will be a key member of our fundraising team, producing compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory. You will ensure that our donors receive excellent care.

Our Individual Giving programme will incorporate one-off donations, regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals and in-memory giving. You will do this, with the support of our recently appointed fundraising agency, who you will manage our relationship with week by week.

A critical element of the role will be how we market ourselves to potential new donors, taking them on an emotional engagement journey in order to solicit regular gifts.

Your expertise and skills:

To excel in this role, you will need prior experience of working in a fundraising setting, with an understanding of good stewardship practices. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, working across teams and meeting multiple deadlines. Your excellent relationship management skills will enable you to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and gather information on new projects. You must have a thorough understanding of individual giving, developing donor journeys and experience of work with agencies.

Key responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of the regular giving programme, project managing appeals and overseeing the thanking process for individual donors.
• Create, plan, deliver and evaluate multi-channel, compliant, insight-led, supporter-centric campaigns to engage and drive action from new and existing supporters.
• Manage our newly appointed fundraising agency, and in doing so, help deliver an ambitious appeal programme and income target.
• Review and develop operational plans for individual giving (including regular giving, in memory, digital fundraising and appeals) working to achieve agreed targets.
• Communicate and document key performance indicators across individual giving appeals. Ensuring you provide commentary to accompany results reporting, drawing on insights and the wider picture to add context and make recommendations from your learnings.
• Work with the fundraising agency and RABI communications team to produce and edit appropriate collateral.
• Devise and deliver supporter communications, including stewardship activity, welcome journey content and appeal communications.
• Help ensure that we comply with legal and compliance requirements including industry best practice, GDPR/PECR regulations and the CIOF code of Fundraising Practice.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships and liaison with other members of RABI staff.
• Take part and contribute to team meetings.

Are you passionate about technology and helping others solve IT challenges? We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused ICT Support Officer to join the Trust. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for technical support, ensuring smooth operation of our IT systems and providing exceptional service to staff and stakeholders. 

The candidate: 

The successful candidate will have at least an HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an ICT-Related subject and at least two years’ experience in a customer-facing or staff support role, it would be advantageous if this was within an ICT support or helpdesk environment. 

Main Objectives 

• Provide day-to-day support for staff and volunteers using SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Office 365, including troubleshooting common issues and escalating more complex problems to our ICT contractor and line manager as required. 

• Support the administration and basic configuration of the Trust’s digital systems, ensuring user accounts and permissions/access rights are kept up-to-date and in line with current best practice for cyber security and wider digital infrastructure.  

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining the Trust’s ICT equipment, network, and server infrastructure, reporting faults and liaising with our ICT contractor for resolution.  

• Support our ICT contractor with the external helpdesk to ensure IT problems are logged, tracked, and resolved promptly, maintaining good communication with users throughout. Including assisting with staff onboarding process 

The successful candidate will ideally have: 

• Experience of Office 365, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. 

• Experience of maintaining desktops, laptops, networking and servers.

Training and Implementation Specialist

The Implementation Specialist role is ideal for ambitious, client-focused individuals, passionate about improving services.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Head of Financial Operations & Control is a pivotal senior leadership role, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all financial records across The Courtauld and its subsidiaries. You will oversee core financial operations, reporting, tax and treasury management, investment support, regulatory compliance, and risk management, playing a key role in safeguarding the financial stability and integrity of the institution.

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Lead the finance function, including financial accounting, control, compliance

· Manage all aspects of financial operations such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, treasury, fixed assets, and tax

· Ensure accurate accounting and tax services to the group and its subsidiaries

· Lead the production of high-quality statutory financial statements, management reporting, and lead the annual audit

· Develop and maintain internal control policies, systems, and procedures to facilitate timely and accurate financial transactions and reporting

· Maintain the integrity and completeness of financial data held in the ERP system, including the chart of accounts and resolution of data quality issues

· Support investment strategy, manage treasury, endowment accounting and liquidity planning

· Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and controls and contribute to strategic financial planning

· Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory obligations (including HMRC, VAT, Gift Aid and tax implications for fundraising activities)

· Build effective relationships across the institution and externally, including auditors, investment managers, and regulators

· Deputise for the Director of Finance when required

In order to be successful in the role we're looking for;

· A qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent)

· Significant experience in managing financial control and operations including VAT, Tax relief, treasury in a charitable/education/not-for-profit organisation of similar size and complexity

· Able to self-sufficiently lead a smooth, accurate and timely year end process

· Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, able to ensure correct accounting treatment of restricted, unrestricted and endowment income

· A proven track record of leading finance teams and driving process improvements, thriving to develop a best-in-class finance function

· Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence at a senior level

· Experience in investment and endowment accounting is strongly desirable

Centre 33 is an ambitious and growing charity based across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We offer a range of high-quality services to young people aged up to 25, including information and support on a “drop in” basis, mental health services, counselling, housing and financial advice, sexual health support and support for young carers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established ‘Someone to Talk to’ service in a Team Lead role.  The Team Lead will manage and oversee a team of staff and volunteers supporting young people across Centre 33’s two hubs in our South Locality – in Cambridge City and Ely. The Team Lead will work closely with the other Team Leads and Heads of Service to jointly ensure our multidisciplinary teams deliver excellent, safe, impactful and responsive services to young people.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience working within a practical support, youth work or mental health role, and with experience of managing people.  The Team Lead will bring strong expertise and leadership to Centre 33’s holistic support offer for young people aged 13-25 years: our open-access drop-in, ongoing support around practical needs such as housing, and flexible mental health support. They will be responsible for providing support with case allocation, case management, reflective practice, risk management and Safeguarding. They will provide day-to-day designated Safeguarding leadership, supported by the Head of Service and Director of Services.  They will develop strong relationships with local organisations to ensure effective joint working and support for young people.  This role may deliver ad hoc case work to support young people with more complex needs but will not hold an ongoing regular case load.

The hours of work for this role are predominantly within core opening hours of 10 to 6pm, with some evening/Saturday working based on a rota. Due to our service delivery, it is important that the Team Lead is available for hub-based work during our core working hours.

The Opportunity

Our Membership Platform supports the College membership functions to make a difference to the lives of over 3.6 million children taught by our members. It is used to track, manage and support our members to access their benefits.

We are recruiting a Ruby Developer within the Service Operations team to manage our membership platform and provide support to users who access it. During the contract you will:

• Monitor and resolve any issues arising with the platform.
• Manage and maintain the platform so it remains operational. 
• Work closely with the Head of Data and Digital to successfully transform and move the current data and services to a new platform built on Salesforce.
• Support membership operations with reporting, payment and refund requests.

This would be an ideal opportunity to work on a project to move our data and processes from a Ruby platform to Salesforce which will move the College’s processes forward to ensure a strong future. In this role you will: 

• have autonomy for maintaining and managing our existing membership platform;
• work collaboratively with many of the team across the business, supporting recruitment and retention of our members; and
• help to grow the professional membership organisation for the teaching profession and be  part of the team driving the organisation forward at an exciting time for the future of the College.

Platform Management and Maintenance

Most of the time, you will be managing the membership platform, fixing any bugs, keeping the server up to date, ensuring stability, and providing reports to various stakeholders within the College.  You will also provide support to the membership team with refund requests through GoCardless and Stripe.

Data and Process Transition

You will spend some of your time working with the Head of Data and Digital to move all relevant membership data and processes over to Salesforce.  This will entail preparing data in the correct format and providing support to move automated processes over to the new system.
