In this role, you will be central to providing a first-class governance service to the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and its committees. Working closely with the Governance and Data Protection Manager, you will support meetings through scheduling, agenda planning, preparing papers and coordinating logistics. You will also maintain trustee records, support trustee recruitment and onboarding, and ensure governance processes are delivered to the highest standard. Beyond governance, you will have the opportunity to contribute to data protection activities and compliance processes, as well as support wider cross-departmental projects. Your work will ensure that the Board and its committees can lead effectively and make decisions that secure the long-term success of the Foundation.

We are looking for candidates with experience in supporting boards, committees or senior leadership teams, either in a professional or voluntary capacity, and an understanding of the not-for-profit sector. You will demonstrate strong administration and organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. You should be confident in working with senior stakeholders, adept with IT systems, and motivated by the opportunity to improve processes and deliver high standards of governance. · Record and review parent/carer goals using the Goal-Based Outcomes tool and use this to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.  

· To take responsibility for managing own caseload and diary. 

· To involve parents/carers in the co-design of group work and ensure that the service responds to user voice and meets the needs identified. 

· To provide written case studies as evidence of the effectiveness of interventions and group work. 

· You will deliver services from YMCA East Surrey sites and other community venues across the following areas – Banstead, Tadworth, Epsom, Ewell, Ashtead, Leatherhead, Dorking and Esher.

About the Development Operations & Stewardship Manager role:

This job sits within the Museum’s Development Team, supporting a team of fundraisers to build philanthropic relationships, corporate partnerships and run National Museums Scotland’s Membership programme. At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Youth Engagement Officer – Autistic and OK to join our team on a 2 year fixed term contract.

The Youth Engagement Officer will play a central role in ensuring autistic young people are meaningfully involved in shaping and delivering the next phase of the Autistic and OK programme. You will support the co-design and development of new peer-led workshops for the schools toolkit and developing resources for a whole school approach, collaborating with colleagues in the Participation team and a diverse group of autistic young people.

You will coordinate the recruitment, induction and ongoing support of our autistic programme ambassadors ensuring that their contributions are valued, inclusive and impactful. The role will involve facilitating engagement sessions and workshops with autistic young people, enabling them to co-produce programme content and participate in media, advocacy and public engagement opportunities.

• Considerable experience in youth work, participation, community engagement, or a related field.
• Experience of working directly with young people, particularly neurodivergent young people, and facilitating their meaningful involvement in projects, workshops or campaigns, including both in-person and online formats.

You’ll join the Research Management and Impact team, part of Marie Curie’s Research and Policy Directorate. As the UK’s largest charitable funder of palliative and end-of-life care research, we manage a diverse portfolio of grants, centres, and commissioned projects. Our team also leads on measuring, communicating, and maximising the impact of funded research – ensuring it drives real-world change in care and policy.

As Research Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of research grants from application through to delivery, supporting researchers and ensuring effective management of funding. You will also play a vital role in tracking and demonstrating the impact of Marie Curie’s research, helping to evidence the difference it makes for patients, carers, and services. Your expertise will directly contribute to building a stronger evidence base and closing gaps in palliative and end-of-life care.

Your Impact:

• Manage pre- and post-award research funding processes, including applications, reviews, contracts, and reporting.
• Act as the main point of contact for funded researchers, linking them with Marie Curie colleagues across policy and services.
• Overseeing financial management of research grants, audits, and reporting.
• Lead on the annual Researchfish impact data collection and monitor policy impact using tools such as Overton.
• Produce case studies, reports, and metrics to evidence and communicate research impact.
• Support organisation of research events, including the Marie Curie Research into Practice Conference.

Key Criteria:

• Experience in research management at a charitable or government funder, university, or NHS organisation.
• Knowledge of UK health and/or social science research sectors.
• Strong financial management skills and experience.

This is a newly created role which is part of a recharged Business Development Directorate aimed at developing a range of potential income streams and building a sustainable income model, reducing the dependency on statutory income. 

Background information

The Director of Business Development is primarily focussed on growing commercial opportunities and engaging at a strategic partnership and corporate level. The Head of Fundraising and Communications will boost the capacity and leadership of the team to develop voluntary fundraising, lead on smaller corporate partnerships, develop grants and trusts income, create and deliver headline grabbing campaigns that appeal to the wider public thereby developing an individual giving function and lead on organisational communications, including fundraising comms. You will be supported by a Communications Assistant who has a good knowledge of the charity and Fundraising Assistant. The latter post is currently vacant and, it is hoped,  the Head of Fundraising will be involved in the recruitment. There is a strong pipeline of innovative projects which will create compelling cases for support with which to fundraise. The assets are in place, it just takes an exceptional fundraiser to capitalise on opportunities. 

Job description 

Education

• A relevant professional qualification at SCQF Level 9 or above or equivalent knowledge acquired by other means.

Experience

• Experience in both fundraising (multiple and sustainable income streams) and communications(fundraising and organisation-wide), with evidence of developing strategy and delivery as well as management and leadership of these areas.

• Proven success in securing  income through a range of income channels including grants and trusts, partnerships, running campaigns, and raising profile.

• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on activity delivery.

• A track record of planning and delivering successful multiple and sustainable initiatives at a local and national level.

• Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills across multiple channels.

• Experience of working with and supporting senior leaders (e.g. comms, media engagement).

• Strong organisational skills, able to juggle multiple projects with limited resources.

• Line management experience and ability to support junior staff in development.

• Experience  of developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy managing both internal communications and external engagement, ensuring a unified voice across all platforms. This includes ensuring the Communications strategy supports Penumbra’s strategic goals, including service promotion, policy influence, fundraising, and brand awareness.

• Experience of managing projects from inception to completion.

• Sourcing and sharing powerful stories from service users, staff, and volunteers, using personal experiences to demonstrate the impact of Penumbra’s work and humanise mental health issues.

• Acting as Penumbra’s lead for media relations, securing press coverage and responding to media enquiries in a timely, professional manner. This includes developing relationships with key journalists, mental health advocates, and influencers to increase Penumbra’s profile. Leading on the creation and delivery of public-facing campaigns to raise awareness of mental health challenges and reduce stigma, including high-profile events like Mental Health Awareness Week.

Knowledge

• Understanding of the voluntary sector, fundraising regulatory frameworks, communications and policy context and partnership agendas.

• Oversee content creation across digital platforms, press releases, speeches, and internal communications.

• Develop and oversee brand guidelines, ensuring all internal and external materials are on-brand and adhere to the highest standards of quality.

• Distribute press releases, statements, and opinion pieces that showcase Penumbra’s expertise and impact on mental health in Scotland.

• Design and implement multi-channel fundraising campaigns targeting major donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and community partners.

• Knowledge of fundraising regulations, data protection and financial compliance.

You will provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to patients following the HCPC clinical standards of care and CSP professional Codes of Conduct. 

What we are looking for:

· An honours degree level or equivalent in physiotherapy, Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC) registration and membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

· Significant post-graduate experience across a range of physiotherapy specialities.

· A patient-centred and holistic approach with a passion for palliative care.

· Experience in palliative care or transferable skills suited to this specialist field.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· A UK driver’s licence, business insurance cover and access to a car for work purposes is essential to this role.

War on Want is recruiting a Head of Campaigns - Strategy and Impact to bring in strategic level capacity to War on Want campaigns.

War on Want is dynamic, radical organisation that runs hard-hitting campaigns against the root causes of poverty and human rights violation, mobilising support and building alliances to fight for human rights, especially workers’ rights, raising public awareness of the root causes of poverty, inequality and injustice, and empowering people to take action for change. Reporting to the Director of Campaigns, Policy and Programmes, this is a new role working within the department to provide strategic oversight and coordination across War on Want’s campaigning portfolio, to evolve the organisation’s creative tools and techniques for both online and offline campaigning, and lead on impact learning to inform the development of campaign plans.

The role is both strategic and operational, supporting the development and integration of national and international campaigns that will engage and mobilise new and existing supporters, with a particular focus on War on Want’s priority campaign programme areas on Justice for Palestine and on a Global Green New Deal.

We are looking for an experienced campaign strategist who knows how to drive campaigns forward, familiar with the different tools and techniques to inspire online and offline campaigning, and who can spark creative ways to deliver impact and secure campaign successes working effectively and collaboratively across teams. You will be responsible for managing our three Senior Campaigners who lead on War on Want’s thematic campaigns, supporting strategy development and implementation, taking an intersectional approach to connect across the issues we campaign on, and coordinating across teams to ensure campaigns deliver for the shared organisational objectives of generating impact, engagement and income.
