The Trusts and Foundations Officer will support the Trusts and Foundations team to meet income targets and develop and maintain relationships with donors and prospects. The role combines supporting the Trusts and Foundations Manager, Senior Trusts Officer, and Head of Fundraising with the maintenance of existing relationships as well as generating their own income from both smaller and larger trusts. The successful candidate will demonstrate success in securing grants from charitable trusts, foundations, and institutional donors. Proven experience in trust and foundation fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector or a similar environment is essential.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated candidate who is looking for a career in fundraising. Kinship is the leading kinship care charity in England and Wales. We support, campaign and raise awareness of kinship care and the issues affecting kinship carers every day.

Kinship care begins in crisis. A child whose parents are unable to care for them, for whatever reason. It’s frightening, confusing and heart-breaking. Instinctively, a loved one steps in – a grandparent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or family friend. They are now a kinship carer, bringing up the children they love. It’s life changing and challenging raising children who’ve been hurt or neglected, but kinship carers do it anyway because they put the children first. 

Kinship have been awarded funding from the Department for Education to deliver the first ever national training programme to support kinship carers in their caring role. We are at the start of that journey.

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.

Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. You’ll plan, co-ordinate and support the successful delivery of all our online and in-person events, including being available and involved as needed on site. 

In this role, you’ll travel across England and may have overnight stays from time to time. We offer training and support to enable you to be successful in your role and we’re happy to discuss requirements if you have kinship caring responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing highly effective project management and administrative support to the training programme, including supplier communication, coordinating programme logistics and delivery of all relevant general and financial administration tasks, e.g. scheduling meetings, providing agendas, writing briefings, minute-taking, monitoring expenditure and organising events, training and workshops.
• Being the first point of contact for the team, for both internal and external purposes, communicating effectively with kinship carers, internal training team, external delivery partners and other stakeholders to coordinate and confirm all training activity.

Essential requirements include:

• Proven experience in event planning and management. You will need previous experience being responsible for organising large events (over 50 people). 
• Experience of developing and implementing administrative systems and processes that enable team effectiveness. You will need a minimum of 1 year’s administration experience.

The Women’s Centre Cornwall has grown from its early roots as a Rape Crisis Centre into an innovative, award-winning feminist organisation which provides a wide range of services for women and girls in our communities. PURPOSE

The Effective Women’s Centre Project drives forwards and embeds a culture of data quality across The Women’s Centre Cornwall. We are looking for and experienced Data and Systems Lead to work with Managers to improve our data collection and reporting from our case management systems. The successful candidate will provide meaningful and accessible management information, outcomes monitoring, and performance reports; while supporting our Monitoring, Impact & Evaluation Manager to develop ways for us to demonstrate our impact and share stories of change. She will also support our Lived Experience Groups to ensure the experiences of women are at the heart of the organisation and inform our planning and decisions.  The Data & Systems Lead will be responsible for continued implementation and project management of the Women’s Risk and Needs Assessment (WRNA) across our services. The WRNA is part of the Effective Women’s Centres Project which is designed to improve current understanding of the needs and strengths of women and to consolidate the evidence base for the effectiveness of Women’s Centres.

 RESPONSIBILITIES: 

DATA & REPORTING

• Lead on the development of TWCC’s data and case management systems (CMS) ensuring buy-in, consistency and accuracy across the organisation.
• Lead on developing reporting within the organisations case management systems.
• Cultivating a Learning Culture around data within the organisation.
• Extracting quantitative data from the CMS; carrying out quality audits and cleaning and organising the data in preparation for analysis.
• Delivering training to teams ensuring they understand the requirements and importance of data collection in a way that is engaging and inclusive
• Conducting in-depth ongoing data analysis to identify improvement opportunities, risks and issues.

THE WOMEN’S RISK & NEEDS ASSESSMENT (WRNA)

• Building upon the newly introduced Women’s Risk and Needs Assessment (WRNA) across the Open Team and supporting wider Women’s Centre teams to adopt the tool.
• Working with Service Managers, providing support to the Team Leaders, sharing learning and guidance on the use of the tool. 
• Monitor the progress of the implementation of WRNA and take appropriate action if any issues are identified.
• Organise and deliver training to enable practitioners to use the WRNA.
• Lead on integration of WRNA with case management software.
• Monitor recruitment of women to the WRNA project and quality of data inputted in the assessments.
• Lead on internal communications and messaging around implementation of the WRNA.
• Sharing learning with other women’s centres involved in the Effective Women’s Centre’s project.
• Develop and deliver a project plan which ensures WRNA is rolled out consistently across the organisation.
• Oversee the delivery of the plan, revising plans based on the changing needs and requirements of the project and wider partners involved.

LIVED EXPERIENCE WORK

• Co-facilitate the Lived Experience Group and involve women with lived experience in the implementation of the Effective Women’s Centres project and across our wider services.
• Support individuals in the group to contribute to our national influencing objectives

The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.

You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. The West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust is seeking to employ a Heritage Assistant for current and future projects led by WMHBT, CoWRBPT, or WBPT. This is a great opportunity to be part of a brand-new team working closely to bring this new and exciting provision to life, and a vital role providing essential administrative support to the finance team, the facilities team as well as office management support across the wider team.

With previous experience in a busy office environment, your experience will include:

· Purchase requisition, purchase orders and invoicing, reconciliation of supplier statements, bank reconciliation and preparing journals, payroll support expenses and preferred supplier account set up.

· Rent management including documenting resident moves and posting receipts paid by local authorities.

· Managing office supplies, and provision of facilities support in line with relevant Health & safety standards.

· Excellent communication skills and an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, you will be able to manage a varied workload and prioritise activities and responses in order of importance.

· A knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR Regulations 2018 to ensure the appropriate management of personal and sensitive personal data.

· An understanding of trauma and its long-term effects on a person’s behaviours, self-esteem, confidence, and ability to trust others, plus knowledge and understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised Finance Assistant who has exceptional IT skills including databases, excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience and ideally with case management systems for data and outcome recording, you will have outstanding attention to detail and accurate record keeping.

Eclipse is looking for a competent, organised and experienced Finance and Operations Manager to join the organisation during a period of transition.  The Finance and Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the finance support service for the organisation together with operational support for Governance, Admin & HR.

This is an opportunity to play a vital role in the organisation as it develops and instigates an exciting and ambitious new set of plans over the next six months.  You will be working directly with senior leaders and trustees, and line-manage an Administrator utilising strong financial and administrative skills to manage the charity’s finances and day to day operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of the Post

• To Provide financial leadership and to be accountable for financial reporting to the leadership team, Board, and stakeholders.
• To be responsible for effective management of the day-to-day office administration, and HR processes.
• To undertake company secretarial duties to ensure compliance with statutory requirement and relevant legislation.
• To work directly with the leadership team and board supporting business planning, organisational development, and to ensure Eclipse meets its aims and objectives.

The Finance and Operations Manager is a key relationship for internal staff and suppliers as well as fielding enquiries from artists, partners and the general public.

Terms and Conditions

Salary: £35,000 gross per annum (pro rata if applicable)

Location: Working from home with some working from company office in Leeds with reasonable notice

FTE / Hours: Full Time (1.0 FTE) at 35 hours per week, plus a compulsory break for one hour. Part-time options of 0.5 to 0.8 FTE would be accepted.

Holidays: 28 days per year (including statutory Bank Holidays), pro rata if applicable

Role responsibilities
The Finance & Operations Manager is responsible for:

Finance

• Preparation, monitoring, and control of the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provision of clear and timely management accounts to the senior team and Board of Trustees.
• Administration of the company’s financial systems through day-to-day bookkeeping including data entry, management of petty cash, processing of invoices and bank reconciliation.
• Liaising with the external payroll provider and payment of monthly salaries.
• Overseeing the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and management of the annual independent examination.
• Supporting in the delivery of an annual report or funder reports as needed, including Arts Council England NPO reporting requirements and quarterly payment conditions. 

Governance

• Leading on the arrangements for Board Meetings and Away Days: minute taking, writing and circulating agenda and documentation, post-meeting minutes and communicating with the Trustees pre-meeting on location, time and attendance.
• Regularly reviews the company’s policy making – ensuring the company maintains and abides by its policies e.g. Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Environmental and Staff Handbook.

Administration & HR

• Day to day responsibility for managing the HR function of the company.
• Keeping in contact with and responding in a timely manner to any queries from key stakeholders.
• Support the organisation to maintain key relationships and deliver report writing.
• General administration and office management lead.
• Management of the company calendar.
• Administration of company compliance and reporting to statutory bodies e.g. Companies House and the Charities Commission.
• Working as a central point of contact through phone and email.

We are looking for Volunteer Coordinator to be responsible for overseeing our volunteer programme

Key duties will include;

Recruiting volunteers through a variety of job boards, community pages and platforms.

Arranging and carrying out interviews with potential volunteers to assess the value and contribution they could offer the charity.

Carrying out new volunteer inductions to ensure they are confident and competent to deliver their responsibilities as a UCARE volunteer.
