The Ripple Pond is a charity that supports adult family members of physically and/or psychologically injured British Armed Forces personnel and veterans. Many of these individuals and family members are hard to reach and often isolated.
Your role will be to ensure that more and more of the military community, professionals and other interested parties know who we are and how to access our support.
You will also help to organise our exciting programme of online talks and activities for our Members (service-users) to help ensure they are well-informed, involved and feel part of a supportive community. Making sure that Members are always involved in generating ideas and production.
We are looking for someone who is dynamic and determined, but you also need to be invested in our mission as a charity and care about people.
This role is about;
• working with a wide range of groups and individuals to help raise awareness of the charity and to create opportunities to identify new Members (service users);
• being responsible for networking, identifying, and establishing partnerships with key individuals and organisations and nurturing existing relationships;
• developing and rolling out strategies to engage with hard-to-reach and isolated military carers and families;
• coordinating a range of activities (mainly online) to deliver information to Members, potential Members, referrers, and other stakeholders. These will include online talks from staff, Members and other “subject matter experts”; and
• helping to ensure the charity continues to understand the developing needs of its Members.
Although the role is home-based, you will not be working in isolation; you will be supported by the managers and workforce.
All our staff are home-based, and we maintain a strong caring culture of teamwork, mutual support and promoting wellbeing at work.
You may be exposed to traumatic narratives from our Membership, for many this is a reality in their lives. We do provide an extensive framework of clinical and managerial support but you do need to be an emotionally and psychologically resilient individual.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.
The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.
The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. The Role:
The Chief Officer will lead and manage Citizens Advice St Helens (CASH) while developing and implementing strategic and operational plans. We have a great opportunity for an efficient and organised individual to join our Governance Team, providing maternity leave cover.
Working closely with two other Governance Officers, you will provide support and guidance to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Council and its Committees. The three Governance Officers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of Council and Committee work, as well as the running and administration of key CSP events. With your first class organisational and communication skills and an adaptable approach, you will be at ease working to tight, and often changing, deadlines and work streams. Our Helpline runs from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, warm and experienced individual to support our dedicated Helpline Volunteers and Befriending Volunteers within the Helpline team.

A new opportunity for a Funding Officer working with The Phoenix Way Partners (TPW). This is a national collaborative partnership created during the Covid-19 pandemic as a response to the structural inequalities which Black and Ethnic Minority communities and community-led organisations face in relation to influencing and accessing grant funding in the UK.
This Funding Officer position is looking after the North East and Cumbria region within a wider team of eight people across England, and reporting into a Funding Manager.
In your role you will:
- Assess requests for funding and manage grants using best practice, thematic expertise, and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making.
- Share learning from your conversations, project visits, grant holder reports and evaluations with other colleagues so that we can maximise our impact.
- Ensure our grant management and assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker.
- Manage your own caseload, liaise with grant holders, partners, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, supporting organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact
- Have a passion for equitable grant making and be part of an inclusive team. You will be able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude and a solution focused approach.
You will ideally live in or near the geographic area listed that this role will cover or have excellent knowledge of the area. Being responsible for supporting local people and communities you will have a strong knowledge of the challenges and opportunities for the Black and Ethnic Minority communities and community-led organisations in that area.
You’ll also need to work within the Fund’s policies and procedures and the necessary legislation, and in a way that is in line with our vision and principles.

We are looking for a new full time, 17-month fixed term Funding Officer to join the passionate, vibrant and friendly team in the North West Region to be part of ensuring our funding supports a wide variety of communities and places locally. The role will cover Lancashire, with occasional work in other parts of the North West.
The team is based remotely across the North West of England and this role is to support delivery in Lancashire. Ideally the successful candidate will live in Lancashire and will be part of the local team, led by a Funding Manager, and comprised of several other Funding Officers.
As a member of the funding team you will assess applications for funding and manage grants from our Reaching Communities and Partnerships programmes. You will use your local knowledge and experience, and the experience of our grant holders and local stakeholders, to ensure we are making the best decisions on the grants we make. By working closely with people and communities from a defined geographical area, you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference.
You will gain an understanding of our vision, our commitment to equity and inclusion and our funding programmes. You will be responsible for your own caseload; liaise with grant recipients, visit projects, identify and manage risks, supporting organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact. You will need to understand and respond to the different needs of our applicants and grant holders by providing advice and feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations. •Understanding of financial planning and business plans, ability to analyse accounts and numerical data.

The ability to drive and access to a vehicle is beneficial for this role but not essential.

Edinburgh Food Project runs seven foodbanks and an FCA accredited Money Advice Service.
We have joined with other foodbanks in the North East and South East of the city to expand the advice team and reach yet more people in crisis.
