Can you help us to support new dads and dads-to-be?
We are recruiting a Dad Matters Coordinator to help us reach more families across Barnet, Brent and Harrow. They will work alongside our team of Coordinators, local Family Hubs and a range of services including Maternity, Health Visiting and Children's Services.
The Dad Matters Coordinator will deliver a range of universal and targeted interventions aimed at fathers in the First 1001 Days. They will support dads and other male carers with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to service. They also work with professionals and perinatal services to ensure dads and male carers are engaged, supported and heard within clinical pathways. Addtionally, they will help develop and run sessions with dads and will be at the forefront of growing our Dad Matters volunteering opportunities.
This is a new post, and we are looking for someone who can build on our existing relationships and make a real impact on the mental health and wellbeing of new dads and dads-to-be.

The Role

We’re looking for an Advice Service Manager to lead on the day to day management of our Advice Service and grow and develop our Advisors.
The Students’ Union Advice Service supports a student population of 50000 with case numbers averaging over 3000 per year. We’re here to empower students to exercise their rights and options if they encounter problems during their time at university. We offer one-to-one advice on academic issues, housing, money and student finance issues and student life.
We’re currently going through a service transformation, and we want to lay the foundations for a thriving and sustainable Advice Service, able to meet growing demand and complexity of cases. We’re embedding a new staffing structure, and we’re looking for an Advice Service Manager who can support our staff to transition into the more senior roles available. You’ll lead on staff training and development so that we achieve our transformation plan.
As well as management, you’ll be taking on your own cases. About you
To thrive in this role, you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. Due to the remote working nature of the role, you will have excellent communication skills to identify and assess the service user’s needs and work alongside them to develop their personal support plan.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong proficiency in Microsoft Teams and a broad computer literacy that includes the ability to work across multiple applications simultaneously. Confidence in recording data into an electronic information management system is essential, as is the capacity to rapidly acquire new software and application skills. The ability to plan and manage your own workload with minimal supervision is a key requirement for this role. Prior experience in using other Microsoft Office 365 applications to a high standard will be advantageous.
It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.

Bow Foodbank is proud to have developed a highly trusted relationship with our guests and the community. We are often the first point of call for people when they are starting to struggle financially. We want to use our trusted place in the community to support our guests with more than just food, helping to connect them into a wide range of services and community groups - aiming to help guests to build their resilience and move them away from the causes of poverty. This role will build partnerships with organisations to create support pathways. We want to maximise use of our building by creating a support ‘marketplace’ inviting partners into the foodbank and increasing guest access to the broadest range of services.
