About this exciting opportunity
As Mentor/Facilitator, your focus will be to oversee the delivery of a vital Mentor Programme to targeted at risk students and young people up the age of 25 years and to establish and maintain positive relationships with each young person to provide emotional support, guidance and mentorship. You will be expected to address each individual’s needs and challenges, utilising personal experiences, local knowledge, professional skills and St Giles’ materials to offer support and intervention, while also assisting each young person with setting and achieving academic, personal, and career goals.
We will count on you to collaborate with professionals to support and develop strategies to minimise the risk to young people and to maintain a trauma informed approach, that recognises and responds to trauma and amplifies the voices and experiences of individuals. Developing positive, pro-social attitudes, behaviour and social skills among those you mentor and supporting and/or co-delivering whole school awareness and professional sessions are also key aspects of the role.

About the role
You’ll empower your clients to take actions for themselves or will advocate on their behalf for better service, support and outcomes, so they can live their life with Parkinson's in the way they choose.
You’ll deliver tailored information and support through a range of channels including telephone, video and email and, where appropriate, home visits and in community settings.
You’ll be responsible for building excellent relationships with healthcare professionals and other relevant agencies, as well as our network of volunteers and groups.
What you'll do:

Provide professional person centred, in depth support to clients by a range of means, ensuring the most efficient and effective use of resources.

Provide support on a variety of health and social care issues, including appropriate emotional, employment and welfare benefits support and advocating with and on behalf of clients.

Work flexibly across the service responding to enquiries through a range of channels.

Work closely with clinicians, specialist nurses and other professional colleagues to raise the profile of the service, increase depth of support and achieve improved outcomes for people with Parkinson’s.
What you'll bring:

Experience of managing and delivering individual case work, including advocating for clients and supporting people to navigate the health and social care system

A bit about the role:
As an Outreach Support Worker, you will provide a service where planned support and crisis intervention is delivered to vulnerable people with low, medium and high support needs living in independent accommodation with the aim of them maintaining their home.
In conjunction with colleagues and Senior Managers, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the Support Service, in line with its policies and procedures, including encouraging a co-operative and supportive environment within the Service, listening to customers’ views and developing new services to meet these needs.
Some of the key results for the role include:
- To provide pre tenancy guidance and ongoing support to customers on all tenancy matters, including assistance to furnish and move into properties.
- To enable customers to abide by their tenancy agreements, giving advice and assistance on dealing with police and courts where this relates to housing matters
- To provide basic Welfare Benefits advice, assisting customers in claiming all benefit entitlements and assisting with accessing specialist support.
- To work with customers to identify the skills required to manage their own tenancy, including assistance to deal with difficult situations.
This role will require an Enhanced DBS check, a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.

About this key role
You will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable and at-risk young people to overcome challenges, set and achieve academic and personal goals, and make informed positive choices that reduce their risk of offending and entry into the criminal justice system. Your main focus will be the delivery of the SOS+ Embedded Mentor Programme to targeted at risk students, however you will also be expected to establish and maintain positive relationships with students to provide emotional support, guidance, and mentorship and address individual student needs and challenges – utilising personal experiences, local knowledge, professional skills and SOS+ materials to offer support and intervention.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Ayrshire You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home or other suitable community venue and be home based for telephone referrals and administrative tasks. Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
This is a full time role for 35 hours per week, applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum.
About you

You’ll support individuals to fully participate in decisions affecting them and will make sure they have their voices heard. This can be through 1-2-1 advocacy or in a group setting.

Key duties:
· Recruiting, training and providing ongoing support to volunteers

What will I be doing?
Day to day you will be supporting clients with Substance Use support needs to find and sustain paid employment as a key element of their recovery - engaging with employers and building good working relationships with Treatment teams along the way. You’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.

Role Overview:
Our Programme and Prevention team works with young people to prevent homelessness. They provide a safe place to stay in the homes of volunteers, as well as work with families and deliver programmes to schools, colleges and other educational and youth settings.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Education Officer. The appointed candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the Depaul Education programme in a range of settings, including schools, colleges and Pupil Referral Units across Milton Keynes.

- Lead and coordinate the Depaul education programme in your region.
- Deliver the programme’s workshops to children and young people aged 11-18 in a variety of education and youth settings, including facilitating assemblies, classroom-based workshops and small group work, as well as delivering sessions virtually if required.
