At FearFree we are proud to deliver services across the Southwest to those impacted by domestic abuse, and we’re excited to be expanding our offer, with the introduction of a new Rediscovering Independence through Support and Empowerment (RISE) Service.
As a Support Advisor working part time or full time, you will be a fundamental part of our team, supporting the delivery of the RISE programmes and the development of the service. The service will provide a range of trauma-informed and person-centred support, focused on supporting those impacted by abuse to access education, training, employment or volunteering.
You will be responsible for providing trauma informed support through group work and 1-1 support. Working alongside a team of practitioners across our geographical patch in Wiltshire, the project aims to:
- Increase volunteers in FearFree and support people to access volunteering opportunities externally.
- Support individuals impacted by abuse to access training and employment.
- Help people access bespoke apprenticeships and internships.
- Support service users to increase and advance work related skills, such as the development of CVs, financial management and IT skills.
- Raise awareness of this agenda to a wider network.
The service will support victims of Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Stalking aged 15 and above, alongside perpetrators of Domestic Abuse – empowering victims and reducing the risk of recidivism for perpetrators.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in working with vulnerable people and an understanding / experience of the Education, Training and Employment (ETE) sector. They will have an understanding of trauma informed practice and ideally have experience implementing this within group and 1-1 settings. Main Responsibilities and Tasks

- Play an active role in the recruitment process of volunteers in addition to management of volunteers, ensuring they are kept up to date and involved in the organisation, and able to support our service users.
- Ensure risk assessments are completed where required and safety plans are completed on time and regularly.
- Work closely with the services across FearFree, developing close working relationships and supporting clients who may be accessing support from our other services.
- Record all contact with service users and abide by confidentiality requirements.
- Record and monitor data to enable the service to be fully evaluated.

Willow House - Central Lancashire Crisis Service is a mental health recovery house in Coppull. We are working to a recovery model, and are accessed by referral as either hospital preventions, step down, respite and crisis point support. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a 24hour staffed service to our residents aged 16 and upwards.
We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. This role is designed to meet the debt advice needs of Oxford residents. The post holder will provide debt advice including benefit checks, ways to raise income and reduce overheads. Advice will be given by telephone/email, by appointment in person at our office, and to drop in clients at outreaches.

Role purpose: to provide an effective and efficient debt advice service to local residents within the aims, policies and principles of the CA service.
Key responsibilities:
- Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities.
- Use the Citizens Advice Information System to find, interpret and communicate the relevant information.
- Research and explore options and implications so that clients can make informed decisions.

About this exciting opportunity
St Giles Trust have been funded by the Ministry of Justice’s Women’s Interventions Funding to deliver a gender specific service in Coventry for women who are on the periphery of the criminal justice system. Our service will use credible lived experience staff that will position themselves across multiple ‘reachable’ moments for example, working in police stations, courts, and probation to divert women into appropriate support, activities & interventions. We follow a Trauma-Informed responsive delivery model, supporting women who have highly complex & interlinked needs to reduce and desist from future potential offending. We are looking for experienced caseworker-facilitators who will be able to identify additional and specialist learning needs and identify barriers within our female client groups. The mentor facilitators should be able to address and support across the pathways listed below whilst delivering a Healthy Relationship programme within a group setting.
What we are looking for
• Understanding of the issues faced by females involved or at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system.
• A knowledge and understanding of providing support, advice and advocacy to vulnerable clients and the ability to communicate this knowledge in a variety of ways.

About this key role
As our Financial Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or have been released from prison. This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.
We will also count on you to deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards the achievement of prescribed outcomes, including group work sessions, and to work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of locations across a wide geographical area. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards are also vital aspects of the role.
What we are looking for
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, e.g., those with complex and multiple needs
• Proven record of working with partner agencies
• Evidence of training at specialist level in money and/or welfare benefits advice
• Higher level certificate in money and/or welfare benefit advice from accreditation

The vital role of the Nurturing New Adventures Caseworker will focus on engaging and supporting girls and young women in Wolverhampton once they have been identified as being involved in a violence-related incident, being at risk of exploitation or gang affiliated. You will build positive relationships with them and their families and produce risk management plans based on assessments, plus deliver a holistic support service that provides practical help such as housing and social support, education, and training and employment options.

Right now, we’re looking for someone like you to join our NGAGE Young People’s Service in Northampton. NGAGE is an early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18 and we provide information, education, advice and support to young people in relation to drug and alcohol use.
Your challenge? To provide advice, assessments, brief and structured interventions and group programmes. As a Practitioner, you will be the initial contact for referrals into the service, conducting assessments via telephone, face to face and offering relevant and appropriate advice, harm minimisation, family interventions risk assessment and management, actioning onward referrals to partner agencies. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Community Education Officer plays an important role in both collaborating with communities to take part in shared learning and disseminating findings to wider audiences throughout the project, informing how it develops and boosting its impact. You will work in partnership with individuals and their communities, under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager as part of the education and advocacy programme. This will include cooperative identification of changes to the food system in Knowsley in the last century, engaging project participants in discussing those changes and raising awareness to wider audiences, supporting the project to achieve its aim of creating a shared understanding and celebrating Knowsley’s heritage and influencing strategies to shape the future of the borough, through sustained, quality engagement. You will support the Community Research Coordinator to capture qualitative and quantitative data that will inform reporting and contribute project monitoring and evaluation, participant outcomes and signposting groups & individuals to project activities with the aim of improving community participation & influence in our work.

We are looking for a new member of our Bereavement Services team, to grow our capacity and help us reach even more people bereaved by epilepsy. Our bereavement services are provided for free, completely confidentially, to anyone who needs us. You’ll be learning the ropes from day 1, getting stuck in with any tasks needed to help support the Bereavement Services team – this could range from admin tasks, answering initial enquiries from bereaved supporters (via phone or email), and will eventually lead to you taking initial calls with bereaved supporters, sharing with them the different ways the charity can support them, and helping us understand how best we can help them.
