The Role

To undertake all aspects of warehouse duties, ensuring effective, safe and efficient distribution of food each day. You will have responsibility for coordination of our food stock, from goods-in to picking, dispatch and stock rotation and will be expected to drive vans, and Forklift Trucks (training provided).

As the Goods Out Champion you will be responsible for ensuring all food items despatched from the depot have been quality checked, and are to a high standard on a daily basis. 

Working closely with the wider team and volunteers, you will also support the monitoring and utilisation of warehouse space, stock, deliveries and collections to ensure food reaches its destination amongst our members safely, on time and in full.

Key Responsibilities

1.  Operations 

• Undertake all warehouse duties, ensuring effective, safe and efficient coordination and distribution and of food
• Work closely with the food safety lead to ensure all food items are quality checked before departure, using our in house 5 point check. 
• To work to performance indicators so that stock is accurate, and delivery routes are efficient to allow the organisation to grow
• To ensure that all work areas – both inside and outside the warehouse - are clean, organised and safe to work in
• Follow all H&S and Food Safety standards set out in the FareShare policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all our colleagues & visitors, and the safe receipt of food by all our members.
• Undertake van/Forklift Truck driving duties to ensure effective, efficient timely and safe delivery & collection of food, in line with compliance standards
• Ensuring great customer service in delivery
• Loading and unloading, sorting for, and following deliveries, ensuring safe lifting, and carrying
• Refer van “issues”, in a timely manner to Transport Department to ensure minimum disruption to service delivery
• Undertake all checks and procedures from pre-delivery to post-delivery
• Ensure lock up, parking and storage of vans and equipment following completion of deliveries

2.  Volunteer Communication & Co-ordination  

• Work closely with the volunteer teams a diverse group ranging from regular and long-term, volunteers, placements (e.g. Job Centre) to business people having just a 1-day volunteering experience – to ensure that all shift duties are covered, and teams work effectively
• Provide leadership and guidance to volunteers, ensuring they follow all policies and procedures, high standards of accuracy are maintained and their volunteer experience with FSM is a satisfying one.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Manager, Volunteer Manager & wider staff team with the recruitment, training and development of volunteers in the context of our commitment to Equal Opportunities
• Participate in end of day reviews and planning for the next day’s activities

3.  Standards

• Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and other standards applicable to the building, vehicles, refrigeration equipment, our staff and volunteers. carrying out risk assessments as required
• Uphold and develop high quality customer care towards & communication with our Community Food Members (CFMs)

4.   Administration

• Ensure that food movements are accurately logged on the electronic stock management system
• Carry out depot administration, including running reports, correspondence with member groups, updating volunteer records
• Ensure that relevant administrative matters are dealt with in a timely way, for instance food safety traces & customer complaints.

5.  FareShare Midlands Profile/Representation

• Represent FSM both internally and externally at an operational level through networking, promotional activity and sustaining well established links with Community Food Members, Suppliers and other key stakeholders at local, regional and national level.
• Build excellent relationships with local partners including public services and VCS and volunteer involving groups.
• Keep abreast of local and national developments in public and third sector policy likely to affect FSM ensuring it is positioned to influence and shape future policy.

Job Title: Homeownership Assistant

Salary: up to £15,070; depending on experience (up to £25,116 FTE)

About the role

The Homeownership Assistant will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Homeownership team, helping to ensure efficient and effective service delivery to leaseholders, shared owners, and freeholders.

The postholder will be responsible for managing key processes and correspondence related to leasehold, shared ownership and freehold management, as well as income collection, and customer engagement. This role is pivotal in helping Hastoe meet its commitments to residents and maintain positive relationships.

Duties will include:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support for homeownership services, including managing documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, handling customer queries, and assisting in policy development.
• Handle service charge-related queries and collaborate with finance teams to prepare accurate service charge estimates and actuals.
• Manage the recovery of rent, service charges, and arrears from leaseholders and shared owners, including setting up payment plans, handling legal action when necessary, and providing regular debt reporting.
• Support legal and complex homeownership matters by processing legal notices, assisting with consultations and disputes, maintaining accurate records, and staying informed on relevant housing legislation.
• Deliver high-quality customer service by effectively handling queries, attending resident meetings, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure a smooth and responsive experience for homeowners.
• Support with Section 20 consultations for major works, ensuring adherence to legal frameworks.

About you

You will need to have proven experience in housing management administration, particularly in working with leaseholders and shared ownership leases. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong commitment to delivering high standards, and the ability to stay well organised, meet tight deadlines, and effectively juggle multiple tasks at once.

You will also need:

• A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• To be flexible and adaptable to change, with a willingness to learn and develop in the role.
• Where this isn’t already held, to be willing to study for a professional qualification in housing, property management, or a related field (e.g., CIH membership).

London Gypsies and Travellers (LGT) is an organisation that challenges social exclusion and discrimination, working for change in partnership with Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller people. We work with families across London Boroughs, including those living on council caravan sites, roadside camps, in bricks and mortar housing, and those experiencing homelessness.

Our Bright Futures programme offers mentoring and skills support to young Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller people aged 15–25 years. Through tailored one-to-one work, group activities and practical help, we support young people to build confidence, motivation and pride in their identity, while developing the tools they need to succeed in wider society.

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Youth Project Worker to support the delivery of Bright Futures. This is a varied role that combines project coordination, outreach support, administration, and direct engagement with young people.

You’ll help keep the programme running smoothly behind the scenes while also building trusted relationships with partner services and young people and families, supporting communications, and contributing to learning and reflection.

What will the role involve?

As a Youth Project Worker, you will:

• Support the day-to-day administration of the mentoring and employability programme, including record-keeping and report preparation
• Help coordinate communications activities such as creating new material, WhatsApp updates, and social media
• Maintain and grow referral networks with employers, training providers, and community organisations
• Engage directly with young people and their families to raise awareness and encourage participation

As a member of our team, you will not only assist with everyday domestic tasks like housework, shopping, meal preparation, and laundry, but also provide friendly social visits and accompany clients on outings and appointments. The role means supporting people to live as independently as possible in their own homes, including clients with dementia. You'll be fully supported by the office-based Help@Home team.

Our vision is for every church in the Portsmouth area to provide a home for 
people who’ve been homeless. We dream of ending homelessness by partnering 
with local churches to grow positive, prayerful support networks around people 
who’ve been homeless, as well as providing a safe, stable place to live.
Right now, in and around Portsmouth, we have 11 houses, with 28 tenants being 
befriended and loved by 8 churches – all set up since 2018. And we’re not 
stopping there, with more churches and areas looking to join us.

When we provide people with a safe home, professional support and the security 
of positive relationships, this helps them find the confidence, motivation and 
hope for change. Then we are able to support them in moving on to their own 
secure accommodation.

The Franchise Lead is key to keeping our growing organisation strong and 
Christian, partnering with churches to show God’s love to tenants no matter 
what they are facing. We want to grow without ever losing the quality of support

Key aspects of the role include: 
• Overall: our vision is to see each individual and family thrive in our 
homes, and to see more local churches wanting to “house the homeless.”
• Develop and equip the team to ensure tenants thrive in safe, supportive 
environments. We currently have 6 staff.
• Work with local churches so that their friendship & support teams are 
empowered, equipped, and prayerful; promote the charity so that new 
ones want to get involved.
• Ensure current investors feel engaged and valued; and promote the 
charity so that new ones come on board.
• Ensure that the charity has the highest safeguarding, property and quality 
standards, liaising with national and regional Hope into Action teams.

Essential attributes required:
• Proven experience in managing programs and teams with compassion and 
professionalism.
• Exceptional organisational and communication skills to inspire tenants, 
churches, and stakeholders.
• A heart for vulnerable adults and a deep understanding of homelessness 
issues.
• A resourceful, emotionally intelligent, prayerful leader with a strong 
Christian faith.

The Magistrates’ Association is the membership organisation for magistrates in England and Wales. Magistrates are the backbone of our justice system and we’re the only independent organisation that supports, champions and advocates for them.

Job Purpose

The finance team is a core part of our Operations Directorate, and although we’re a small team we have a huge impact on the effectiveness of our organisation. The team provides support and guidance to all staff members on how to process invoices, expenses, and generally manage their budgets effectively. The main purpose of the Finance Officer role is to provide key support to the finance team with our finance processes, supporting staff members across the organisation, helping with any queries on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting our members and suppliers with queries. The Finance Officer ensures all financial transactions are processed in accordance with BSR’s procedures and processes and in line with data protection regulations. 

You don’t need to have worked in the charity sector previously. Continual professional development is vital for us as a team, and so we’re happy to support you if you’re interested in completing a professional finance qualification.

Main Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger 

• Receive all supplier invoices (including member expenses), checking correct finance codes with relevant nominal, department, project, VAT and fund codes are on all invoices, and that the necessary authorisation is present 
• Scan and file all finance related documents (e.g. bank statements)  
• Set up fortnightly supplier payment runs for review by the Finance Manager 

 Sales Ledger 

• Work with budget holders and project leads to produce sales invoices  
• Liaise with budget holders to ensure correct coding of all invoices (nominal, department, project, VAT, and fund codes) 
• Credit Control – dealing with customer queries and chasing for payments fortnightly 

Other Finance Responsibilities 

• Manage monthly credit card process including posting in Dext and reconciliation in Xero  
• Assist the Finance Manager with preparing for year end and audit fieldwork 
• Reconcile purchase ledger payments with the bank transactions 
• Run new starter finance inductions for budget holders and set up new staff on finance systems 
• Maintain process documents for all finance systems 
• Suggest and support relevant finance system and process improvements where identified 
• Be the first point of contact for finance systems and internal system integrations 

Payroll 

• Ensure new starters are processed by HR 
• Process leavers  
• Exported payroll reports and ensuring that they are filed in the correct place 
• Run the monthly payroll with Finance Manager 
• Submission of EPS and FPS to HMRC 

Committee Management 

•  Minute-taking for Finance & Risk Committee meetings 
• Administrative support relating to committee management
