Job description

Director of Fundraising

AllChild

London, UK (Hybrid options available)

Full-time and permanent role
Salary: Highly competitive to attract an outstanding professional

Help every child and young person flourish.

How?  Help us double our income and deepen our impact.

We’re a national charity with a local heartbeat — working with communities so that every child and young person can access the right support, at the right time, in the right way.  Our place-based approach is rooted in early identification, trusted adult relationships, whole child/whole system support and joined-up communities.

Our model has been successfully funded so far through a unique collective impact funding model across local and central government, schools and philanthropy, and we aim for a broader mix of funders who are committed to transforming their communities.  As we embark on our second decade, we are ready for this next chapter: scaling our place-based model nationally and doubling our annual income from £8m to £16m+.  To achieve this, we are now seeking an exceptional Director of Fundraising, who will help to design and drive a roadmap for a significant increase in philanthropy alongside the public sector engagement team.

This is more than a fundraising role or a seat at the Executive Team table.  It’s a chance to shape strategy, influence systems, and unlock the investment needed to transform outcomes for thousands more children and young people.  It will therefore take an exceptional individual to lead and deliver our income strategy across all non-government funding streams — building powerful partnerships with major donors, Trusts & Foundations and corporations.  You’ll define and articulate compelling cases for support, build and steward significant donor relationships, and grow a high-performing team who are ready to match this next level of our ambition.  If you’ve personally secured transformational gifts, built teams that thrive, and know how to turn vision into strong philanthropic propositions, this is your chance and platform to enact real and lasting change.

Underpinning your success in this role will be your broad and robust track record of developing attractive philanthropic opportunities, and engaging high-value donors and securing gifts at the 6-figure level or more.  Your natural flair for story-telling and influencing, and approachable and collegial personal style, swiftly engenders trust from those around you.  Your entrepreneurial and enterprising mindset, and highly developed interpersonal skills, will inspire confidence and motivate others to drive change.  This is a very hands-on role so experience in high-growth charities will be highly desirable, and you will need to be able to navigate some ambiguity and “the new” as we grow.  Whether you are securing the gift or supporting others in the success of this, most importantly, you are motivated by achieving transformative outcomes that matter.

If you’re driven by purpose, inspired by growth and ready to unlock transformational funding for children across the UK, we’d love to hear from you.  If you’re interested in hearing more, please contact our recruitment partner at Richmond Associates on +44 (0)20 3617 9240 or you can download further details from their website by following the Apply button.
