The BSAVA have an exciting opportunity for an experienced educational course administrator to act as Academic Operations Manager for our Postgraduate Certificate programmes. The successful candidate will manage the coordination and administration of all accredited programmes within the Continuing Education Department. About the BSAVA:
The BSAVA is a professional membership association which exists to advance care for companion animals. With a membership of more than 10,000 veterinary surgeons, vet nurses and students, we work in the UK and internationally to promote excellence in small animal practice through education and science, by facilitating training, conducting research, and developing policy. Each year we deliver numerous education courses, host BSAVA events and publish books, manuals, apps, and magazines.

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week within the Continuing Education team.

Key Purpose:
To work as part of a team that provide high quality casework and grant applications to farming people that come to RABI for support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality information, advice and guidance in an empathetic and professional manner.
- Conduct a holistic needs assessment for each service user according to their individual circumstances.
- Manage a caseload of beneficiaries working with each service user to establish the most appropriate sources of support and agree an action/support plan with them.
- Collation of evidence for grants applications, checking that essential criteria have been met and progressing applications to the next stage of RABI’s internal grants process.
- Provide a face-to-face service when there is an over-riding need to do so by visiting service users.
- Collaborate with other agencies/service providers who can offer additional support options.
- Liaise with partners, ensuring that agreed actions are followed up.
- Log and communicate details of cases in a timely and accurate manner to ensure that records are up to date and the wider team has the information they need to provide support.
- Explore, assess and escalate any safeguarding concerns according to the RABI safeguarding policy.
- Contribute constructively to the development of the Service Delivery team and function, for the benefit of service users.

About the Role
As our Senior Legacy Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the strategic development and delivery of Compassion in World Farming’s legacy marketing programme across the UK and internationally. This is a vital role within our Global Fundraising team, offering the opportunity to help shape a sector leading legacy strategy, that inspires supporters to leave a lasting gift for farm animals and the planet.
As part of this exciting role, you’ll be responsible for all UK legacy marketing communications, from direct mail and digital campaigns to events and supporter engagement, ensuring our messaging is compelling, compassionate, and aligned with our values. Internationally, you’ll help to support the fundraising teams in six key markets (France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, USA, and Poland) to deliver locally relevant legacy campaigns, providing strategic guidance, content, and training.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a confident and strategic legacy marketing professional, with a proven track record of delivering impactful campaigns that inspire supporters to leave a very special gift. You’ll need to have a deep understanding of legacy fundraising, ideally gained within the charity or NGO sector, and be comfortable working across both UK and international markets.
You’ll need be highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with outstanding copywriting and creative skills. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Fundraising and Engagement who will work across the Trust to shape compelling campaigns, supporter and visitor journeys which mobilise the powerful potential which volunteering and community organising offers to take action for wildlife and to create a nature positive future.
You will have the hunger to tap into the significant fundraising potential and the confidence to cultivate and develop positive relationships with high-level contacts in companies, grant funders and among high-net-worth individuals. We are also looking for someone with an outstanding track record in securing major strategic grant funding and corporate partnerships and developing major donor programmes to ensure our programmes of work provide showcases of how nature can recover in Yorkshire.
You will be joining an established extended leadership team who have been working together for a number of years, diverse in thinking style and with deep commitment to our cause and the Trust’s success. You will also work closely with our Trustee Board, which is vibrant, engaged and supportive, and manage a large Directorate of currently 65 staff.

We’re looking for someone who is well-organised, solutions-focused, and can adapt their skills to the development and delivery of a diverse range of projects.
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, skilled and passionate Project Development Manager to join our England Project Management team, working primarily in the South of England.
The England Project Management Team manage all sorts of projects, from species recovery at a landscape scale to infrastructure repairs and commercial developments. Each day as a Project Development Manager is different. You might find yourself chairing a project team meeting one day, visiting a construction site the next, and negotiating with contractors the day after that.
As a Project Development Manager, you will directly manage some of the most ambitious and complex projects within the RSPB. At the same time, you will work closely with the Operations Director and Area Managers in the Southern region to develop a pipeline of projects across the South, and make sure they’re being well-managed.
Our project teams include colleagues from a range of disciplines as well as external consultants and suppliers. You’ll need to be able to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders and motivate others to get things done to keep projects progressing smoothly.
Key activities will include:
- Develop and manage one or more complex projects at any one time. To include budget management, stakeholder management, risk management, contractor procurement and other tasks as required.
- Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project success by focusing on a common goal.
- Develop and oversee a pipeline of projects that contribute to delivery against strategic priorities, working with regional/country management teams.
- Provide support & advice to the regional /country management team to enable them to use the PMF effectively to deliver strategic priorities and successful projects (including ensuring project assurance is in place).
- Line management of more junior project management team members.
- Provide advice and support to colleagues on project management best practice, helping to build overall project management capability across England.
- Be an advocate for Cora, the RSPB’s on-line project management system.
- Undertake project reviews as commissioned by the management team/other stakeholders including other regions & countries to ensure lessons are learned, best practice shared, and capability increased.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Proven project management skills relating to planning and managing complex projects, managing risks/costs/time and leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ability to influence others, communicate effectively, build collaborative relationships and represent the organisation.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and approaches, with the ability to support more junior colleagues in this area.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and working in partnership to achieve shared outcomes.
- Ability to solve issues quickly, efficiently and creatively.
- Cost and budget management.
- Impressive time management and organisational skills.
- A tangible passion for the planet.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Project or Programme Management Qualification (APMPMQ, Prince 2, MSP).
- Experience of relevant projects such as habitat creation/restoration, building renovations (particularly visitor facilities), multi-partner projects, community engagement.
- Line management experience.
