Role Description

The Head of Income and Engagement is responsible for diversifying and growing Dog Aid Scotland’s fundraising income streams as well as overseeing the charities strategic communications and marketing activity. Reporting directly to the CEO, the postholder will develop and deliver a comprehensive Income and Engagement Strategy that ensures sustainable income growth, deepens supporter engagement and increases awareness of this long-standing charity. As well as working at a high level, this will be a hands on, operational role which is expected to work directly with donors and lead on fundraising activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of Income and Engagement Strategies aimed to grow income sustainably and significantly increase awareness of the charity
• Grow income from individual giving, regular giving, fundraising events and legacy giving, whilst looking to develop further income streams such as major donors, trusts and foundations in future.
• Develop strong donor journey that's engaging, from recruitment and stewardship to longer term donor retention.
• Create and deliver engagement strategy focused on growing brand awareness, deepening engagement and understanding of the charity, its impact and services.

We’re looking for a Head of Supporter Development to oversee our supporter communications journey, collaborating with various teams to ensure our supporters receive the best care and attention.

What does this role do?
As Head of Supporter Development, you will:

• Lead and transform how we engage with supporters, embedding a cultural shift and supporting teams to deliver on strategic objectives,
• Implement the supporter engagement strategy, including producing annual plans and a programme for regularly monitoring and evaluation activity, continuously improving the approach to enhance outcomes,
• Ensure all fundraising activities and products are audience led, using audience insight to inform decision making and ensuring high standards are upheld,
• Develop and manage budgets for supporter engagement activity.

This role is a fixed term, family leave cover contract until March 2027. Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 1st June 2026, and will take place on Teams.

RSPCA Finchley, Golders Green, Hendon & District Branch

About the role

At the RSPCA Finchley Branch, we are seeking a practical and organised Branch Manager to support the delivery and development of our local animal welfare services and the oversight of our retail operations through the line management of Shop Managers.

This is a strategic role with a hands-on focus on operational delivery, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across animal welfare, retail operations through the line management of Shop Managers and volunteer activity. Working closely with Trustees, the postholder will help ensure that services are delivered effectively, safely and in line with our charitable objectives, with a clear focus on achieving positive outcomes for animals and the community.

The role is hybrid, combining remote working with regular travel across the branch area, including visits to our charity shops in East Finchley and North Finchley, as well as occasional in-person meetings and operational activity where needed to deliver the Branch outcomes in line with the agreed objectives and priorities.

In this role, you will

You will be responsible for the effective delivery of animal welfare outcomes across the branch, ensuring animals are safely supported from intake through to rehoming, while also supporting the RSPCA Inspectorate. Alongside this, you will oversee day-to-day branch operations, including managing a small team of staff and volunteers, overseeing the performance of the branch’s retail activity through the line management of Shop Managers to contribute to sustainable income.

Working with the Chair and the relevant Trustee portfolio lead, including the Treasurer, to ensure financial oversight, governance and compliance and to deliver the agreed objectives, and working with veterinary partners, staff and volunteers, other RSPCA branches as well as other charities, you will ensure that services are delivered consistently, responsibly and in line with the branch’s priorities.

About you

You will be comfortable working in a role that combines strategic and operational responsibilities, and able to organise your workload effectively. You will have experience of coordinating services or operations and managing both staff and volunteers, achieving results through effective line management, and bring a genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes through well-organised and consistent delivery. You will also have a calm and practical approach, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, volunteers and the local community, and a strong commitment to delivering meaningful and lasting outcomes for animals.

The Role

This is a part time role working as part of a small, dedicated team who aim to create happy homes for dogs across Scotland. Although it will be expected to be in the office each week, some hybrid working will be available.

• Strategic finance and business leadership, responsible for all of charities accounts and financial processes
• Financial planning and budgeting, including putting together budgets, producing forecasts and management accounts
• Working closely with CEO on long term financial planning that aligns and enables wider charity strategy

Role Purpose: 

• To support the Centre Manager to promote the mission, vision and values of the organisation, working with the organisations Core Principles. Ensuring quality standards, so that all dogs are cared for as outlined in our Dog Welfare policies. In addition, support the Centre staff and volunteers to maximise their skills for the benefit of the dogs in our care.
• To identify problem behaviours, whilst also assessing risk and welfare in relation to dogs and lead the work with these dogs to change their behaviour, with an aim to secure them the best chance of a successful transition to a home.
• Taking the lead in setting training and behaviour plans, working with the management team to ensure they are delivered.
• To support dogs, where it is necessary to receive veterinary support when related to behaviour.
• To take responsibility for those dogs in Special Measures or referral who require significant support and behaviour modification and in addition, when necessary and appropriate, make welfare and risk led recommendations.
• To support dogs in our communities, to strive to reduce relinquishment.
• To support all staff and volunteers to further develop skills in dog behaviour and training. Sharing knowledge and supporting prospective adopters or members of the public.
• Work as part of the Centre Trainer peer group, supporting all Jerry Green Centres, to share best practice and knowledge and where required attend other centres to support peers. In addition, support project work where required.

· Ensure the highest standards of customer care are delivered to all centre visitors and contacts by presenting a professional and friendly approach.

· Provide centre staff and volunteers with on-going training in areas such as dog behaviour, training and welfare.

· Help develop Dog Welfare Assistant knowledge to promote dogs through Meet&Match®.

· Support fosterers and adopters before and after adoption.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Degree qualified or extensive experience in rescue with significant, relevant CPD.

About the role 

As our Social Media Manager, you’ll play a key role in raising Compassion in World Farming’s public profile and driving engagement with our UK campaigns. You’ll use social media to communicate our strategic objectives, inspire action, and support our mission to end factory farming by 2040.

As part of our UK Communications Team, this role blends strategy, creativity, and community engagement. You’ll work closely with campaigns, fundraising, supporter engagement, and HQ teams to deliver high‑quality, impactful social content.

As our Social Media Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

• Managing Compassion in World Farming’s UK social media channels, delivering engaging content and effective community management
• Inputting into and delivering the UK social media content, broadcast and engagement strategy
• Developing and overseeing creative social media content, including video, graphics, and live coverage from events
• Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on social media performance to inform continuous improvement

An exciting opportunity to drive brand marketing and digital work that will help end animal cruelty in the name of ‘sport’.  

What You’ll Do:  

As our Head of Marketing, you will drive the League’s brand marketing and digital work. You will provide leadership for our Digital and Brand & Creative teams, overseeing our development of marketing collateral including our website, social media, and printed materials. You also manage brand and marketing projects and activities, including the tracking of audience insights and the development of our target audience profiles, and you will be responsible for the League’s ambassador programme.

In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring that our campaigns, communications and fundraising activity are aligned, effective and rooted in strong audience insight. You will also deputise for our Director of Fundraising and Marketing as required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the League’s Marketing teams (encompassing its Digital and Brand & Creative teams) and all their activities, including the development and delivery of brand, marketing and social media materials and campaigns, to maximise awareness and support for the charity.
• Provide inspiring leadership to manage and motivate staff to deliver on their targets, by ensuring they have clear objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs) and development plans.
• Coordinate creative support to all teams, particularly Campaigns and Fundraising.
• Manage assigned marketing and awareness projects (e.g. the Business Without Bloodsports Pledge), to drive support for our work.
• Manage the development and use of our key target audience profiles.
• Manage the League’s Ambassador programme, of celebrity supporters and high-profile influencers.
• Oversee brand guardianship across all channels, both offline and online, to ensure all collateral adheres to guidelines.
• Manage our brand guidelines including visual and verbal identity, to drive consistency throughout the League.
• Conduct supporter research as required, including to test and develop new initiatives

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Corporate Partnerships Manager to join our Income & Engagement team for a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and grow a portfolio of high-value corporate partnerships, while also developing new relationships that deliver long-term impact.

In this role, you’ll lead on the stewardship and development of existing partners, ensuring relationships are well-managed, deliver real value, and continue to grow. Alongside this, you’ll identify and secure new business opportunities, creating compelling proposals and building a strong pipeline of prospective partners aligned to our mission.

This role requires someone who is confident managing senior stakeholder relationships, able to balance strategic thinking with delivery, and comfortable working across a complex organisation to bring partnerships to life. You’ll need to be proactive, resilient, and able to spot and act on opportunities to maximise income and impact.Someone who is creative, brings energy and ideas to our team and the wider organisation and has the drive and judgement to turn them into meaningful, deliverable partnerships.

To be successful, you’ll have significant experience in corporate partnerships or fundraising, with a strong track record of securing and managing high-value partnerships. You’ll be an excellent communicator, a credible relationship manager, and someone who brings energy, creativity and sound judgement to your work.

This role will operate in a hybrid working environment and although much of it can be done remotely our successful candidate must be able to attend our offices near Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire (PE29 2NH) for an average of once a month.  Occasional travel may also be required for partner meetings.  Internally this role is known as Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager.

The starting salary for this position is £36,665 - £44,812 pro rata per annum depending on experience. This will be complemented by;

• Pro rata equivalent of 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days pro rata per annum after five years
