The Director of Development will architect and steer a complete fundraising strategy that amplifies the Theatres’ financial resilience and propels its strategic ambitions in line with the current Strategic Plan 2024-2029. The postholder will cultivate and deepen relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders including donors, sponsors and partners and will personally work with the Theatre’s most committed donors. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Development will innovate within fundraising campaigns and use their skills in major donor fundraising to expand the Theatre’s financial base.
The best person for this position will be able to demonstrate a track record of securing significant funding within the UK arts sector and will enjoy realising ambitious fundraising strategies that have advanced an organisation’s mission. You will have a history of leading fundraising teams and of working as a collaborative, compelling leadership voice across an organisation.

Person Specification

The Role

As Executive Producer you will;
1. Work with the other Executive Producers to manage the producing and programme delivery function for Factory International, effectively and efficiently, over all programmes of work across the Festival and Factory International.
2. Act as an Executive Producer overseeing delivery of a range of new artistic commissions, presentations, and other events as appropriate for the Festival and Factory International, providing support to line Producers from R&D through to presentation of the projects in Manchester and internationally.

Producing Function Management
• To manage the staffing needs of the Producing and Programme Department, leading on recruitment, induction and training and line management of Producers, Event Managers and support staff

We are working in partnership with Hampshire Cultural Trust (HCT), who were established as an independent charity in 2014. HCT operate visitor attractions, galleries, museums, and arts centres across Hampshire, and are responsible for conserving and maintaining one of the largest and most significant regional collections of historical artefacts in the country. HCT are now seeking to appoint a Director of Development to lead and deliver a trust-wide strategic approach to fundraising, in alignment with organisational needs and priorities. The director will develop and lead a high performing team and will be responsible for growing income from a range of sources, including trusts and grants, individual giving and developing a philanthropy programme based on a portfolio of designated funds to support strategic projects and ongoing revenue funding. In the role, you will be responsible for leading the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles at the group level, as well as ensuring that monthly reporting is timely, accurate, and continuously evolving to best suit the needs of the business. Key areas of responsibilities;

- Coordinate the review of actual and forecast results against budget, obtaining and recording variance explanations, identifying material issues and mitigating actions.

Role of the Company Administrator
The Administrator will be responsible for the key administration functions of the Trust; planning, directing, managing, and coordinating all operational functions including the office management, day to day finance records, events support and site maintenance.
1. Overall
1.1 To be part of the inspiring work of the National Paralympic Heritage Trust, supporting the wider team and often being the first line of contact to visitors and partners in person, online and via telephone.
1.2 Manage the provision of office services including the management of day to day finance and payments, staff rotas, stationary orders, supporting events and bookings and ensuring the smooth running of the office.
1.3 Organising the day-to-day maintenance of the Heritage Centre and the displays at the National Spinal Injuries Centre.
Main Duties
1.4 The management of office systems, operating practices, record keeping, policies and budget monitoring systems including supporting returns to funders, monthly invoicing records and payments.
1.5 Administration of training, Heritage Centre bookings, events and meetings, including organising catering when relevant.
1.6 Management of general correspondence, answering phone calls, managing the admin mailbox and processing post.
1.7 Oversight and coordination of environmental action plans.
1.8 Drafting, formatting, and printing of relevant documents for meetings as required.

The NPHT was formed in 2015 with the core purpose to ‘enlighten and inspire future generations by celebrating, cherishing and bringing the Paralympic heritage and its stories of human endeavour to life’ and in doing so, to challenge negative perceptions of disability. 2.2 To manage the ‘access to work’ programmes.
2.3 To act as a work coach to the trainees, helping them deliver their work plans.
2.4 To support the ‘Learning Manager and Collections Engagement Officer’ with the provision of volunteers for their programmes of work.
2.5 To support the work placement’s programme and individuals completing them, by planning out the work in liaison across the team and helping the ‘Head of Programmes’ carry out the work.
