As a Conservation Projects Manager and a key member of the national Conservation team, you will work with experienced consultants and skilled craftspeople, with national and regional colleagues, volunteers, local partners and stakeholders to develop and manage a range of holistic, conservation and new use projects, from inception to completion, and providing professional advice and support to community led projects.  You will lead on all capital, conservation and maintenance, programmes in the region.

You will have expertise and specialist knowledge in the field of historic building repair and conservation, and a proven track record of project management (client side) in the heritage sector. You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across the region, but not exclusively, it is essential you have a full driving license.

Main responsibilities will include:

Prospecting and research

• Research the funding market, tracking and identifying suitable high value tendering, commissioning and partnership opportunities and funding streams, in line with Artswork’s strategic plans, priorities, Fundraising and Social & Ethical Policies

• Conduct regular, timely reviews of published tenders and funding opportunities, in order to make recommendations to the Head of Business Development on which ones to pursue

• Establish a focused, qualified pipeline of prospective funders, investors, sponsors and donors Bid development

• Working to the strategic guidance of the Head of Business Development, prepare funding bids, tenders and sponsorship proposals, meeting funders' procurement and management requirements

• Lead the budget development process for bids, ensuring compliance with Artswork’s internal finance policies and funder requirements

Arts Emergency is looking for an enthusiastic person to join its dynamic Fundraising & Marketing team.

We are seeking a Fundraising Assistant at York Minster Fund for an initial fixed term contract of 12 months, commencing summer 2024. York Minster Fund is the lead fundraising partner for York Minster. We are an independent organisation, with a separate board of Trustees, who work closely with colleagues across the Cathedral to secure income for a number of much needed projects and programmes of work. Established in 1967, as an emergency response to an urgent restoration project, we secure funds from charitable foundations, major and corporate donors, legacy donors, individuals and events. 

Our funds provide much needed income for a wide range of projects, including the fabric and repair of the iconic Minster itself, the training of apprentices in traditional heritage crafts and strategic initiatives such as the realisation of the Minster's new international Centre of Excellence for Heritage Skills and Estate Management. 

In the last year we have built on existing strong fundraising relationships and techniques to explore new ways of engaging donors and digital audiences and this is an exciting time to join the Fund as we move forward on a number of major projects. As part of our small but highly experienced team, no two days are the same and the role could see you supporting with many different projects and tasks including donor events administration and delivery, correspondence and research.

The role

This exciting role within NLOS’s senior management team was created to help bring greater strategic alignment across NLOS and its charities and to better capitalise on new and existing opportunities. The post is critical to ensuring that we maximise the resources available to us through increased income generation and by forging strategic partnerships across multiple sectors and fields that allow us to increase and leverage support for each charity and provide a world class customer experience, while protecting and preserving green spaces of international significance. All activities will be undertaken with a priority to conserve the natural spaces we oversee, and to ensure that income generated at each site is reinvested back into the charity/site where it was raised.

• Supported by the Joint Principals, Head of Communications, the Creative Commercial Director and the Board: The Senior Development Manager will drive forward fundraising at Chetham’s and ensure that storytelling is used creatively to promote our vision – to make music and education more accessible, to enrich the lives of people in Manchester and beyond, and to improve wellbeing through the magic of music and learning. The role is ideally suited to somebody looking to grow into a senior fundraising role, and you will be supported by colleagues and mentorship from board members.
• Our development team is small but ambitious and includes a part time Development Manager and full time Fundraising Administrator. Working alongside our communications department, the development team manage a variety of income streams including a successful trust and foundation portfolio, donations, growing major donor and patron programme. There is opportunity to grow income from regular giving, legacies and corporate.
• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years fundraising experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and confidence working with a range of different stakeholders. Experience working in a similar arts organisation with a track record of securing five-figure gifts and a knowledge of database systems is highly desirable.
• This a full time, permanent role working 35 per week.

Join Global’s Make Some Noise as our Senior Brand Partnerships Executive and be at the forefront of driving fundraising income through securing and account managing corporate partnerships. You'll be instrumental in driving new business fundraising income through securing purpose-led media partnerships, in aid of our charity Make Some Noise.

Guide Salary:

The salary for this role is circa £28,000.

Measures of success – 

In the first few months, you would have:

• Secured substantial new partnership income by crafting compelling proposals, with particular focus on sponsorships for our flagship annual appeal "Make Some Noise Day."

• Developed a solid understanding of Global’s Radio, Digital, and Outdoor platforms in order to leverage them effectively for charity partnership campaigns.

• Provided exceptional account management and smooth project implementation, ensuring partnership deliverables align with key objectives.

Responsibilities of the role

• Be responsible for securing a fixed amount of new business income annually. Identify and secure new high-value partners through proactive prospecting, engaging pitches, and effective relationship building. 

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless partnership delivery, including Campaigns, Talent, Finance, Legal, Commercial planning and more.

• Brainstorm creative branded content ideas and partnership solutions to meet both proactive and reactive briefs.

• Produce comprehensive post-campaign partnership reports to summarize activities to highlight key learnings and recommendations.

• Diligently manage partnership accounts, providing materials, resources, contracts and project plans as required.

• Provide support to Head of Brand Partnerships on all projects and practice adaptability according to external and internal priorities.

• Develop strong working relationships and exceed expectations with partners secure repeat business.

• Produce compelling case studies and pitch documents to support new business endeavours and potential award entries.

• Support with financial reporting, income tracking and forecasting.

What you will need

• Proven track record of creating new business pipelines and meeting ambitious fundraising / sales targets, with a goal-oriented mindset.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong project management abilities, with excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Passion for pitching to big brands, coupled with strong design and copywriting skills.
• Creative thinking ability, from problem-solving to generating innovative ideas.=

Desirable qualifications

• Experience in media and/or charity environments.

• Track record of securing six-figure sum multiyear partnerships.

• Experience partnering with major UK consumer-facing brands and companies.
