Events Executive

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Events Executive to play an integral part in the day-to-day co-ordination of high-profile events and on the day event management.
As a competent communicator, you will feel at ease liaising with clients, from the initial contract to help with the coordination of their event and will ensure that all relevant stakeholders have copies of the necessary requirements. You will arrange the meeting spaces and adhere to the client brief and budget, working closely with the other departments to set up any additional equipment, whilst adhering to relevant regulations. Hitting the ground running, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and managing the Sponsorship and Exhibition (SPEX) system to ensure a smooth and efficient process for the sponsors and events team. As an ambassador for them, you will be the main point of contact for event queries both during the preparation and on the day, ensuring that all sponsors and contractors are kept up to date and welcomed in a friendly and professional manner.
With experience, and/or proven know-how of arranging corporate events, you will be accustomed to coordinating a variety of events including managing budgets and allocating resources. You’ll be self-motivated and will be able to manage several projects simultaneously, adapting to any sudden changes in the priorities and will demonstrate a flexible approach to work. Due to the nature of the role, you will be willing to travel to different UK locations and overseas when required.

Do you have a genuine interest in managing membership data and processing membership income? Are you keen to be a database champion and be responsible for the integrity of data? If so, this role could be for you.
Your responsibilities will include being an expert user of Microsoft Dynamics with the ability to perform complex database processes, queries and exports.
Ideally, you will have excellent communication and numeracy skills, with the ability to act as the membership team’s key contact for data and income processing. You will have experience of processing Direct Debit payments, expertise in managing Gift Aid claims with an excellent knowledge of Gift Aid regulations.
You will have in-depth knowledge and significant experience of using Microsoft Dynamics at supervisor level for data entry, data administration and reporting.

Location: This role can be based at any one of the Arts Council of Wales offices in Cardiff, Colwyn Bay or Carmarthen.We are currently working in a hybrid way.
The International Co-ordinator supports the effective delivery of Wales Arts International’s activities, its projects and services. This includes the development of international information services, co-ordination of communication, correspondence and appointments. It also involves the planning, organisation and administration of internal and external meetings, events and conferences and participation in delivering frontline contact work with sectors in Wales and in international contexts.
The primary focus of this specific role is to provide a high quality administrative and support service to Arts Infopoint UK. It will work alongside the Arts Infopoint UK Officer, Arts Infopoint UK partners and the Wales Arts International team.
Arts Infopoint UK is an initiative to support the arts sector with information on practical issues relating to artist international mobility. Arts Council of Wales’s international agency, Wales Arts International (WAI), is leading the project in partnership with Creative Scotland, Arts Council England, and Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
About you
You will have well developed IT and administrative skills, good communication skills and experience of supporting the organisation of events and dealing with people in events, conferences and other group contexts at an organisational level.
Welsh language
We work in both English and Welsh. Fluency in Welsh (both written and spoken) is desirable but not essential for this post. Upon appointment we can support you to learn, develop and improve your language skills and to increase your confidence in speaking and writing in Welsh.

This is an exciting new opportunity, and we are looking for a motivated person who has carpentry skills to become part of our highly skilled and respected Conservation Workshop team.
This is a practical role where day-to-day you will work on or construct supporting elements for the art collection, providing innovative solutions for its conservation and preservation. You will care for, handle, prepare and maintain artworks and their associated components for safe storage, transit, installation and display. You will work on a broad range of conservation activities and provide technical support for the artworks in Tate’s collection and care.
It is essential that you hold a recognised City & Guilds qualification in carpentry and joinery or cabinet making or equivalent. You will have demonstrable practical experience with broad range of developed craft skills including carpentry, metalworking and machine maintenance. We’re looking for good problem-solving skills, a team player and an effective communicator.
