We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Head of Fundraising to join Thames Gateway Youth Zone, an ambitious new local charity and part of the nationally respected OnSide Youth Zones Network, as it prepares to open its doors in Winter 2027. Thames Gateway Youth Zone will be a state-of-the-art space where thousands of young people each year can feel safe, inspired and ambitious for their futures.
As part of this exciting role, you will lead all fundraising activity during a critical pre?opening phase, with a strong initial focus on securing significant gifts from major donors, high net worth individuals and corporate partners. You will personally drive a Founder Patron campaign, working closely with senior stakeholders, trustees and the OnSide Network, before growing and leading a high-performing fundraising team as the Youth Zone moves towards opening. This role combines hands-on delivery with long-term strategic leadership, sitting on the Senior Leadership Team and playing a central role in the success of the organisation.

To be successful as the Head of Fundraising you will need:

• A strong track record of securing six?figure gifts from major donors, corporates and/or high net worth individuals
• Experience of developing and delivering a fundraising strategy and working closely with trustees or senior stakeholders
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build, motivate and inspire a successful fundraising team
