About the role

As Head of Fundraising & Marketing at North Yorkshire Hospice Care, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading the growth and direction of our Income Generation team, driving forward the fundraising and marketing activity that underpins Saint Michael’s Hospice, Herriot Hospice, and our bereavement and emotional wellbeing service, Just ‘B’. With responsibility for delivering nearly £3 million in annual income – and the ambition to grow this beyond £5 million – you’ll shape strategy, inspire your teams, and build lasting relationships with donors, partners and volunteers. You’ll bring creativity and vision to identifying new commercial opportunities, diversifying income streams, and ensuring our supporter experience is nothing short of exceptional.

About this role

This is an exciting role that will lead the relationship management of our most important, high value retail brands, without which our service could not be delivered. Supported by the Head of Events & Community Fundraising, you will work closely with the Partnerships Team and the Wardrobe Team to deliver essential client and events stock. In addition to delivering client and events stock, you will also focus on raising money from retail partners, particularly with activations linked to International Women’s Day and Giving Tuesday.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of retail brands, conducting excellent stewardship, bespoke tailored support, with a real understanding and insight into the challenges and opportunities within the retail sector, and an ability to influence and negotiate on the charity’s behalf. 

We seek an excellent relationship manager, with strong written and verbal communication skills, an ability to influence senior stakeholders and exceed set targets. An understanding of women’s fashion would also be advantageous.

You will be responsible for developing our community engagement work in the West Midlands, as well as supporting the wider UK work. This work consists of developing the Safeguarding Action Groups (SAG) and also encouraging members of the local rail industry to engage with our training and become part of the safety net for vulnerable young people on the rail network. The role will require working closely with British Transport Police, station staff and employees as well as local services in the area.

Centre 33’s Wellbeing team offer a diverse support offer to (primarily) young people aged 13-25 and founded in the principles of low intensity CBT (Guided Self Help). Working closely alongside other Centre 33 services, the team are responsible for the delivery of interventions via the Guided Self Help pathway, to young people who have self-referred or consented to a parent/professional referral to address early emerging mental health difficulties such as low mood and anxiety. In addition, the team apply creative approaches to create, adapt and share evidenced based GSH materials that are shared via one off sessions, workshops, training and events. The team design psychoeducational and wellbeing strategy- based resources for use both internally (social media campaigns and website) and externally (eg. schools). The Wellbeing team consists of a blend of Senior CWP, Qualified CWPs and Trainee CWPs.

About The Role
We are hoping to welcome an approachable and knowledgeable Dementia Adviser to work alongside our external partners and current Dementia advisors in Mid-Cornwall. 
This is a community based role, often requiring home visits and community engagement as well as home working. This is an amazing opportunity to have a rewarding career providing support and guidance to people with dementia and their carers. The role is part of a new Multi-agency contract, including Disability Cornwall, Memory Matters, Alzheimer’s society and Cornwall Foundation Trust, working alongside the Primary Care Dementia Practitioners, to provide support to individuals affected by Dementia county wide.
You will be:
- Offering a vital and compassionate advice service to support and guide those affected by dementia
- Provide community based, face to face services for an increased level of support for more complex cases.
- Managing referrals, assisting clients in assessing their information and support needs in a person-centred manner.
- Providing knowledgeable and trusted information regarding services and benefits available and, where appropriate, assist clients in accessing them.
- Signposting clients to a choice of suitable other sources of help, where appropriate.
- Developing a proactive approach in reaching people with dementia and carers who may not otherwise access our services.

There is no direct care element to the Dementia Adviser role, however we work passionately to provide advice, support and guidance to people affected by dementia. This role will support people who have received a Dementia Diagnosis and help provide the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future post diagnostically.

This is an 18-month Fixed Term Contract and a full-time role, at 35 hours a week.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about youth engagement, creative resource development, and global civil society collaboration.

As Youth Participation Adviser (Grants & Strategy Support), you will collaborate with young people and civil society partners globally to co-create pilot tools and resources that enable the scaling up of youth participation through the Youth Leaders for Nutrition programme.

In this role, you will: 

• Capture learnings from our existing program to inform the design of the next phase for the program.

• Co-develop:

• Toolkits to strengthen meaningful youth engagement at the national level across our global network.

• A youth inclusion checklist for SUN Civil Society Alliances (CSAs).

• Safeguarding guidance and training resources in collaboration with Save the Children UK's safeguarding team.

• Manage the distribution of small grants to SUN Civil Society Alliances, carrying out due diligence, monitoring the grant reporting from recipients, and reporting on progress and impact to donors.

• Develop creative and impactful ways to gather, analyse and present stories and data from the Youth Leaders for Nutrition programme to support strategy and fundraising.

• Work directly with regional advisors, national alliance leaders and other SUN stakeholders to ensure multi-stakeholder alignment at every level.

• Occasionally represent the SUN CSN Secretariat in internal and external meetings, helping to shape the youth engagement strategy for 2026–2030.

About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• The ability to connect naturally with young people, understand their needs, and confidently lead both group discussions and one-on-one conversations.

• Experience in youth mobilisation, campaigning, advocacy and/or communications.

• Experience in small grant management including distribution, due diligence, monitoring and reporting.

About the opportunity

The Training Officer will have a range of administrative responsibilities relating to Action Tutoring’s tutor training delivery and curriculum resources.

As Training Officer, you will support the Training Team by scheduling sessions in digital systems, organising and checking ID and DBS documents submitted by volunteer tutors, and responding to enquiries to support a smooth tutor journey. The role does not involve delivering training to volunteers

You will also support with managing the version history and corrections of our bespoke tutoring curriculum resources, helping keep our online library of materials accurate and up to date.
