Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker looking for a flexible role where you can make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people? Join Barnardo's Midlands Fostering Families and become part of a supportive, child-centred team committed to helping children flourish in safe, stable and nurturing foster homes.

This part-time position will support foster families across the Midlands region, providing high-quality supervision, support and guidance to foster carers. Working within a hybrid model, you will have the flexibility to balance home and community-based working, with travel across the Midlands required to visit foster families, attend meetings and support service delivery.

As a Fostering Social Worker, you will play a key role in assessing, supervising and developing foster carers, helping them provide the best possible care for children and young people. You will build strong relationships with carers, children, local authorities and partner agencies, ensuring children's needs remain at the heart of all decision-making.

We are seeking a qualified Social Worker with excellent relationship-building skills, a strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children. Experience in fostering, looked after children services or wider children's social care is desirable.

In return, Barnardo's offers flexible hybrid working, ongoing professional development opportunities, a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to be part of one of the UK's leading children's charities.

Join us and help transform children's lives through the power of fostering.
