The accountancy provides fully scalable finance and operations teams to organisations in the not-for-profit sector, freeing up their clients’ time and enabling them to do what they do best and make life changing impact. 

The role is available on a permanent contract and full-time basis. This is a hybrid role where the postholder will be based at the accountancy firm’s London office 2-3 days a week. The salary banding is £45,000-£50,000 + a discretionary bonus of up to 10%.

In this role, you will take charge of the provision of routine management accounts and cash flow forecasts. You will build budgets and longer-term financial planning. You will produce year-end accounts and manage relationships with stakeholders. You will support with funding proposals and donor reporting. You will ensure that the day-to-day financial accounting activity of each charity is undertaken efficiently and effectively. You will review and improve systems, procedures, and policies. You will also present financial updates to the Executive Teams and Board, providing strategic advice.

To be successful in this role, you will have relevant finance knowledge, either by qualification or experience. You will have experience of producing management accounts and external reporting. You will have experience using SME accounting software/systems and Microsoft Excel. 

You will have strong relationship-building abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will also be self motivated and have the ability to manage your own time and workload.

Desirably, you will have experience working in the charity sector.

The Role

As Deputy Shop Manager at our shop in Castleford, you will lead a team of volunteers to raise funds to invest in achieving the charity’s goal to save lives in Yorkshire and portray the charity as a professional, credible brand which acts with integrity. You will also provide excellent customer service, ensuring volunteers, donors and customers know how their contribution is helping the people of Yorkshire.

Specifically, you will:

• Play an active part in running our shop in Castleford, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.
• Provide cover for days off, holidays and sickness as required, with possible occasional travel to other shops to provide support if needed by the charity.
• Support the Shop Manager to maximise the income and profit of the shop through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation.
• Manage a team of well-trained volunteers in the absence of the Shop Manager and take every effort to create a positive retail environment.
• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).
• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.
• Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters.

About You

Legacy Officer (Maternity Cover)

 

Role Summary:

As part of the Major Gifts and Planned Giving team, this role is responsible for managing a caseload of approximately 80 legacy estates, including pecuniary, specific, residuary and life interest estates. The Legacy Officer will also assist the team with legacy enquiries and pledges, supporting donors on their legacy journey, as well as managing PETA’s free will services.

• Administer legacies in a professional and approachable manner, to include correspondence with solicitors and other interested parties
• Maintain departmental information, files, and records related to legacy estates
• Act as the point of contact and grow and mature relationships with stakeholders and external groups in order to attain information needed to carry out the role
• Work with various stakeholders on contested legacies, collaborating with other charities where needed
• Be able to communicate to supporters how important and desirable legacies are to PETA
• Respond to enquiries and requests for assistance from Augustus Club members and planned-giving prospects
• Document pertinent information about planned-giving members for the purpose of enhancing and building relationships
• Remain current on estate-planning practices as well as fundraising techniques and methods used in the non-profit sector, attending professional training seminars as needed
• Keep up to date on probate and tax laws, informing the team of any changes

Other

• Maintain a clear understanding of – and the ability to articulate – PETA's objectives as well as details about specific global PETA programmes

Philanthropy and Partnerships fundraising at Alzheimer's Research UK has grown significantly over recent years. The Directorate has a track record of soliciting seven-figure donations and winning significant corporate partnerships with well-known and well-loved brands such as Omaze, Cadbury, Warburtons, Roadchef and Dobbies.

We are now looking to build upon our success by launching a new, significant fundraising appeal. This appeal will help drive further transformational growth, from income across majors donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners. Ultimately, it will help us funding cutting-edge research that will bring forward the day when we can diagnose, treat and prevent dementia.

As Stewardship Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high quality and meaningful experiences for Alzheimer’s Research UK’s major donors, charitable trusts and corporate partners. The Stewardship Officer will work closely with the Donor Relations Manager and wider Directorate, assisting in the development of creative, personalised communications and materials that help build long-term, impactful relationships with supporters.

The Role

The Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance Office Team and is responsible for all areas of financial accounting, audit, treasury, tax, payroll and endowment management for the College, its trading subsidiaries, and Trusts.

The Finance Office is responsible for delivering best practice accounting so the College is able to make decisions based on accurate and timely information. This role is pivotal in ensuring the Finance Office Team is supported and managed through the delivery of the key responsibilities.

We’re looking for a Policy Officer – Wales to help shape policy, build relationships, and advocate for better support and care for kidney patients. In this brand-new role, you’ll work for Kidney Care UK and Kidney Wales, engaging with policymakers, healthcare professionals, and those affected by kidney disease.

You’ll spend time at the Senedd, building connections with local politicians and councillors, and ensuring the voices of kidney patients are heard loud and clear. With your knowledge of Welsh Government structures (or similar UK experience), you’ll help drive our campaigns and influence change.

You will lead business development and partnership activities - ensuring that the organisation’s courses are evidence-based, aligned to current NHS and sector priorities, and recognised as best-in-class.

This is a dynamic and outward-facing role that will require exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, a clear understanding of the healthcare landscape, and a credible clinical voice. You’ll work closely with the Income Generation team, Learning Design and Quality, and a range of external organisations across the private, public, and voluntary sectors.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• To be a registered healthcare professional, with significant clinical experience

The Role:

Citizens Advice Knowsley is funded by the Money and Pensions Service to deliver debt and money advice.  We are looking to recruit a Project Central Debt Supervisor to provide Technical Supervision as part of Greater Merseyside Money Advice Partnership (GMMAP) Quality team to deliver high quality and effective debt advice and support the GMMAP central team.
