About the role:

This is a rare opportunity to take a clinical role out of a traditional setting and into the heart of Camden’s rough sleeping response. As Clinical Psychologist within our Rough Sleeping Outreach and Hub Service, you will work alongside people who are often navigating mental health challenges alongside homelessness, substance use and other experiences that can make engaging with support feel difficult or unsafe. Your role will be to help bridge that gap, bringing thoughtful, psychologically informed support directly to where it’s needed most.

You’ll combine direct clinical work with a strong focus on influence and impact. This means completing assessments and formulations, supporting access to appropriate mental health pathways, and holding a small caseload for more structured therapeutic work at the hub. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in strengthening how the wider service understands and responds to trauma and mental health, creating space for reflection, shared thinking and more effective ways of supporting clients to move away from the streets and towards safety and longer term stability.

Working closely with outreach teams, hub staff and external partners, you’ll help shape a more joined up and human approach to support. You’ll also line manage and develop an Assistant Psychologist, contributing to both their growth and the wider offer to clients. This is a role where your expertise won’t sit in isolation - it will influence practice, shape culture and ultimately help more people access the support they deserve.

About you:

• You’re a qualified Clinical Psychologist (HCPC registered) with experience supporting adults facing multiple disadvantage, including homelessness, mental health and substance use

Brief role description:

The HR Manager will provide end-to-end, operational and strategic human resources support for the charity's international workforce (excluding APAC). Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and line managers, the role will ensure that people practices are compliant, values-driven, and aligned with our strategy. The postholder will lead on talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, employment relations, policy development, total rewards, and HR vendor management, delivering a pragmatic and high-quality HR service appropriate to a small charity environment.

Main responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

• Lead on talent and succession planning, along with the full recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, role design, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding with the support of the HR Coordinator

• Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and job boards as required.

• Work with the Head of Finance & HR on the annual headcount plan.

• In partnership with Health & Inclusion lead seek to diversify our staff team in line with our commitments in the Diversity Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP)

• Support nominations committee with Trustee Recruitment as required

• Support the set up of new international legal entities where required

2. Employee Lifecycle Management

• Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through probation, development, performance management, and exit.

• Oversee accurate and compliant employee records and HR systems.

• Lead on performance management process, supporting a culture of accountability, development, and feedback and development and utilisation of supporting tools.

• Manage leavers, including resignations, retirements, and departures where applicable.

3. Employment Relations

• Act as the lead point of contact for employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance issues.

• Provide expert advice to managers on employment law, best practice, and risk mitigation.

• Support formal processes, ensuring fairness, consistency, and legal compliance.

4. Line Manager Support & Capability Building

• Coach and advise line managers on people management responsibilities and decision-making.

• Build manager capability through guidance, toolkits, and targeted training.

• Promote consistent people management practices across the organisation.

5. HR Policies, Compliance & Governance

• Develop and Implement the annual “People Plan” in line with Sport England Guidance

• Develop, implement, and regularly review HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with organisational values.

• Maintain an external network to stay up to date and abreast of new developments in the sphere of HR.

• Manage L&D budgets and relationships with external training providers where applicable.

The Active Recovery Project gives adult survivors of abuse the opportunity to take part in community-based activities. Members of Active Recovery can participate in a variety of group activities with others who share or understand their experience and develop peer relationships, resulting in increasing confidence and reduced isolation. The activities are based on ideas from our members and include water-based activities (such as rowing, canoeing, sailing and kayaking), surfing, trips to community spaces and creative sessions (such as arts and crafts). Activities take place every week. Each activity will last approximately 2.5 hours each. Members can attend the group sessions for up to 18 months. 

Job Purpose: 

We are looking for a warm and passionate leader to come and join the Active Recovery Service.

As an Active Recovery Lead, their job will be to develop and deliver the Active Recovery Project in Bristol and in Somerset. Using a trauma-informed approach, the Active Recovery Lead will create and provide a safe and supportive space for clients from The Sexual Violence Alliance organisations (The Southmead Project, SARSAS, Womankind and the Bridge Sarc) to participate in a variety of group activities, with others who share or understand their experience and develop peer relationships, resulting in increasing confidence and reduced isolation. 
 

Principal Tasks:

1. Run two Active Recovery groups a week, with , with the help of the Practitioner.

2. Provide initial trauma-informed assessment phone calls and/or meetings with potential members as part of the registration process for Active Recovery. This includes assessing need, risk and suitability for the service using a trauma-informed approach. 

3. Create safety plans and tailor activity sessions where appropriate after building relationships with members following the initial phone calls.

4. Plan trauma-informed sessions for members, including producing risk assessments for each activity, visiting activity locations and delivering relevant trauma training to activity providers. 

5. Oversee and lead on setting up, delivering and debriefing about activity sessions with members, volunteers and staff. Ensuring members are clear on each session's ground rules and safeguarding processes, using the Member’s Agreement.

6. Provide trauma-informed face-to-face support to members at sessions who may become overwhelmed or require help dealing with flashbacks and dissociation.

7. To support volunteers and staff with safeguarding queries and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed. To be the safeguarding lead at activity sessions, escalating any onward safeguarding referrals and queries to the Southmead Project Designated Safeguarding Lead.

8. Participate in and support the recruitment and induction training of volunteers.

9. Support and line manage a team of volunteers.

10. Develop and maintain an Active Recovery community through email, phone calls, texts and in person.

11. Develop and drive forward the project’s aim to have the members’ voices at the heart of the project.

12. Collaborate with developing outcome processes in line with the Southmead Project and its funders’ requirements.

13. Analyse data and feedback collected through outcomes processes to adapt and constantly improve the planning and delivery of the project sessions.

14. Contribute content for reports as required. 

15. Build and maintain positive relationships with partnership organisations for the project

16. Manage the day to day budget for the project sessions, keeping accurate records to report to the Head of Active Recovery and planning how the budget will be spent across sessions, within guidelines provided by the Head of Active Recovery.

17. Record data accurately and in a timely manner on Oasis.

18. Produce social media and website posts about the project, including producing and editing videos.

19. Attend monthly one-to-one line management meetings with the Head of Active Recovery. 

20. To attend monthly one-to-one clinical supervision with a Supervisor who is approved by the Southmead Project. Supervision is a requirement of this charity as an organisational member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Person Specification

ESSENTIAL

• Full drivers licence and access to own transport.

• Professional qualification, such as a Diploma or degree in Counselling or in other relevant fields of work, such as; social work, psychology, mental health, education, support work or similar: or extensive experience in any of these fields.

• A sound understanding of the issues affecting members who have experienced trauma and abuse.

• Experience in managing projects.

• At least 2 years’ experience of delivering groups in the community, preferably activity based.

Tower Hamlets Solace Advocacy and Support Service (SASS) provides advice and support to people aged 16+ in Tower Hamlets who are currently experiencing domestic abuse. Tower Hamlets SASS is a team made up of Core IDVAs, a Duty IDVA, and Co-located IDVAs; Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) IDVA, Housing IDVA, Housing Floating Support Worker, a MASH IDVA, a Hospital IDVA, and a GP IDVA.

About the Role 

We are looking for a Duty and Triage IDVA to join our team. The successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for incoming referrals to Tower Hamlets SASS. As the Duty IDVA you will triage referrals into the Tower Hamlets SASS team, responding to professionals and members of the public. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with external agencies. In addition, you will risk and needs assess and safety plan with survivors of domestic abuse. 

About You

The ideal candidate would have demonstrable experience of working with those affected by domestic and/or sexual violence and experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of a diverse and vulnerable client group.

You bring a solid understanding of housing, welfare, and policies relating to domestic and sexual violence, alongside strong administrative and time‑management abilities, including confident use of Excel and the capacity to juggle multiple tasks. You’re able to manage a busy and often complex caseload with professionalism and care.

You have a well‑developed understanding of the causes and dynamics of domestic and sexual abuse and the impact this has on victims and survivors. Your approach to work is flexible, empathetic, and grounded in the values of Solace Women’s Aid, with a commitment to empowering those you support.

The Operations Manager leads the day-to-day management of the office and administration team, oversees organisational operational and administrative systems, and acts as the key point of contact for all operational matters. They work collaboratively with the leadership team to develop, implement, evaluate and improve organisational operational policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance, ethical working, effective service coordination and high standard client, staff, partner and stakeholder experience. They line manage the operations and administrative staff, recruit and manage volunteers and the volunteering service and coordinate trainers and the training service. Reporting into the Director of Finance and Operations, the Senior Finance Manager will join a small and dynamic team, focussing on general finance processes, internal controls and systems. This is an exciting time to join the team as they are looking to further improve process efficiencies and assess the use of technology and automation within the team after the implementation of a new finance system in 2025. This is a varied and hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of charity accounting (particularly funds), excellent problem-solving skills and initiative. The successful candidate will be an experienced finance generalist with strong experience of a wide variety of finance processes. You will be well versed in leading on aspects of the year-end process and/or the annual audit, including producing year-end schedules, accounts and liaising with the auditors. You will bring demonstrable experience of having improved financial controls and processes and using technology or automation to improve efficiencies. You will also have some team management experience having supported finance staff previously.

AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment.  As part of this we provide bespoke travel training on London’s public transport network to and from school, college and work placements in the North London area.

We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible candidates to train and support young people to travel specified journeys safely and independently using public transport.

Overall Job Purpose

To train and support a young person to travel a specified journey safely and independently using public transport.  Record your observations and give feedback to the travel training coordinator, the young person and their family.  To take part in reviews of training as it progresses.

Working Conditions

• Casual working assignment with no minimum hours guaranteed

• Each assignment must be mutually agreed by both parties

• You will be expected to work mornings and/or evenings as required by the job and we will also consider job sharing for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support a young person door-to-door as they travel on public transport.
• Familiarise yourself with the following documents –

1. Journey Plan – describes the route you and the trainee will follow, and the alternative route(s) if the need arises. 
2. Risk Assessment – outlines the support needs of the trainee, and risks and strategies to mitigate them.

• Record your observations using standardised forms and relay your observations to the travel training coordinator on a weekly basis.
• Allow the young person to learn independently and only guide, support or intervene when necessary (this will be included in your induction)
• Approach travel training in a positive manner by reinforcing achievements and viewing obstacles as opportunities to learn.  Discuss strategies and agree solutions with the young person, their family and the travel training coordinator.
• To contact the travel training coordinator immediately if there are any emergencies or unexpected situations.
• Ensure that the young person is trained to use the alternative route safely and independently.
• Ensure that the young person learns and/or knows how to contact parents or carers in case of an emergency
• Any issues or concerns must be raised with the travel training coordinator or the business development manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Learn the support needs of the young person prior to training
• Become familiar with the route
• Become familiar with and then follow AFK’s safeguarding policies and procedures
